Absolutley abhorent customer service. These ladies (specifically the woman in the black shirt the around 1pm on 9/10/25) was extremely rude to my husband on account of them messing up our order. We had asked for no ketchup and no tomato on our burger, as well as no taco sauce on the tacos. We get the food and there is ketchup on the burger. I have a tomato allergy. So we take it back and are met with immediate attitude from the woman in the black shirt. Instead of checking the receipt or asking us more about the order, she takes the box, throws it away visibly annoyed. My husband then receives the box for there to be tacos sauce on the tacos, so he turns back around and as he is turning to speak with her again, she is speaking with the girl operating the drive thru and rolls her eyes and says, "oh my god" in the most annoyed way possible. Sorry, but if you hate your job that much enough to make your customers this uncomfortable, find a new job. I don't know what is up with this location but if you go there after 7pm there's a good chance this place isn't open. Like 9 out of 10 times that place is shut. The hours posted say they're open, but lights are off and nobody is there. I live down the street for about 5 years now, and this has been going on for a long time. Someone else posted a similar review and they were going to look into it, but it's Monday at 730pm and they have been closed for a while so I don't think anything came of that. It's not like I caught them as they were closing or anything either, the place was dark, but the menu board was lit up so I thought it was open. A few weekends ago the doors were locked during lunchtime, and the drive thru was closed off so maybe they were closed for a repair or something, but this is typical for that place. Used to frequent this location back in the day when worked near the area. It is hard to get in and out of by the way it is set up. The parking lot is shared with several stores and when you leave, it is hard to see over the cars or trucks that are parked along the sidewalk. The dining area is clean though and the AC is always on full blast, which is a plus! Sometimes too cold, even considering that I'm usually wearing a full on business suit lol. Food is always prepared fresh and drinks always have life... carbonation if you don't catch my drift. The restrooms were always clean too. Sorry to say, my drive thru experience was not good. The person taking our order was clearly not in the mood to be at work. It felt like I was on an episode where bon qui qui was working the counter.. We were in line for at least 20 minutes. Make sure you drive ALL the way to the far back to access the drive thru. Personally I hate the parking lot in this plaza because its super cramped and always packed, but that's not JBox's fault. Just a warning to be careful in here. They have very nice bright, clear and visible menus which is great. The drive thru speaker is loud and clear, and the screen works properly by displaying your full ordered list. They have two drive thru windows, but only the second one is functional. Customer service is polite and efficient. I always get a sour dough jack, and unfortunately my patty here was VERY dry. I also tried the new Wakey Bakey Hash. The hashbrown at the bottom was slightly crispy but quickly got soggy from the extreme amount of egg and cheese on top. The egg was overcooked. The cheese was okay. Everything was really heavy. The entire point of a mobile order is to increase efficiency. Allowing people to mobile order on your app and then not being able to pick up the food at the store is not efficient for either the person ordering on the app or the store. I mobile ordered my lunchtime meal at this facility as I work nearby and was going to walk and pick it up. The app allowed me to request this order at the counter. Upon arrival at the restaurant it appears that the dining area had been closed and only the drive thru was open. After attempting to call the store several times and knocking loudly on both entrance doors that were locked, I went to the rear of the restaurant and rang the bell. I noted I was there to pick up a mobile order and was met with attitude from the employees. "You no have car?" questioned one staff member. Yes, I do have a car. No, I did not drive it across the street to pick up my food that is within walking distance of where I work. Needless to say I will not be making this mistake again. read more

This is the best Jack in the Box in all of San Diego County. The employees we have met are: courteous, friendly, helpful, considerate, clean, neat and professional. They have the best customer service anywhere! They are quick, efficient and never ignore anyone. Everything we order is awesome, always fresh and very tasty! When we order something special they accommodate us with the best attitude possible every time we go there. There are no other Jacks that will do that for us. We NEVER have to be concerned about getting sick like the other Jack's or any other place we have been to because their sanitation is excellent. We would recommend this Jack in the Box to any one. You'd think that since this Jack In the Box is one of the closest restaurants to their corporate headquarters, this place would be top-notch. I used to come here every now and then when I worked in the area, and had some good lunch experiences (both dine-in and take-out). Today, I hit it up for dinner, dine-in and got an