As first time home buyers, we were not sure how to decide about the condition of the house, beyond what we could 'see'. He was passionate and did a job as if he were buying the house. Having recently been scammed by another inspector on the same property, we knew what bad looked like. And John was on the exact opposite end of the spectrum. Trust him to give you an honest, expert and professional review of the house before you make a call. We actually decided not to buy the house as we learnt about the structural issues in the house - we would've been stuck with a lemon if not for John.

It was very easy to schedule an appointment and communicate with him up until our appointment time. Prices were reasonable and fair. He was prompt and spent hours on an incredibly thorough inspection. We really appreciated Mike's attention to detail and how hardworking he was. He prepared a detailed report for us not long after the inspection was complete. My father-in law commented on how some inspectors will bring a drone to hover over the roof instead of climbing up. Mike was actually up on the roof himself and really checked out every nook and cranny of the house. There are so many boxes to check off when home-buying, and I appreciate that Mike made this a smooth process. Definitely suggest if you need a home inspection North Jersey!

Accurate Inspections and Michael have a reputation of a very thorough inspector, which sometimes…read morecauses controversy, so I hope I can clarify the situation a little. Michael provides a super thorough inspection and pays attention even to the smallest details. He points out loose stones in the stairs, narrow parking spots that claim to fit more cars than it is realistically possible, stair handles placed uncomfortably, among other things. He also points out important things that are done not up to code and can cause serious issues down the line. It is a responsibility of a buyer to evaluate the findings and apply them, whether in negotiations with the seller, or just for your own reference later to understand what requires fixing and how urgent it is. And knowing that in advance, I think I received a superior service, because thanks to Michael, not only I received a concession from a buyer to fix an improperly installed, though working, garage door, but also avoided troubles with insurance company later by requesting asbestos removal and obtaining corresponding certificate. Michael's commission may be a bit higher than the market, but it's well worth it.
