In the moment I didn't realize what a heartwarming decision I was soon to make. So thankful I said why not and bought the bag of little buddies. If eating Jack Link's Cold Crafted were a novel, each bite is its own poetry and prose to the tastebuds. Thank you, Link Snacks for still producing such a hit and bringing me back to a fine memory of childhood. When you're on a keto diet, meats and proteins are key. Beef jerky is generally a great bet because it's low carb. Jack's Links get the job done but it's not perfect. At 6 grams of carbs per one ounce serving, it's definitely not great. Highly chewy, satisfying, easy to an ounce but much more than that, my jaw is going to start getting sore from the workout. Ingredients: Beef (duh), water, sugar (uh oh), brown sugar (ugh), contains 2% or less of salt, beef stock, flavors, soy sauce (wheat, soybeans, salt), hydrolyzed corn protein, yeast extract, maltodextrin, citric acid, pineapple powder. If you haven't tried these links then You Don't Know Jack. I used to really like Jerky and I'm embarrassed to say that. Then I tried the one in the West Side Market of Cleveland and nothing else could ever do for me again. Since then I've realized what I'm actually eating, so I pretty much stopped eating it as of several years ago. This was a brand that I did like at one time, but it's a lot more expensive these days and it isn't even remotely as good as some of the specialty shops such as the aforementioned one in Cleveland. Never again! Customer Service refused to help with my order. No changes or cancellations. They baited me with an email ad. Buyer beware!!

My teenage sons always love this stuff. So for vacation this year I ordered 4 bags via Cabela's. They were delivered & I checked to make sure it was all there. 3 weeks later we head to the beach for vacation. One of my boys asked what the white stuff is on the jerky. I look in horror. IT IS MOLD !!!! Sickened & sad I had them toss the opened bags but saved one sealed bag to present to Jack Link's. Well, after contacting them online twice with no reply. Here it is. I've enclosed photos and you can see the bag is still sealed. We will not be using their products ever again especially since we can't get a simple reply or explanation of what would cause this. Approximately a year left on the best by date. This is just not acceptable in and instance. UPDATE: While I won't change my rating due to the spoiled product. I will say that this company stood behind there product & issued a FULL refund. Figured I need to add the good with the bad to be fair. read more

