This is our first time to go to Holiday Road or any Xmas lighting events... so, we did not know what to expect. Their page is also popped up on my social media feeds frequently. We got 25% off from IG/FB. $80 for 2, $10 parking. We booked 5 pm entry. We could come between 5 to 5:30 pm. The parking was well organized. There was no line. There are many food trucks with variety of food choices (donuts, Korean food truck, vietnamese food truck, Wise BBQ, kettle corn, etc.) There is a bar for alcoholic drinks as well as hot chocolate or eggnog. There are multiple theme decorations, snow making machine, santa workshops, etc. It is about 1.5 mile easy strolling and pet friendly. Overall, we enjoyed the experience.

*** November 28th, 2025 to December 27th, 2025 *** This is the 6th season for Holiday Road and it is an outdoor holiday experience to see Christmas displays, lights, fields of candy canes, face painting, food trucks, and tons of photo opportunities. The "road" is a 0.75 mile long self-guided walking trail. Most visitors spend 1-hour to 1.5-hour on the grounds. [Location]: The trail is located at King Gillette Ranch. I had minimal cellular signal so make sure to load the GPS direction ahead of time. [Price]: Tickets are $24.99 and up depending on the day. Children 2 years and under are free and do NOT require a ticket. Visitors must purchase a Parking Pass to access the parking lot (no Parking Pass is needed if you are being dropped off). Have digital tickets ready for scanning on the TIXR app or alternatively print a copy of ticket for scanning upon arrival. Our party paid $34.99 per person and $9.99 for a parking pass (plus online transaction fees). [Hours]: Parking lot opens at 4:30 PM. The grounds open from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Trail Entrance, food trucks, bars, and stores open at 5:00 PM and closes at 9:00 PM. Trail ticket times starting from 5 PM until 8 PM. Visitors must select a time slot and the website states visitors must be present at the check-in during the stated arrival window or they will be turned away and no refund will be provided. Our part arrived slightly late by 30 minutes and was still able to get in. [Amenities]: Portable restrooms are available on the grounds. [Special notes]: No pets allowed on the grounds. Expect uneven dirt grounds with big pebbles at the parking lot & many visitors almost tripped as they walked from the parking lot to the entrance - so watch each step. However once visitors are inside of the grounds, then the grounds become easy to navigate for anyone bringing a stroller. [Experience]: It was fairly cold so bring a jacket and/or beanie. It felt like one of those Christmas night walks at botanic gardens plus some big puffy, out of portion, and wacky Christmas decors (e.g. Frosty the Snowman driving a steam locomotive, elves climbing trees, a gingerbread boy with a ribbon hairbow, etc.) Heck our party even saw a LED screen showing AI mariah carey when 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' was played. While some other Christmas lights are more agnostic, visitors will see more decors celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and Hanukkah. [Conclusion]: A 3.5-star experience - bump down on mediocre food truck options, semi pricey tickets, and the non-stroller-friendly parking lot.

I love coming here and seeing the lights every December but I have to say, it would really help to have more noticeable signage at the entrance- point a light at it, use reflective tape, something. The road is so dark and it's so easy to drive past it (which I have, almost every year). That being said, I appreciate that there's food trucks and drinks available for purchase. There is a hot cocoa bar (and a regular bar) right as you enter the path. There are also several photo-ops which is always nice. I feel like paying for parking is pushing it though- the tickets are already expensive enough as it is. It should be included in the ticket price.

We really had a great time here Christmas Eve! Perfect way to spend the evening from 7 PM to 9:30 PM closing and so memorable. They have so many different sections, light shows, and even a Hanukkah section. You walk the whole thing--allow 2 hours. We sang along to many holiday songs and took so many pictures. They have quality food trucks with elevated prices for this event--Nothing is less than about $20 it seems. We shared chicken from the chicken truck and it was great. Is this something I would go to year after year? No. Would I go again in the future and recommend it to others? Definitely! Tickets range from $25 to $35 depending on day and time. Parking is $7.00 and very organized in a dirt lot. Million Dollar advice: Bring an SUV or Truck or any vehicle with clearance. Don't think for a second of coming here with a low profile car--you will have pain! The parking lot and road to it is unimproved dirt with lots of rocks and ruts and holes. Fortunately, we took my friends Truck--perfect, no problem. And some of the path here is dirt so hiking shoes are a good idea unless you don't mind dirt on your athletic shoes--don't wear sandals or dress shoes or open toe shoes--think "hike." And you will walk approximately 2 to 3 miles. Allow 2 hours to see everything and stop and enjoy it and take pics. If you have never been, put this on your calendar for next year--runs from the End of Nov to the End of Dec. Check out my pics to get a flavor of the fun!

