About 2…read moreweeks ago, I was on the way back to Colorado from Tennessee in my 43ft coach and ended up with an engine issue west of Salina (exit 233). During this 20+ hour ordeal, there was really one person that stood out - Evan. When my Roadside Assistance group contacted him in the first 2 hours, he called and asked me a few questions about the coach and requested pictures of the front chassis. After looking over the pics, he realized that the coach would need a lowboy or landol to be able to get me back to Freightliner in Salina for service. Since he does not have that type of equipment, he spent time with me diagnosing the issue, which ended up being the serpentine belt. Then during the remaining 18 hours, he would check in via text/call to see how I was doing. This was over and above what most of the towing companies did - they either wouldn't come out or set a time to show up and then cancel. We were stranded in a pretty remote rural area of Kansas, hours from home and with no idea who to contact for help. I have roadside assistance on our vehicle policy through State Farm and used their app to report the problem, and identity our location. The app then used their network to arrange for a towing service to respond. We were conected with Lucas Towing Of Kansas, LLC, a Veteran-owned business out of Salina, Kansas. They responded very promptly and were great in arranging not only the tow, but also for a ride for my wife and I. They kept in communication every step of the way and through the State Farm app we could "see" on a map how they were progressing in getting to us. Lucas, the owner, was great in speaking with me and ensuring we would be taken care of and had what we needed. Mary, who communicated with me on "the office stuff" was so friendly and patient with my questions. Ed, the tow driver, was a great guy and so helpful when he arrived, loaded the Tahoe up, and then made to haul to Hutchison, Kansas to a Chevrolet service center. Thanks to Lucas, Mary, and Ed!
