DO NOT use this shoe repair. First, the place is an unorganized and chaotic DUMP. I was charged 30 dollars for replacement sole pads on the heels of a pair of women's slip-ons. OUTRAGEOUS price for two little rubber pieces. I requested anti-slip strips for the toes (bottom of sole), glue down foot liners, and polish leather scuffs with gold cream polish. He did NONE of this. Additionally, when he nailed in one of the replacement heel caps, he split the heel of the shoe and now it's all uneven and broken. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!!!!!! read more

Fixed a badly damaged tennis shoe for a whole lot less than buying a new pair. A small store with quality service.

Did a great job re-gluing my tennis shoe soles! Just like having two brand new pairs!

I always get my shoes repaired at Jacks. Dirk does a really good job and saves some of my really expensive shoes from just having to be thrown away. One time when I was going on a trip and he hadn't quite gotten my shoes finished , he actually delivered them to my home for me just in time for me to take them on my trip! That's going above and beyond! I definitely recommend Jack's shoe shop if you need shoe repairs. read more

Took in my fairly beat-up dress shoes to Jack's and when I picked them up, they were like new! Wow. Dirk is a wizard with leather and making shoes look like new. Very reasonable prices and a quick turnaround. I was so impressed, my girlfriend took her leather sandals in there for some fixing up and I'm sure they'll look great! I have to get an inch lift on all my left shoes, and I've been going to Jack's shoe repair for almost 10 years. He doesn't overcharge, and the quality of his workmanship is excellent. I've taken my shoes to Jack's before and had great experiences. This time, I took 5 shoes in, all with different issues, but all minor. Upon arrival, his daughter gave me 5 tickets for my shoes and told me to place them wherever and they would be done in a week. One week later, I arrive to pick up my shoes and they were nowhere to be found. A few days later, my husband was able to pick up 4 of the 5 shoes, but they couldn't find my last shoe. My husbands repair broke within minutes of him putting his shoe on. We called week after week, we even showed up at the location to ask about the lost shoe and they could never locate it. We were told he would find it in the next week or 'make it right'. He then started screening our calls. It's been over 7 months and we still haven't found the shoe. Super bummed considering they were $80 pair of shoes. I would be hesitant to bring my shoes there for repair. They do great work but organizational skills could use some work. read more

I brought two pairs of heels in that were in need of some major fixing and had a flight to catch in 24 hrs I was hoping to get them fixed within that small time frame and Dirk got the job done, very nicely also! He texted me in the AM and let me know they were finished and ready for pickup. Affordable price very happy and highly recommend !! read more

It seems the guy wasn't paying attention when I told him what I needed to be done in my boots. I needed to get one sole glued, the scratches to be covered and the heels to be changed. A couple days later I got texts saying they were ready to pick up so I drove all the way up (30 minutes) to find out the sole was not glued and all the scratches still there, not even like some leather cream or anything. And I still paid the price he asked from the beginning. read more

Jack's Shoe Repair ROCKS !! I stopped in at 5:20PM last night (Store closed at 5:30PM btw) and I had a strap that broke off my backpack. I was going skinning the following morning and Jack did the repair right then & there. Had a number of GREAT stories about Ogden Valley which was fascinating. High Quality and off the hook Customer Service. Can't say enough good things. read more

I had a pair of western boots that the seeing had come apart. I took them in to Jack's and he was able to sew them back together and polish them for a very reasonable price. I would definitely go back for boot and shoe repairs. read more

Dirk is super cool, fixed my boots that I have had for 11+ yrs cheap and fast! Came here because of the reviews and I'm glad I did! He knew what to do, it took a couple of days longer than first estimated but probably because of how busy his shop is! read more

Jack was very helpful with my new leather boots! He stretched them a little... and then a little more! And only for one (super small) fee! ALSO, I forgot to ask when I had dropped off my boots but he appears to be cash only, be prepared ;) great service!!! read more

