Three nine hole courses...Dunes, Jungle, and Lakes. The fairways and greens were beautiful. We played all three over two days. The Dunes was the most difficult for us. We liked the dry areas, but don't hit your ball in them, and some of the water obstacles were large. I dropped my ball across the water, as I thought I may lose a ball. The Jungle was the hottest course....no breeze on this summer day, but we liked playing it, too. The golf attendants are very friendly and helpful. Sign in at the Club House. Grab a bite and coffee or juice at the Continental breakfast. Get a cart and head out.

it seems to have gone downhill. Very unorganized and very understaffed. Would probably think twice before booking a day to golf here.

We brought our clubs, and afterward he cleaned our clubs and stored them while we ate lunch. The lunch was very good, sandwiches with two salads. I had the chicken wrap. It was delicious. Hubs had the skirt steak sandwich. It came on a lot of bread. He ate just the steak that wasn't much, and the French fries that came with the sandwiches were good. There is a full bar. Other drinks included a couple of Mexican beers and soda pops. Everything was clean and well kept. The morning hours were busy. At 11 a.m. the course was less crowded, and we finished 18 holes easily. The course is flat with a few water features.

Not sure we'd return. This is an older well known golf course but well maintained. We'd play here…read morebefore some years ago and enjoyed ourselves so we were looking forward to returning. There are a couple of crocodiles along the course, close to the fairways and walkways - they seem well fed - leave them alone and they will leave you alone. The club is small but they are attentive and you can get a decent breakfast or lunch. We arrived 10 minutes late due to a misunderstanding of the tee time and they did fit the 2 of us about 30 minutes later. Unfortunately we got stuck after 2 groups of 4 and that first group was super slow. The second group just in front of us apologized even though they too were waiting. The staff apologized. They should have had us skip ahead but did not. But after 9 holes, we totally gave up. We rented golf clubs and it as an assortment and not the best.

Iberostar Golf - We were going to skip it but the gater moved, so we kept playing. Great course and great service!

The Den ended up being one of my favorite places at Hyatt Ziva Cancún -- not just because of the…read morecocktails, but because of the people. I had the pleasure of meeting Eduardo, who I'm assuming manages The Den. He recommended that rather than continuing to order individual drinks, I purchase a bottle that I could keep there and enjoy at my convenience throughout the stay. For us, it ended up being a much better value. More importantly, Eduardo was incredibly down to earth and genuinely seemed to take ownership of the experience at The Den. He made sure we were comfortable, taken care of, and enjoying our time there. That was actually what stood out most to me about this place. The cocktails are excellent, but I probably enjoyed the conversations with the staff even more. Eduardo shared his perspective on the differences between Cancún and the area near Mexico City where his family is from. I also had a great conversation with Jorge, who is from Oaxaca, and with the gentleman who made my cocktails throughout the stay -- unfortunately, I can't remember his name, but he did an excellent job. The Den itself has a completely different feel from the busier areas of the resort. It's quiet, comfortable, and a great place to get away for a little while. There's something nice about sitting down, having a well-made cocktail, and actually being able to have a conversation with the people behind the bar. It's also a perfect stop before dinner. Come down a little early, have a cocktail, relax, and then head to your reservation. If you're heading back to the pool, they'll even put your drink in a plastic cup so you can take it with you. Definitely a 5-star experience for me. Great cocktails, a relaxed atmosphere, and, most importantly, genuinely great people. Eduardo and the team made The Den feel less like another resort bar and more like a place you actually wanted to come back to. Strongly recommend stopping in during your stay.

Every staff member I have encountered has been kind, respectful, and welcoming, and I want to…read moreacknowledge that clearly. My disappointment is with the resort experience itself. The repeated requests for my room number, the policies and safety restrictions, and the way I was asked to leave my cabana made it difficult to relax and enjoy my stay. The food has been particularly disappointing. Mercado, room service, and the poolside food fell well below my expectations. The coffee has been good, and the French restaurant was fine, but the overall dining quality has been poor. My spa experience was wonderful. I enjoy spending time and money at a spa and am comfortable being offered additional treatments and upgrades. However, a separate $15 charge for oil felt petty and out of place. Two of my favorite restaurants are at the Hyatt in Tampa, and I have stayed at three Hyatt properties in Hawaii. Those experiences gave me confidence in choosing Hyatt for my first all-inclusive vacation. Unfortunately, the quality here has not met those expectations. I am sharing this as feedback, not opening a discussion or requesting compensation. These concerns reflect the resort's overall approach, and I do not believe they can be resolved during my stay. Again, the people have been delightful. The resort, however, feels focused on volume and standardization at the expense of quality and thoughtful hospitality. It is not the right fit for me, and I am leaving disappointed.
