I tried to call the company that made it, to ask about warranty...but they were closed for the holiday, until Monday...can't wait that long in this weather! So....we went in to L&M, where we bought it 6 years ago. Bob and Laurie listened to our dilemma; turns out there were 3 days left on the warranty! Not only did Laurie send us home with a replacement water heater, she allowed us to keep the defective one until we could transfer the fluids! We are so very lucky to have this store, this staff, in this small town! They could have easily said, "sorry, we can't help you until Monday." #smalltownbighearts THANK YOU!! I had complaints about this place a few years ago when they were going through management problems…read more So I stopped going there. This year I thought I would give it another shot. I've gone three times in the past three months, and the first two times I was pleasantly surprised at the service. The young woman at the counter practically bent over backwards to help. Filled my drinks, made sure everything was put together well in a bag for me so basically all I have to do is pick it up and go. The food was fresh. And I left with a smile. But it takes one bad employee to turn that over again. The third time was me walking up to the counter saying "I have a mobile order", and giving my name... and she steps up to the cash register to say " what would you like"? I said, excuse me? I just told you I'm here for my mobile order. I had a salad, a cheeseburger, a soda, and a medium blizzard to pick up... and she asked if I wanted a bag. I said how else am I going to carry all of this? She put an empty cup on the counter for me... I've never had to fill my own drink at DQ so I had to ask where that is done. I found it before she answered me. Came back to the counter and had to weave my way through three other customers. She was leaning on the counter. I said "is the rest of my order ready?" She said what else did you have? OMG are you serious? Look at my receipt. "OH. OK well your blizzard is up there..." points to an unlidded drink way out of my reach all while she's just standing there, leaning on the counter. So I had to weave my way back through the other customers to go get a lid. Came back and my salad was under the heat lamp. I said can you please get my salad out from under the heat lamp? And get one of those large plastic bags, please. Now, where is my cheeseburger? (as I'm putting everything in the bag.) as I was leaving I asked are you new? "Yes". I said well you need to learn how to help your customers more. That's literally your job. Not mine. When I order a mobile order, it should be ready for me to pick up and go with it. DQ you had your chance. I will not be back.

Most used record stores these days just have piles of chum to slog through, but this store is a gleaming shining example for every other record store to follow. Todd is very picky about the collections he buys, so there really isn't a clunker in the whole bunch. I really appreciated that, because my time is valuable and who wants to look through a bunch of crap just to get to the good stuff? Well here it's all good stuff! Todd is also very knowledgeable about many genres of music, and he takes the time to source high quality records and look up what each one is worth and price everything accordingly. I loved the "Buy two get one free" sale, of course I am a bargain hunter so I left with nine records plus a bonus record. Super happy with my purchases, I examined each record before I bought it, but it turned out it was not necessary. Todd examines them and does not sell anything that isn't stellar quality. I highly recommend this store, both for buying and selling, as I was told he gives a very fair price when buying Collections, if they are sought after and of high quality. The shop also sells books and I think DVDs and some other things, but I only had time to look through the main section of records. There was also a section of new records, but I didn't look through that section. Todd was great to talk to as well, and pointed me to an AWESOME authentic place to eat just down the block, Main Street Tacos! I am telling all my record friends about this store, and intend to come back to Hayward just to patronize this place again. Rock on, record dude!