old favorite, the chicken fajita pita. And the kiosk makes ordering easy! Strike 1: I ordered "for here", and they gave it to me "to go" (in a bag). Strike 2: The lady who gave my pita to me asked if I wanted the salsa cup that comes with it. I said yes. She wandered off.... and didn't come back right away. So the guy sees me waiting and asks what he can help me with. I asked for the salsa, and he reaches to the right and poof.. there's salsa for me, leaving me wondering what went wrong with the lady's attempt to give me salsa. Strike 3: My pita was poorly assembled. I opened up the foil packet, and had to put the lettuce back into the pita. You're out! (and apparently they also struck out with a previous customer, who had already picked up his sandwich, and then they called his number again, to try to give him his sandwich a second time - not having cleared the order after giving him his first sandwich.) So I guess I will start at the beginning from the time we placed our order i knew that things where going to end badly the employee couldn't get our order right even after repeating it like 5 times. Moving forward to the window as a different employee reads back the order its still wrong. He swipes the card then try not to give us our receipt. When we check he had charged us for something we didn't order then says if he would up grade one of our orders from medium to large so we agree they ask us to park in front and wait for our food. Thats when we noticed that we are missing a drink. Go inside to let them know employee apologized and got me the drink as he handed it to me I noticed right away the cap was broken and not on right. I ask if I could have another cap and he acts like he didn't even see the broken and not seated cap he apologized again then I go back to the car and wait for our food. Food comes out and we take a quick look everything seems fine so we leave. We get back to work take out all the food and find out that one of the combos we order a large but got medium and never got the upgrade that we agreed on and missing another fry all together. We call he apologized again and ask us to go back. Now time to the food its self I ordered some chicken strip at first bite no issue till I got to the middle and it was either not cooked all the way or they gave me cold strips either way I decide to try another one and same thing could even finish it ended up throwing them out and just having some chips for lunch after spending 40 bucks for all 4 of us seems like we got the short end of the stick will not be going back to say the least and I suggest people to try some of the other food places in the same shopping center. Okay we come here way too much. My husband and I went about five years with eating fast food maybe a couple times a year due to necessity while traveling. But I recently started slowly introducing gluten back and my diet and all of a sudden we keep finding ourselves at Jack in the box! This particular one is by Starbucks so we call them our "Bux and Box" runs and swing by for food and coffee during our quarantine lunch breaks. There is hardly ever more than one car at the drive through so we like that it's fast. I prefer their nuggets over McDonald's and they are cheaper. Also I never thought I would say this but we love their spring rolls!! They could never replace our family's lumpia recipe (very different!) but they are a good alternative. So far they haven't gotten our order wrong (after 30+ orders) and the staff is nice, unlike other locations. I'm not sure why they have poor ratings here as we have no complaints. I've been here multiple times for lunch, but today was the worst service ever!! (January 11, 2011) First things first, I ordered a jumbo jack combo and two tacos with a medium drink. Pretty simple order I think, but it took 20 minutes to get out. I can understand for the longer wait because of the lunch rush, but 20 minutes at a fast food place seems a little too long in my book. It wasn't like I ordered the entire right side of the menu!! Besides the wait, I ordered to dine in. The lady, who happened to be the manager, packed it all up to go. That would have been fine if my fries didn't fall all inside the bag. When I grabbed my order, I waited to get some ketchup and hot sauce all while the manager was looking towards the drive through window. She even had another customer in front of her ready to pay with her money out, but she just stood there looking towards the drive through window. That's a little ridiculous if you ask me. How did she become a manger pulling stuff like that? Another co-worker noticed that I was standing there and asked if he can help me out and grabbed my sauces. It was disappointing to see a manager be more concerned on other things when she was the only person running the front. If you ask me, the other guy should get promoted and she should be moved over to fries or something. The place is very clean and they even have a kiosk so you can order using that thing instead of getting the rude service from the manager. As far as the food goes, I've always like Jack in the Box. They have good tasting food for a really good price. It's not like your eating at a 5 star restaurant, but out off all the fast food chains, Jack in the Box ranks pretty high up there. I'm giving this place two stars because this is the only time that the service quality was lacking. All the other times have been great with fast and friendly service.
