ArTES has the most incredible teaching and administrative staff ever! Each teacher takes an active roll in not only your child's education but also in their emotional well-being. Differences are embraced here, never shunned! The principal, Mr. Lawler is always approachable and always has time to give you. Teachers like Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Solomon, Mrs. Naturman, and Mrs. Jaeggi have been like second moms to my girl, and I can never thank them enough for all they have done for her! I would recommend CCLA-ArTES to anyone and everyone!

My child was being bullied and it was handled better than expected- with the school psychologist even making sure my child was ok. My guess is that either Martha's child was bullying someone or she just didn't get the outcome she wanted.

The school is only worried about compliance and test scores. Which is shocking since many students STILL cannot read. On numerous occasions I've heard staff yelling at students. They are unable to work with special needs kids and hardly anyone there is qualified to work with special needs even though they state otherwise. Simple research will show they are not being honest. They don't even have enough staff to operate their classrooms. They are extremely unorganized and the classrooms are a disaster. I was a very active parent who always volunteered, donated, and supported the teachers. I was treated like a burden as well as my child. This school will set your child behind. They are plenty of top rated schools that would be safer. Lastly they do not have the gates secured so multiple children have walked out. I've watched kids talk about going to the 7-11 and the staff watching the gate will let them go. I told the school since this is a massive safety issue and they did not care.

The business itself is a bit outdated, but in my opinion it's still a quaint building and if you actually explore it you may find some good study spots. Prior to Fertitta Hall opening this was where academic advising took place, as well as many office hours were/still held. I am glad for the change as the new business building is stellar! If you go to the second and third floor you'll find nice little study spots. The second floor has little comfy chairs that line the wall allowing for students to sit and study. Even better, go one floor up where it's almost all offices and there's an entire wall of booths! I didn't find this area until this semester, which makes me sad because it's such a little gem. It's quiet because it's all offices creating a really quiet but open environment for students to study. Bonus for outlets being below the booths as well. If you're looking for a quiet study spot that will almost always be empty Bridge Hall is a good place to look.

It may be a tough commute some days... it may be expensive, but I have attended public university and private... the public system seems to be stacked against success. You can't get the classes you need, in turn you have to take additional unnecessary courses to keep FT status. In short, a disastrous experience for a freshman and sophomore. I transferred to a private school and it was a 180' difference. Classes were scheduled in modules to make sure everyone is on track and not taking unnecessary "Filler"classes. Teachers arrived on time. Class was held the complete time allotted. Deans, admin and staff were always helpful. The students vary in caliber at any school. You wants snobs, you can find them easily. The students who are serious about their future are quickly spotted if you look for them. If you want to make money... you have to spend a little to make more. I can't comment on this school from the students point of view. But I can from a parents point of…read moreview. My son just graduated last week and after 4 years of my son going here, here's my thought. My wife and I really liked this school and my son also really liked it. It isn't a big school by any means and of course it has its problems, no school is going to be perfect. If you get bad students, it's going to drag the school down....and bad students start at home, ladies and gentlemen. So parent up and stop leaving it up to the school to raise your kid. Of course there were fights, but in the 4 years my son went there, he told me their were probably around 16 fights, that's 4 fights a year...not bad for a high school. I can't comment on discipline because my son never got into a fight or was the victim of any fight (Thank God). One of his friends did transfer to another school in 11th grade because he claims he was being bullied in the bathrooms. So my son had no idea it was happening. My son had some great teachers he's really going to miss and several that were just "whatever". My sons absolute favorite was Mrs. Schwab, such an amazing teacher who truly is a great man. Mr. Stewart, Mr. Kent, Mrs. Pollard and Mrs. Mencia were other ones he liked alot. I would say that 90% of my sons teachers were great and 10% were just "there". But none of his teachers were "bad". The horseshoe roundabout is a complete nightmare when picking up your child. Avoid it at all costs, you will thank me. Parents double park all over the place, they go out the entrance and enter thru the exit...they basically make it a horror show. I recommend picking up your child on Plummer or what i used to do....have your child walk down Zelzah to the CSUN parking lot and wait for them there. It was a life saver. They had a lot of events on Friday nights thoughtout the years like Fall Festival, Banda Night, Paint Night and so many others. So would I recommend this school? Absolutely. My son is really going to miss this school and I will also as a parent.

Sure it's a rough area outside the USC campus, but your home was built in 1999 and has its own café, courtyard, career center, computer lab and lawn. In my opinion, JKP is one of the best buildings on the USC campus. Your prospective home is touted by some to be the most technologically advanced business school buildings in the US, JKP sports state-of-the-art technology in eight case-study rooms and thirteen Experiential Learning classrooms ,ELC. Both the case study rooms and the ELC's have teleconferencing capabilities. The ELC's are also capable of transmitting lectures and presentations throughout the building. I believe each seat in all case study rooms are equipped with electrical and data connection outlets in addition to a slot to put your name tag. Also, electrical and data connection outlets are prominent throughout the building, courtyard and hallways. If you don't like being bound by cords, don't fret! JKP is completely wireless. The Marshall School of Business has its own career center in JKP and is supported by fiber optics. As a first year MBA student, I can already appreciate how great JKP is and hope that future students will experience the same.

On the plus side, the building does have it's own cafe which is a huge benefit for hungry night time students that only have a 20 minute break at night time to get dinner. Although I have never had the food, I hear it's just ok. The cafe does have microwaves and toaster ovens which are a major benefit. Another plus is that the building is conveniently located on the south east corner of the campus very close to the metro lines. This is a huge plus since you can get of the metro and literally get to a class inside Popovich hall within 5 minutes instead of having to walk an additional 10-15 minutes across campus. Lastly, it's very close the lab which as a business student becomes a 3rd home.
