Service is friendly and fast and the space is lively without being overwhelming. Their food menu isn't the best if you have dietary limitations but there are still a couple vegetarian and gluten-friendly options. I had their caprese salad which was served deconstructed with microgreens and 2 different types of tomatoes. You can never go wrong with bocconcini cheese! As for drinks, they have some great happy hour specials and the house red wine was surprisingly drinkable. They also have an extensive cocktail list with their twists on the classics and a formidable whisky collection.

Went last Saturday to catch a friend's band play, and I'm so happy I did! It was a gorgeous day-- perfect for a patio sit, and lots of folks were all there for the same purpose, so it was super relaxed and chill. Our server, Mandy, was unrufflable and funny. The perfect server. The manager, David, is really great. Friendly and super welcoming, considering I'd only been once before. I noticed that he was attempting to change out the sandwich board for the band, so asked if I could help (ex art major, with a lot of typography experience). He was happy to let me. So that was fun. :) I had a couple beers and the Italian sausage flatbread pizza. OMG! SO good! And the prices were perfectly respectable. Definitely planning to make this place a regular stop on my relaxing/drinking/socializing rounds now.

Nice and tight musicianship and good stage presence. The audience all seemed to know each other-- big fans there for the final show of their friends. Some of the women were a bit...shall we say...long in the tooth, intent on imagining themselves as they were in their 20s. However, 30-something years of chain smoking and frying their hair with fake blonde (turning it to straw), has aged them considerably. Wearing outfits cut down to there to make up for that. So if you're a dude of a certain age, you'll probably get lucky if you want. Depends on your tastes. The bartender and cocktail waitress were practically surly. The bathrooms were tiny and a little ramshackle. $15 cover charge. Can't judge the food because I just had beer, but at least I didn't have to have cash and could use a debit card for a tab, so that was good.

Barney's has an outdoor patio completely glassed in with lots of plants and greenery to look at. Located in the Best Western Plus, it offers fine dining at reasonable prices. The staff really made our day. They were struggling with a rush on Father's day, but really made up for it. The steaks are excellent. I had the best chicken Caesar salad in the world. I've actually been around the world, so I can speak with some authority. The only problem was the side dish of grilled corn on the cob was ice cold. They replaced it, but it still wasn't coming out hot. Oh well, corn isn't that good for you anyway, right? The fries were awesome. The wine list was decent. I'd consider coming back here again if I'm driving the QE 2 and feeling a bit peckish.

I was there with a large group of people, who have been to this establishment several times on Wing…read moreWednesdays in the past. The past experiences have all been fantastic and with a standard wait time for a large group. This evening was a completely different story. I am not sure the young woman's name, but I was with the group at the back of the restaurant. I got my ice tea with no ice in a timely manner; however another customer had to ask twice for his root beer, which in the end after an hour, I went up to the Bar and grabbed. As well, another customer had to ask twice for his beer that he ordered and when it didn't come out, he too had to go up to the bar to receive his beer. During this time, several other customers have arrived and been helped with drink orders and food orders being taken. My food order was taken shortly after 6pm, and at 720pm the waitress was told to come deal with our table as we were still waiting...... that was when we were informed, she hadn't put our orders in as the "page" was missed. I told her to cancel my order and that I wasn't paying for my drink at this point, and to bring the manager over. The manager was highly unprofessional and arrogant. I was pointing out that we had people order drinks twice and still not received them until we went up ourselves to get them. That is when the manager came back and said it's due to the fact that the large group was allowed here tonight, as the policy is to not allow large groups on Wing night. Which I find funny as I have been to three other event nights with this group on wing nights, one earlier this year. He then proceeded to laugh at myself when I said I was a server and was informed by him that he feels sorry for anyone who deals with my energy in person. Your server never once came to check on my table, we had to grab her each time. She was more focused on the larger tables around us, as they all were getting refills of their drinks, their food in a timely manner and their bills. I can understand large groups are harder on the staff, but when people who came in after yourself are getting drinks, and food..... when you ordered before them, and then you have to have someone else not from your table ask the waitress to do her job and take care of our table as others are noticing we are all just sitting there. That is horrible service and not only will I be sending this email, but I will be copying it and posting it on google and yelp, as well as Facebook. Not sure what happened, as like I stated before, the past times I have been there with this large group, everyone has been handled in a timely manner, but to have a full table forgotten and then the waitress to say she forgot to put the food orders in, as she "missed" the page but it took over an hour for her to even stop at the table plus she had to be asked to check on us by other customers, that's not right.

They had a special lunch performance of Irish dancing which was fun and a great surprise. My bestie and I partook in a cocktail which was dyed green. It was tasty and festive. We both decided on the St. Patrick Day special which was Steak bites in Guinness gravy served with mashed potatoes. At first, looking at it, it wasn't too appealing. However, it was delicious. The gravy was so tasty and had great notes of pepper in it. It could have had more steak and potatoes in it though. I will keep this in mind for next St. Patrick's Day. It was a great, entertaining time where we had a taste and drink of the Irish. Check it out.
