Recently our party visited the The Winter Arts Festival from December 13 - 14, 2025. [Admission]: Free event located in the heart of Downtown Burbank. [Parking]: Free parking, but very difficult to find an available spot without any prior research (no luck at the 133 E Orange Grove Ave Garage - it is the same lot sharing with the AMC Burbank 16), but our party found a secret public parking lot with plenty of available spots at 348 E Palm Ave Parking (the same lot shares with Burbank Police Department). [What to expect]: There were over 170+ handmade artisan booths on San Fernando Boulevard from Magnolia Blvd to Angeleno Ave. S-tier art vendors from indie goods, jewelry design, paper goods, art, photography, food, etc. Several vendors were offering free food samples. I spotted at least 3 musicians playing both holiday and pop songs. The festival was a lot bigger than I thought and it took our party about 30+ minutes to see most of vendors. There were a Christmas tree with a tunnel & a booth making ornaments for free. Visitors can also take pictures with Santa from 12 PM to 4 PM. [Conclusion]: I like this arts festival a lot because (1) many vendors were selling super cute items and not just limiting to traditional arts and canvases, (2) free parking, (3) live music, and (4) free food samples. Overall it was an absolutely pleasant surprise and I would consider coming back to this festival again.

We often underestimate the creativity and ingenuity of our local American artists and geniuses but…read moreoften, they do thrive in our valleys, cities, towns and small villages. They don't scale up their creations for the general public or manufacturing large quantities for international consumption but do sell them locally and are happy to always do so. Many social media comments have denigrated America's ability not to make its dish soaps, kitchen tools and spoons etc.. but if challenged to do so, WE HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE and artisans who can do all these. We drove to Downtown Burbank Winter Arts Festival and I counted 200 tents of artisans with varying items and beautiful items being showcased. Parking is everywhere but the mall parking was the best choice. Prices are very reasonable and the event was being curated by Jackalope (Indie Artisan Fair). There was plenty of volunteers, law enforcement to keep the peace and thousands of people. Food was everywhere and I probably walked more than 10,000 steps for the day.

The only negative were the prizes for the games. At five bucks a pop you would think they would…read more give out stuffed animals for winning the games, but instead they would just give generic toys you would find at the dollar store. This fair does have rides , which looked pretty fun. The food was your typical fair food, everything we tried was ok. I appreciated the security at the front entrance checking people in. There was a good command presence, and they did a good job walking around making sure everything was on the up and up. There were plenty of tables and chairs to eat and enjoy the live entertainment. The crowd was having fun and the volunteers did a good job keeping everything running smoothly. It's always nice to support the local schools They have silent auction and hourly 50/50 raffles. The parking lot gets full rather quickly, so expect to look for street parking. All in all it was a fun outing

The amount of carnival games I almost non-existent for a fair, as there were only 6 games total for attendees to play. Definitely not enough variety for kids. And winning tickets which they needed to redeem for prizes that looked rather sad and definitely not even worth $1, even for 6+ tickets is just sad. A slightly positive in that most games were priced reasonably for current standards at $3-5 ea play. The lines for the rides were all very lengthy and doubt you could really get your money's worth from the unlimited ride wristband. Otherwise each ride would cost from $6 and up. The food selection was average though with plenty of varied options. While I do like to support the local community when I can, not sure I would attend this again next year with the decrease in carnival type atmosphere and seemingly more of a pocketbook stretcher to get any fun out of this fair.

