My situation was a very common thing that small business owners deal with and don't know what to do. I had a previous accountant that was not assessing my taxes the right way and ended up really putting me in a rough situation with owing more than I thought because of all the late filing from those years,which included penalties and interest. The first thing that I did was hire a new accountant and then set up a meeting with Joe at Tax Relief. My first meeting I brought everything possible from the IRS,IDES and IDOR. I honestly did not know where to start and how I was going to be able to dig myself from this mess. My new accountant was great trying to help out in the situation but I really needed someone to be the voice of reason with all of the money that I owed from taxes not accessed right. Joe was awesome he took all my information found the point of contact for the IRS,IDES and IDOR and did all the work. He stayed in contact with me on a weekly basis told me what I needed to do, filed all of my paperwork that I needed to have for me. All I needed to do was make sure that I stuck with my appointments and paid my current taxes. I really have to say that Tax Relief did an amazing job and was the light at the end of the tunnel to something that I thought there was no hope and also I thought would take years to fix only took a few months. I highly recommend this business and not a telemarketing tax company. This is much more on a personal level and Tax Relief knows the right people to contact at the IRS,IDES and IDOR.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that they use a secure digital file system so that I could upload files ahead of time. Very helpful! On the day of my appointment, John was able to knock out my mom's taxes in an hour or less. Thankfully her taxes are pretty straightforward, but the federal and state returns were e-filed and everything processed in a couple weeks. That was great! They made a mistake on a certain senior citizen's tax returns, which was totally their fault. The IRS fined this senior citizen a considerable amount of money, because of an accountant's negligence and not checking his work. Even though it was the accountant's fault, they took no responsibility and made the senior citizen pay the fines, when really they should have paid the total amount from both tax forms. Shame on you. Do Not Go Here for your taxes, unless you want to pay more money than you are responsible for when filing taxes. Only open one day a week, and never answers the phone. Swindlers.