Just purchased a bag of Jack's Link's Jerky today. My son tore the bag open in the car and immediately spit it out. It was covered in MOLD and rancid and smelled like a rotting dead body. After going to their facebook page and doing some research I found that this is NOT an isolated incident and has been happening for years with them doing nothing to address this poison they continue to sell. I've also found that the bag states "packaged in the USA".... They will not say where the beef if that's what it even is comes from just that it's USDA. Updated 1/26/16. I love beef jerky and all things related (ex: pepperoni sticks), and this has been the case ever since I was a kid. +Jack Link's is known for having quality products. Everything is carefully made, and it shows. +There's a wide range of products to choose from (ex: Beef Jerky; Tender Cuts; Jerky Chew; Lil' Chub Sausage). +/-Bank of America is partly to blame, but it was a real hassle ordering online one time. I placed 2 orders, and ended up being charged 3 times for each. As a result, I was charged $70 in overdraft fees. I had to clear things up with an Amazon representative and with 2 bank employees (the extra charges went away after a few days, but I don't know if the $70 would have really been credited to my account had I not made such a stink). On the plus side, there has been no drama with my other orders. I also received some extra items when my orders finally arrived (they were basically doubled). Unless incompetence was at work, this was probably the company's way of rewarding me for my patience and trouble. -The online store doesn't exist anymore. It's really lame. -The online store never had everything in stock. For some products (ex: Jack Link's Smokehouse Meat Snacks), it was better to go to Amazon directly (I would save a bit more that way too). -The main Jack Link's products sold at Target are only $4.99. At other stores, though (ex: Safeway; Rite Aid), the products typically cost $5.99 or $6.49. -The Tender Cuts bags are too damn small (2.85 oz.). I felt ripped off recently after placing 2 orders (in both cases, I received 8 bags for over $50). Original Beef Jerky: 7.75/10. Edible and somewhat good, but some of the pieces are chewy. The bags are small (3.25 oz.) and just barely worth $5. Teriyaki Beek Jerky: 8.5/10. I'm not normally a teriyaki fan, but the jerky is noticeably softer and more flavorful than the original. Prime Rib Tender Cuts: 8.5/10. The beef is slow cooked with Jack Link's signature marinade, and the pieces are very meaty and good. The bags are only 3 oz., though. Maple Brown Sugar Pork Tender Cuts (they're sold in packs of 4): 9.5/10. Excellent. The best of the Tender Cuts. The pieces remind me of honey baked ham, and are simply delectable. Sadly, this product doesn't seem to be available now. Chicken Fajita Tender Cuts: 8/10. Not bad, but not very memorable either. KC Masterpiece BBQ Tender Cuts: 5/10. Memorable in a bad way. The sauce ruins the "cuts." It was hard for me to finish a bag, and that's saying something. Original Beef Steak Nuggets: 9.5/10. Another excellent product. I down the nuggets the way some people pop pills. Sadly, you can only buy Tender Cuts now. 3.25 oz. bags used to be available. Teriyaki Beef Steak Nuggets: 8.5/10. My main father-in-law loved them, and I enjoyed buying him bags. Pepperoni Deli Cuts Sausage Bites: 8/10. Pretty tasty and easy to eat. Not great, but good. Pepperoni eXtra X-Stick (on Amazon, I found a box of 30 1.25-oz. sticks for $26.90): 8.5/10. Good, but greasy. They're better than the Original sticks, though (each of them contains some small pieces of fat). Super Size Pepperoni Beef Sticks (on Amazon, $24 for a box of 24 1.5-oz. sticks): 9/10. Great. Long, wide, meaty, and flavorful. Jerky Chew - Original Flavor: 6/10. A .32 oz. tin goes a long way. Still, blah. Original Lil' Chub Sausage (a canister of 24 1.625-oz. sausages costs $19.99): 8/10. Meaty and not too fatty. The sausages make a good snack, and are easier to eat than they look. They're not the greatest in terms of taste, but are good overall. Original Bulk Beef Sticks (on Amazon, $29.83 for 72 .92-oz. sticks): 8/10. Somewhat flavorful. Pretty good, but not the best beef sticks around. Avoid the Beef Steak products. The steak is chewy and has a strong taste. The Deli Cuts products are better, but not by much. This completes our Jack Link's tour (whew). At work this is my snack of choice. I think they also renewed my love of dried cured meaty products. The original and teriyaki are both pretty solid and most of the time it's a fairly tender tasty product. Bought a 10oz double pack of Jack Link's Beef Jerky thru Amazon, and found that one of them was covered in mold/bacteria. Didn't realize or even considered possibility of someone selling product that costs $24 and has some organizm growing on it. Called their customer service to let them know my wonderful experience, and it was nothing but the guy pointing the finger at Amazon, stating there is no way their product has such poor quality control. Two packs came together, both completely sealed, one okay, and one growing pathogen. How is this Amazon's fault? Total ass clown and have no idea about customer service. Espeically when they could have put me in the hospital for food poisioning. I will never eat another beef jerky again, especially Jack Link's. God only knows what or how they make these meats, and I got a glimse of the literal "shit" they are selling. read more

Wal-Mart sells 2 boxes for Approx. $13.00 Jack links sells the same for $33.99 W/Shipping almost 3 times the price . And the lack of customer service is ridiculous . I have found that many companies that began making their products in the USA will soon move the product making to China and begin packaging in the USA. This was what a company called Waggin Tails did with their Chiecken Jerky for dogs did back about 10 years ago. I noticed that their bags began having the marking Made In China and I quit using them for my dog imediately and switched to Jacks Turkey Jerky for her. Now I see that Jacks has gone to packaging in USA but does not say made in USA any longer. I have been buying 10 12 oz bags a month for my dogs treats but will not buy them any more. When I called Waggin Tails and asked them why they could not continue making their products in America I got teh very lame excuse that they could not find enough chicken in the United States.