For actual food food, we gorged on Brazilian BBQ, thai, indian, sushi, burgers, and much, much more! For dessert, we had ice cream, tiramisu, cupcakes, pastries, and caramel apple slices (they were giving out WHOLE ones but started to run out...darn!) My favorite food vendors were Porto's and Haagen Dazs. I kept going back for more ice cream, and ended up getting three scoops of three different flavors. Mmm. I had a scoop of Half Baked from Ben and Jerry's too. And along with the Porto's desserts I ate, I took home a creme brulee, red velvet cupcake, and a hard candy apple. YES I AM A GREEDY, GREEDY LITTLE GIRL, muahaha! I was disappointed with Kabuki's offerings. And honestly, you know what a CPK pizza tastes like...I tended to stray away from the generic chains and tried some of the more "exotic" goodies that I wouldn't normally try. Portions are just the right size too, I think. You don't get TOO full before you've tried all you want to try. Then you can go back for seconds of the things you want. Yelp was awesome enough to also include tickets to the beer and wine garden, so the boyfriend enjoyed that. You get 5 samples of 4oz. cups of beers or wine. What I wish I had known beforehand: -You can get blue plastic plates at a table up front...it reduces waste and gives you more room to get more samples! But they ran out by the time I got there. -Parking is a *$#(%)*$ (but free!) -Gotta get the whole apples while you can -Take your time. I was running around and stressing out for the first 30 minutes thinking that the lines would take forever and then the vendors were going to run out of food...they won't, don't worry! The event featured over 200 cars across 6 city blocks. San Fernando Blvd was closed from Magnolia to Angeleno. Pre-1974 sports cars, exotics, cruisers, and hot rods were displayed along the boulevard. At the red carpet area were vehicles that have been featured in films or television shows such as Batman, Mad Max, Back to the future, Grease, etc. Live music, chalk art, face painting, and several DJs really made this a terrific family event. Various vendor booths were also present to promote their commodities. Each booth gave away some goodies to the public. So what else can you ask for? Free event with free goodies with tons of fun, winner!

Angeleno Avenue and S. 3rd Street. Olive is closed so head up E. Verdugo or E. Angeleno and turn left on Third. It seems like no one knows about this structure and it's free. I enjoyed seeing all the woodworking sculptures and unique paintings and photographic works. My wife liked the jewelry and custom clothing. We both wanted to get the Apple Cobbler, but it ran out within two hours of the festival opening. I'm hoping they will have more today, so that we can enjoy some of the food available!

Pulled up curious. Left entertained…read more Burbank Village has that low-effort cool factor. On a regular day it's fine. Clean. Walkable. Easy to bounce around. But when the special events hit, that's when it locks in. Pop-ups. Live stuff. Random programming that makes it feel intentional instead of just a pass-through. You can feel the difference immediately. At night the vibe shifts. Lights on. Music bleeding through the walkways. Groups lingering. Couples circling. Everyone moving with no real rush. It gets packed, but not in a suffocating way. More like communal energy. You bump shoulders. You people-watch. You stay longer than planned. Parking is the wildcard. If you know, you know. A self-contained event, you were allowed to bring your own chairs, food, etc.. Pet-friendly with water bowls and treats throughout the venue, they tied themselves to the non-profit organization Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles and No Kill Los Angeles (NKLA) to help with pet adoption. Would this nostalgic return and revamped idea of the drive-in movie pull at my sentimental strings to return for more!? PURCHASE General Admission Ticket/Seat ($14.00 + fees) - Purchased online (priced higher at the door the day of the event), this was open seating, so first come-first served. Armed with a low chair (ABSOLUTELY NO TALL CHAIRS), blanket, cushion, and pillow to sit on just in case, I claimed an unobstructed spot center screen at the very top of the seating area. Tickets also gained access to food trucks and live pre-movie music performance. Below were other ticketing options (things brought were the same): 1. Fashionably Late Tickets ($21.00 + fees - online purchase only) offered a limited quantity of guaranteed open seating tickets in a reserved area at the front of the house that allowed you to arrive at any time (hopefully before the movie started!). 2. Kids 12 & Under Tickets (approx. $8.00 + fees) offered the same as "General Admission". 3. Groups of 10 or more had group rates available. OVERALL Eat See Hear on the lawn of The Autry Museum was my favorite location because of its closeness to home, beautiful surroundings, and a ton of free parking.