My family invited me to holiday road. It was easy to get a ticket an hour before 530 on 12/22. If you're coming from the 101 freeway be aware las virgenes can have lots of traffic for this event so come earlier than your expected eta. To enter you make a left onto Mulholland from Las Virgenes towards the valley with The entrance away from the intersection to help traffic flow. It is well signed and there's many employees to tell you where to go. Be aware of the parking lot, it's a bit rough with gravel and dirt so if you have a fancy low car don't bring it. Parking was super easy and it's a short walk to entrance. Very kid friendly. The actual holiday road is plain dirt/asphault. I have foot pain and was able to walk. Would not recommend footwear that can roll your ankle. Ada accessible. Bring something warm to wear, it's cold here. Many options for food: burgers, desserts, adult beverages, bbq, elote, and much more! I ordered the Ho Ho Ho Hot Chocolate. It was nice! There are trash cans along route. I'm sure there are bathrooms but I didn't check. It was about a two mile walk and I live close by. The light displays were amazing and there's plenty of areas to take pictures! There's a few prop Santa's and real Santa to take pics with! Definitely worth it if you want a see a family friendly pretty light display. It was busy because people were anticipating bad weather upcoming and we never waited to get in and it wasn't too crowded on the road. There's also a Halloween themed road I haven't tried. I enjoyed this. Give it a try!

Always loved visiting for Santa and all the lights! However, The displays appear to be the same every year. Tips- check out the Makers Mark booth for complimentary whiskey and a free dipped glass! Many people don't know about this. Also, complimentary vodka seltzer nearby! You can also Win a prize too from playing a throwing game.

Me and my girlfriend went last year with our friend and it was the best experience! We all had so much fun together taking pictures and just feeling the overall vibe of Christmas, and they do just that. I highly recommend this place as it's also a perfect family environment.

We love this place! This was our 2nd year coming here. We have made it a December 1st tradition :) It's a great place and it's awesome that you can go at your own pace. Lots of great holiday decor and lights to look at! A bunch of food trucks and seating when you enter! Plus some cool shops to buy things. Can't forget about the bars for some festive holiday drinks! Can't wait to continue this tradition for the 3rd time in 2025!

Magical experience! Me and my family come 3 years in a row and definitely come back this year!! So beautiful and heartwarming! Highly recommend! You'll enjoy it!