I had a pair of Doc Martin shoes that had developed cracks in the soles. Doc Martin would resole them for the price of a new pair of shoes. But Dirk at Jacks Shoe Repair did it for half the cost and I got a new set of Vibram half-soles applied to my Doc Martins. A great solution at an affordable price! Thanks, Dirk! read more

I read all the good reviews and took my favorite pair of boots to be re heeled. This was over 3 weeks ago and now he can't find my boots anywhere in his shop. The boots were $$ as they were for full calves and knee length. I am pretty sure my boots are gone forever, just letting you know my experience. read more

Absolutely flawless repair to a spendy pair of older boots! All shiney, snow proofed, and ready right on time. Highly recommend!

I would not recommend going here if you ever plan on getting your shoes back. I dropped a pair of sandles off over 2 weeks ago to be stretched, and went to pick them up last week and there was a sign hanging in the door that said he was "gone fishing." I tried back again today and he tried to hand me a gold pair of shoes that did not belong to me. I ended up having to dig through a pile of other peoples used shoes to find my own. All he could say was " they must have got buried." He said that he will get started on them right away and will have them done today but this will be my 3rd and last trip out there to pick them up. read more

I drive from Draper to Ogden any time I need shoes repaired. I love this shop. Love the service, love the price. Well worth the drive.

I had 2 pairs of boots to repair - the soles, heels and front toe on one. I went in and was told they would be ready in a few days on a set date. I returned on the set date and they weren't done. I was told to return on another date. I returned and found that only one pair was complete but to return on another date for my next pair. When I returned again they were finished. The work was good but the shop is disorganized and full of shoes - not sure how he keeps up with whose shoes are who's. My only complaint was the timeliness so if you're in a rush beware. Otherwise, the quality of his work was great and it cost $30 to repair 2 pairs of boots that I love rather than having to buy new pairs. read more

Had two of my heels repaired. Took about a week to get them fixed. The guy there who i think may be the owner was great, very friendly. The prices I would say we're reasonable for the service of my heels. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing their expensive heels fixed instead of having to throw them out. read more

This guy was able to fix my bag. What a life saver! I'm lucky that this isn't lost a lost trade and it looks like his shop has been here for a long time. He used some old machines and had it done in minutes. It was petty cool to watch. This store has some history from the looks of that old pair of shoes in the window. Thanks Derk for saving my favorite bag. The strap is holding better than the original. read more

I needed the zipper repaired on my boot, and he did good work, but he definitely misplaced my shoes for about 24 hours. He was a nice, friendly man, but a little unorganized to say the least. I had to come back the next day to pick them up once he'd found them. I've not been able to find another shoe repair shop in Ogden, and he did a fine job with the repair, so we will likely keep coming here. read more

I just moved to the Ogden area and got lost on the way to the store. I called them maybe 5 times because I couldn't find the store due to my phone wanting to take me to north Ogden. He was very nice and had no problem helping me find where I was going. He never acted irritated at all. I dropped off my sons cowboy boots to have them stretched. It was very inexpensive and he did a great job. All the spots that were hurting my 2 year olds feet were fixed and he wore his boots for 5 hours the day after getting them back without a single complaint. I would highly recommend him and will go to him in the future. read more

Don't waste your time here, he ruined my boots! It took this man almost ONE Month to finish my boots! He had a million excuses. I should have known by the huge disorderly mess of shoes he had piled all over. He told me they would be ready in four days (this was on my ticket) Well, that time frame came and went as did all his excuses. When I came in today and picked them up, the job he did was anything but professional. My boots look horrible! I asked for a discount, since he made me wait so long..no such luck. I got home and tried them on...THEY DONT FIT ME! What did he do? Oh my gosh, please don't take your shoes to him! I am going to let him know what a shoddy job he did. I will file a report with the BBB. There is no saving these boots that I loved so much, I now have to throw them out. He should have to buy me a new pair. Too bad there isn't a Nordstrom here in Utah. I am so upset. Unless you want to gamble with your shoes, DONT BRING THEM TO THIS PLACE. The workmanship is horrible. read more
