To be fair, the standard haircuts come with aftershave and all these other additional services that many other haircut services do not include, but I personally think it should be optional, instead of a part of the most standard haircut price. Also despite great service, the haircut was just not what we wanted. My boyfriend showed a picture of how he wanted his hair to look, and he did say "a bit shorter," but it was significantly shorter, like at least 1 inch/50% shorter, and the hair style was also quite different... we were both pretty disappointed in the haircut and I think it's safe to say this was my boyfriend's least favorite haircut he has ever gotten. I guess the pro tip would to show an accurate photo and be extremely clear on what you want, because aside from the styling and length, the place is clean, the service is great.

I trust this place to use a straight razor properly on my head and my throat. Hot towel and massage service with a full shave. Value: I paid $50 for the shave service. Again worth the price for a straight razor shave. Facility: I love the atmosphere in this shop. Old school barber with all the modern convinces for a good shave.

That was my 2nd time there and probably last time as well…read more You can see on the picture how they messed up my hair. It was last Sunday, they were really busy the guy was rushing on my haircut. i waited about 35 minutes and he finished my hair cut within 3 to 4 minutes. After he finished I looked at the mirror and saw some hair in my back need to be trimmed because he didn't trim it, by that time already started another person so I was standing he trimmed it with the same machine. I found so many white hair on me which I don't have at all that means someone previously did haircuts who has white hair and barber didn't clean the machine at all very dirty and unhygienic. The cashier lady seems like manager she is really nice. First time haircut was good because they weren't busy and barber did good job but this time was very disappointing.

I'm from Orange country and have been going to my barber for the past 10 years…read more Since moving to Carson, I still drive to see my original barber, which is about a 45 min drive now. Recently there has been times where I could not make that drive, so I had to look for the local barber here in Carson and Harbor City. As you know, looking for another barber can be tricky, especially if you are already set with your original barber, which I never had issues with. I don't usually post a bad review, but this is not directly at Tony's barber shop, but rather for the barber. I had been here twice, first was with Ray, no issue, straight forward. 2x Ray wasn't available, so I went with Ruben, straight forward, plus he was able to explain to me how to grow my hair to the style I wanted and he would take care it. Hair cut was $22, I told him he would be my go to barber. 3x around I brought my son, he was taken care by another barber and I waited for Ruben again. Once everything was done, I went to pay, $22 for my son and I thought $22 for me, but Ruben said that my would be $25. I was kind of taken back by that, but I still paid the $25 and I even gave $2 for tip. I understood that I should have asked first for the price and I would have been okay with the $25 up front, but it of kind of bother me that he didn't explain why my hair cut was now $25 instead of $22. I'm not sure if he changed it up because my hair needed more time, but I wished he was more clear on the price that's all. Anyway next time, rule of thumb, ask for the price first before getting the hair cut, so you can avoid this issue. And also stick to your original barber if you can. For me it's worth it even if it's a long drive.

Given i have long hair all around, i asked her if she could make it look good and do what she had to. She decided to leave my hair completely uneven. She argued saying it was my fault for having a messed up line to begin with. Her coworker then calls me over and agrees with me that she messed up my haircut. She then attacked me saying i wanted a free haircut. He must be the owner because he is in the corner and actually know how to cut hair.