One of my aforementioned dear friends in the "Biz" Peter, reached out and invited me to his movie's world premiere "Visage" at the Calabasas Film Festival which during the second week in September takes Calabasas by storm. I graciously accepted and called a stunningly beautiful sexy aspiring thespian to join me at this weeklong first class shindig in Calabasas. The festival is the brainchild and labor of love for the dynamic duo of industry professionals and heavy hitters Joe Fries and Natalie Khoury. Truly a first-class event with all the bells and whistles that takes over the Edwards Stadium Cinemas at the Commons to showcase these badboys and party on the red carpet like it's 1999... The event is the showcase and launching pad for a collaboration of brilliant short films, documentaries and world premiere feature films alike. Upon arrival, aside from the opulent setting and first-class venue, the requisite entertainment community comes out dressed to the 9's to be seen, heard and photographed. Suffice to say Natalie does it all and grass doesn't grow under her perfectly manicured toes as she's a world-class juggler and head honcho in heels, all the while, charming, engaging, personable and professional with refined decorum and a perpetual smile. We were treated like "A" listers and afforded all the creature comforts that one would come to expect of this magnificent event which showcased "Crash Pad, Lemon, Visage and Year of the Scab" an award-winning ESPN production to name just a few. OMG people the after party was all that and a bag of chips. After the evening movie premiere's, we were escorted to the Calabasas City Hall courtyard that directly adjoins the Theatre at the Calabasas Commons for a private catered party. This gala, shindig and smooze fest were off the hook as nearly 1,000 Hollywood peeps of all shapes, sizes, and degrees of stardom were treated to a live band, multiple outdoor bars, food stations, Jeni's handmade Ice cream made and served on site along with more red carpet pictures and the omnipresent paparazzi and entertainment reporters broadcasting live... We were hoping to be interviewed by my friend Chris Harrison or have our fashion reviewed by Melissa Rivers but no luck maybe next year they will make an appearance! We were dazzled and had an amazing evening under the stars in Calabasas. What Joe and Natalie have created, nurtured and developed is truly magical and impressive. They are genuine, sincere and rockstars in the "Biz" yet grounded and caring not typically words associated with Hollywood types that's because these are Calabasas Film Festival peeps lol What was amazing and impressive was considering the sheer magnitude of the event and number of people that they hosted, because each and every time that my date and I came into contact with Joe, his daughters or Natalie we were welcomed, embraced, engaged, looked in the eye, greeted by name, asked if we needed anything and introduced to friends and colleagues alike. Needless to say, we didn't enjoy the experience because it was hard to see the Christmas lights in broad day light. After the drive-thru experience was over, I found myself frustrated. After all, we drove over an hour to see these lights. Due to my frustration, we decided to go back to the entrance to see if we could go through again. It was starting to get dark and I wanted to see the lights at night time (because who wants to see Christmas lights in the day?) Luckily, the person at the front was kind enough to let us go back through. So, after seeing this drive-thru in broad day light and again at night, this is my takeaway: - The entry tunnel was the only tunnel that I actually enjoyed. The problem is that you are rushed through it because it's near the entrance so you don't really have time to take it all in. - Some of the lighted tunnels had potential to look really good, but instead looked incomplete and tacky. The poles should have been painted or covered in garland. - Too many random advertisements. -It's overpriced. The price would be OK if the vehicle you are in is loaded with bodies, but it is not logical for a car with only one or two people. -The actors serve no purpose. I'm glad that some of the actors have the opportunity to work during this Covid crisis, but honestly, they did nothing to make the experience better. Would I go to this drive-thru again? No. The experience didn't feel very Christmas-y and it was too cheesy for my taste.

If you are the driver it may be difficult for you to take photos while driving. Before leaving the experience a small baggie was given and small candies and toys are inside. The entire thing was about 30 minutes or so. You have the option of taking a photo at the very end of the light show where you get out of your car and get in line. It is free digital photo with your QR code. You are allowed to take pictures with your own phone as well. They do spray the inside of the container with Lysol after every party.

Our day started off with a visit to Santa Clause, who was set up in a cute area with Christmas trees and decorations. Santa was super nice and attentive to our excited son! As we approached the end of the walkway, we were excited to see fire trucks! An event isn't complete without fire trucks and those plastic, red fire hats! We then bumped into Olaf and took several pics. Was a fun photo op for our son. Then we headed towards the kids' art studio. They had free face painting out front. Inside the studio, there was a gingerbread ornament painting activity with a $10 purchase. Then we were off to Tifa gelato for some free hot coco with marshmallows - such a yummy treat during that wet and cold afternoon. Next, we headed over to the Canyon club to see the Beat Buds perform. This was a last-minute venue change from outdoors due to the weather. It was great having it at the club; allowing for the kids to dance on the dance floor. The Beat Buds were so entertaining, and our son enjoyed his very first concert! Then, we walked around outdoors to check out the vendors located in the parking lot. Finally, it was time for an early dinner. We didn't have to go far since there were several great options! What a fun-filled, packed day! I am looking forward to next year and will tell everyone about it!

The Market Hall was the main space for the festivities, with the surrounding businesses showing off their wintry decorations, too. Definitely a festive, feel good free event, which is easy to navigate. We enjoyed sampling Numero Uno pizza, and sliders from Wood Ranch BBQ. There were some unique items for sale from various vendors, with a variety of choices to browse amongst. The adjacent shops are decked out in lots of twinkly glitz. So glad we came over to browse.
