We once again ordered a custom arrangement with a bit of a Hawaiian touch for a friend who was born and raised in Hawaii. Many of the flowers of Hawaii that could have been used were simply not available in Oregon during our timeframe. Another supply chain issue of covid. Happy with the results our friend had received last time, we knew Expressions in Bloom would do the best they could, with what they were able to get, as a fitting tropical tribute to our friend's service. They were quite clear as to what flowers would be available and we were happy they were still able to add a Hawaiian touch to our request. They basically had a week to work with as timing was important for our unexpected event. We received a pic of the arrangement and are happy with the final product. Pre-covid, current covid conditions, Expressions came through again. Expressions in Bloom will continue to be our "go to" florist in the Corvallis, Oregon area. Neither was able to get them to stay on and were not able to use them. The owner called and implied that they work very well and it was simple to tighten them and we should have figured out how to use them or called for guidance. They did not try them on until they received them minutes before we left for church. I have bought one every year for some 44 years now and this is the first experience like this as I did not like the quality nor the owner's implications and lack of concern. I was visiting Corvallis, so this is not a florist I would use nor recommend to anyone.

This is actually a review for Shonnard's Landscape Services not the retail shop…read more I am actually not a customer of Shonnard's Landscape Services, but I saw something the other day that made me want to send this review. These are professionals. I was driving along Crystal Lake Drive, and a crew from Shonnards was doing some maintenance. I observed their crew using a power blower to blow debris BACK INTO THE BEDS instead of blowing debris farther into the street like so many other landscape maintenance folks seem to do. Often the mow-blow-go guys just blow all the clippings into the street even though it violates city code and is just obnoxious. I'm going to refrain from naming names of other landscape service providers that do this, but maybe I'll write some reviews soon and call 'em out on it if they don't stop. I've even seen downtown businesses blowing leaves into the street. Shame on them. If I needed some landscape maintenance services, I would call up Shonnard's just for this one thing I observed because it shows they care. Thank you Shonnard's!
