We've been searching for a new go-to Christmas tree farm since moving to Athens area about 2 years…read moreago and I believe we've found it with 7 G's farm! We had gotten Leyland Cyprus's in the past at another tree farm when we lived elsewhere and loved them, but had heard that Murray Cyprus's are more sturdy, so we were excited to find that 7 G's has a wide selection of them. For our first trip to the farm the workers explained all the tree options they have and exactly how their process works. They have carts to help you wheel your cart to the front once you've cut it down which is nice and convenient. Or, if you struggle cut it down or just don't want to, they had workers with golf carts who could help. The prices were reasonable, the trees were beautiful, and everyone was friendly and helpful. I definitely plan to return again for my future trees!

They also have a gift store where they sell ornaments, Christmas Gifts, homemade jellies, wreaths and others. The atmosphere is truly unique smelling all the lovely Trees. They are part of the "Trees for Troops" association and this year they donated us a Tree. A lovely Neylor Blue. This tree never shedded and its fragrance brought peace through the Holidays. Thank you to the 7 G's Farm Staff!!

Last year, we missed our chance to come up and pick a tree, so we had to go to a different tree farm. It was OK, but just not as good an experience. We had a wonderful time, but we had a hard time finding a tree that would work for us. I called up to the "office" a few times, and got an answer on the fourth attempt. They ARE busy, so it wasn't an issue for me. I wanted to double-check the policy on the trees. (Bow: reserved for a customer; Yellow Tag: already sold; White, Red, or Blue Tags: for sale; No Tag: saving these for next year's crop.) After inquiring and letting them know we were having a hard time finding a tree, they let us know to call back if we couldn't find anything. However, a couple minutes later, they called back to let us know that they'd reached out to management and they quoted us a price per foot for an untagged tree. (This was a special circumstance.) We finished up and found some lovely gift shop items. They still have hot cocoa with marshmallows, but the cider and peanuts are gone. They are also employing a very kind Santa Claus for customers to get free pictures. The gentleman that tied our tree down gave great care to the act and was very personable. The only downsides: parking is a little iffy since the neighbors decided to rope off the area that they used to share, going up ahead of time and reserving your tree is still the best option, and the neighbors don't want non-picture-customers walking over on their land anymore...so, no more petting/visiting/feeding the goats or cows. So, all in all, everything was pretty great- despite the changes.

This place was fantastic and also very convenient. This was a cut your own place Right off of Prospect Road, and we got a 9 1/2 foot tree for $114. I didn't feel like cutting the tree myself so they cut it for free but they got a good tip. Super friendly and quick and lots of trees to pick from. We will be going there every year.
