I can't stand going to the dentist. I went to get my filling fixed as the old one fell out. Normally I have a horrible experience. I took a chance and went to this place and I had the best experience ever with the filling. I felt no pain on the filling or the drilling for the first time ever. This was my first time at Jace and it definitely exceeded my expectations. I had the same dentist for over 20 years until he retired a few years ago. I was actually a bit excited to have to find a new dentist since I thought his equipment was old and he wasn't all that gentle. I was impressed by the clean updated office. Their equipment was updated and most important, the staff was courteous and professional. Dr. Kwan had excellent bedside manner. He made sure to tell me to let him know when I was feeling discomfort. He was excellent in setting expectations. He made sure to let me know how much longer he'd be working on the tooth where the discomfort was. After my cleaning, Dr. Kwan spent a good amount of time with me explaining each of the issues going on with my teeth as well as the risk of it going untreated. I have to say, I don't think I've ever had any health care provider spend as much time explaining things and making sure I understood everything. This is all any of us really want from any health care provider. One of the other things that really stood out was how honest Dr. Kwan was about additional dental work was needed and what should take priority. He was very honest with me about my options to get the work done that was the easiest on my wallet, even if it wasn't the best solution for his practice. Before I came here, I tried another local dentist that had the nice technology, but they operated more like a used car salesman. They pushed unnecessary procedures and thier office staff constantly call, email, and text me to reschedule another appointment like a stage 5 clinger ex. I visited Jace Dental for the first time a few weeks ago and had a routine cleaning and x-rays taken. Dr. Kwan and his staff were great and the office has a relaxed feel. Everyone is welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. During the cleaning the hygienist was very detailed and through. Since my first visit I had been back for whitening and the filling of cavities. Dr. Kwan took the time to explain every procedure he was doing. Very pleased with the outcome and the quick duration it took him to perform the fillings. I did not experience any pain or discomfort, which is something I'm not used to when visiting a dentist.
