We took our little 3 year old dog with us for a road trip from CA to UT. While we took her to Bryce…read moreCanyon, we were planning to hike the Narrows in Ziom the following day and she was not allowed to accompany us. There are very few Rovers in Kanab, Utah which is where we were staying. Our lodging, Best Friends Roadhouse, was very pet friendly and they told us we could leave Bailey in the room but I felt nervous about letting her stay there without supervision for so many hours. I was turned onto Auntie Pat's from another pet sitter who was unavailable. As soon as I called her she was friendly and willing to watch Bailey. She accepted electronic payment so it was very easy to work with her. She gave me an Arizona address so I got a little worried about how far it would be but it was only about 10 minutes away from Kanab, where we were staying. She was willing to accept Bailey early in the morning and then we gave her a call when we were heading back so she knew to expect us. Bailey was fed and treated well. Auntie Pat and her husband snuggled with her and said she behaved well. She even sent me a photo during the day to show me how well Bailey was doing. My one and only complaint is that Bailey smelled strongly of cigarettes when we picked her up. I was planning to give her a bath that day anyway so it was not a huge problem, but I was a little worried she may have been subjected to secondhand smoke. If you are in the national park area with your fur baby and need a place to leave them while you explore, I recommend Auntie Pat. She is great!

If I could give this place a zero I would. If you are a responsible pet parent RUN AWAY!!!! They LET him freak out all day. One phone call I would have picked him up. Dog didn't need to be put through that torture. When we picked up the dog they said our one dog could come back but not the anxious one. When we got both dogs hime home the anxious one smelled like marajuana especially around his mouth and beard. The smaller dog smelled like weed, but not like the anxious one.... Like someone was blowing smoke in his face. Who knows what other abusive shit they did to my dog. So yes, I think they got him high... fyi pot is toxic to dogs. And don't take your babies here they are not trainers and could and would not save your pet if they have an accident at their residence. Probably won't even call or text. Don't have your babies around than nonsense.

David and Kathy were great, they kept our dogs for 3 weeks and the results were amazing. Although we need more training then they do, David works patiently with us too. We went for our dogs graduation and learned how to continue their good behavior. Cathy had them groomed, bathed and looking good. I recommend them both highly. Thanks so much for everything David and Kathy Meri C.

Dave came over to meet our Alaskan Klee Kai 4 month old puppy for an initial consult and in house…read morepuppy training. The lessons he provided right off the bat were appreciated and implemented. Seeing how well she responded we wanted to immediately start her in his 3 week course as AKKs are known for darting and not listening. However, Dave said "Let your puppy be a puppy and contact us in a couple more months." I really appreciate him saying that. We continued training her at home while enjoying her puppy bonding time and 2 1/2 months later dropped her off. Three weeks without her was hard but we did it! When we picked her up we found the same happy pup but with added obedience. She even retained the training we taught her at home (we have a dog door bell system to signal outside for potty). Her auto-sit while walking and sit+stay / down+stay on leash are quite impressive and you can tell how proud she is when performing these commands as well as sitting at the door waiting to be invited in/out. In the back yard she's perfect with 'heel' but in the real world she's still a bit excited. That's expected with her breed and we will continue to train daily with the skills Dave taught us. Loyal K-9 is highly recommended for obedience training. While it was hard not to have her for three weeks it really has paid off. Thanks Dave and Cathy!
