They carry lots of false lashes and Dolly Wink products. Wish they had more test products available and signs with English translations. Not sure if there is always an English speaking sales girl on. I agree with Tiffany, the staff here are very nice to work with. Those girls at least speak English and Mandarin. They never pushed me to buy anything but would like to recommend based on their own experience and costumer feedbacks. They also gave me couple of dollars discount and many samples each time. The conversation and interaction with them are very pleasant even sometime I ended up buying nothing. I feel like they have the most comprehensive collections of DHC products in town so that you don't need to order online anymore. There are also good selections of Shiseido hair care products, and sekkisei series. So far I liked those products the staff suggested to me at this place. It's such a nice and convenient store to visit!

I was looking for a gift (but wasn't really sure what to buy), and when I spotted some very cute mugs in their window, I decided to check it out and give a try. This place sells all things tea-related, so much like the famous Ten Ren, but looks more like a mom and pop shop and not a chain. I was much happier giving my business to them. I looked around the store for a bit and they carry quite a selection for tea ware. So if you're looking for a tea sets, mugs, tea infusers, chopsticks, cute Asian figurines, then this is the place for you. And of course, they also sell quite a selection of teas. They have already packaged teas and loose tea for sale. They also carry Eastern herbs, so if you're looking for that, this place has it also. I walked to the back of the store and they also carry Eastern medical remedies and also dried snacks from Asia (tangerine peel, dried guava, dried mango, dried plum, dried ginger, etc), and all of it is self-service. I eventually settled on a cute mug from Japan for a friend. When I went to the register to pay for it, the lady told me she had a new one in a box for me. Sweet! Both ladies in the store were helpful (could have been mother and daughter) and not obtrusive while I browsed around (I have a phobia for sales people following you around closely). This is a good place to grab gifts and to buy some tea for yourself. I should be back soon when I need other gifts or more tea!

I got a voucher on the pulsd app for balayage at Sample Size Social, and I am BEYOND thrilled. Service: The stylist, Ivan, was incredible. He was friendly, super knowledgeable, and he's worked with A-list celebs so he knew exactly what I wanted. He took his time assessing my hair, and because it's naturally curly it's more vulnerable to breakage so he was delicate with the ends to make sure they were healthy. He also placed the foils in the right places to highlight my face more. The rest fo the staff were so nice and I felt comfortable the entire time. Atmosphere: It's such a cool space! It's trendy, super clean, and energetic. I had a great time chatting with Ivan and the rest of the staff and even shopped for some goodies after my hair was done. Results: I feel amazing - my hair looks exactly how I want it to look. It's brighter, and super natural looking like I spent a summer in the sun. Beyond obsessed with the results! I'm already getting so many compliments. Thank you!

But it's much much faster, and I needed to restock before a trip, which is why I stopped by. Came away with some fun samples, travel sized goodies, and lots of advice on using each product. A much more valuable and personal experience vs paying rush shipping from some random asian website or Sephora. It's a small store with some very nice brands generally aimed towards skincare. I was looking for a specific History of Whoo product and found exactly what I needed. Looking forward to stopping by again when I've got more time to explore. PS Pay cash if you can, thank me later!

The Beauty Shop carries only premium skincare kbeauty brands and a few popular sheet masks that are trending such as the SNP Animal Masks and Mediheal masks (these are worth getting for your trek into deep Chinatown). There are also a few select color cosmetic items from IPKN and Club Clio but this store specializes in the best of kbeauty skincare! They sell nicely boxed gift sets that include mini travel sizes of the the full sized bottles. Very good selection. Also BB cushions from O HUI is there and you can test your shade. The store came into business to first address the needs of Asian skincare of the Chinese community but as the popularity of "hanbang" (oriental herbs) is rising in the States, I felt like it's my duty to post this business on Yelp for those seeking its powerful magic to transform your skin and change the way you feel about your skin routine. TESTERS. The store has a carousel of testers where you can swatch test to see if you might have any negative reactions. I don't think they have any foil packets to just "give away" but maybe if you asked nicely in Mandarin? CUSTOMER SERVICE. The store is very very small and there is usually only one sales lady to help you. The person who helped me was Mandarin speaking and knew proficient English. She was able to understand when I asked "What line should I use for my skin?" but couldn't understand if I asked anything more specific. She wasn't pushy to make a sale in the beginning as she helped me with testers, answer questions and even let me take pictures of the entire store (!). However I guess I was wearing out my welcome as I looked closer to into more items and then I was getting, "You want to buy it?" type of questions. Sometimes I would see another person in the store chit-chatting with the sales person during slow times but they are attentive if you have questions. LOCATION. As I said, this is deep into Chinatown in the Fujianese community (don't let that intimidate you!). This is OFF the touristy trek of Mott, Canal and Bayard streets but it's really only a two/three-block walk to the precious! You walk by the Confucius statue and opening soon will be a Tous le Jours (a Korean bakery) to make the walk easier. The store is AROUND The corner of Division Street and literally next to the bigger The Yeon shop (also full of a variety of kbeauty items). So this is like a two-in-one stop shopping. You may as well go into The Yeon if you left The Beauty shop empty-handed! The owner also has another store location in Flushing, Queens if you're a queens local. DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST. It pays to do your research first with the cosmetics brand you're interested in. The store carries only 3 major premium Korean skincare lines, O HUI, ISA KNOX and THE HISTORY OF WHOO. Look at their official website to where you can also read the descriptions in English! Make sure you're getting the right line for your skin type and this also helps you price compare and see what fits in your budget as these are not "cheap". It's more valuable to get a line in a boxed set.
