I love reading here. I have a thing for libraries - yeah, I know it's a little weird. This one makes me giddy.

The modern design with all the glass and sky high ceilings is genuinely spectacular and makes the space feel open and energizing instead of quiet and stuffy. When I visited on a Saturday morning it was busy, which was actually really nice to see, with people reading, studying, and casually surfing the internet. It felt alive in the best way. I also enjoyed wandering through the different floors where there were interesting exhibits and old books on display that made browsing feel more like exploring. Add in the great views of the valley from the windows and it's easy to imagine spending a lot of time here if I lived nearby.

Free parking is located on the lower level, you can validate your ticket inside the library. Very clean bathrooms, customer service was awesome. This is probably one the best library that Ive visited. I normally visit a library when I'm in larger cities, its alot of fun. The library has different floors, beautiful art work, live working bee area, stores, food and a sunny rooftop! I visited during the summer months, so the views- mountains were unbelievable. I highly recommend a visit to all!

It's modern in that clean, beautiful way where you suddenly feel like a better person just by walking inside. I had time before the show started, so I wandered around pretending I had my life together, which honestly was very believable in that lighting. The staff was so sweet and genuinely helpful. Like not just "here's your answer" helpful, but "I love my job and also hope you have a great day" helpful. Rare and deeply appreciated. There are big windows everywhere, comfy seats, little pockets of calm where you can read, think, or journal about how magical the place is. I would come here even without a performance, just to sit and pretend I'm writing my novel or about to run into someone who's about to change my life. Also, yes, there's a rooftop patio, and yes, it's as dreamy as it sounds. If I lived closer, I'd be here all the time, probably with a lavender tea, trying not to romanticize everything but definitely failing.

No just stares me down between the bookshelf so rude so unprofessional and weird stalking me through bookshelves to get my child to be quiet. Not just that but it was very clear that as soon as my child calmed down, the worker left. It's stressful enough as a mom having your kid cry in public let alone someone staring you down while you're trying to calm your child is rude uncomfortable and NOT OKAY ! Never going back ever worse place on top of that smells like homeless piss and is so small

With my last vestiges of electricity I searched library in maps and made my way here. I walked in with headphones on, made my way through an air conditioned, peaceful oasis, that was clean, quiet, and open. No one talked to me or asked me for anything. I sat in a comfortable chair, charged my phone, watched a show on my laptop, sent some emails, and went on my way. Weird to feel totally at home surrounded by strangers in a place I've never been. We don't deserve libraries.

There is plenty of parking, which is nice seeing as this is Salt Lake City and I typically have to plan on walking 15 minutes no matter where I decide to go. The building itself is in great condition, large library with plenty of computers and places to sit. Nice and open, friendly employees, and a clean atmosphere. There is also a quaint cafe if your stomach starts growling (which is convenient because it's a library, so SHH), I have yet to try out their selections, but you know I will soon. It is also a recreation center, so grab a ball and shoot some hoops! The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of drinking fountains, basically I'm just saying I'd easily live here. TIPS & TRICKS: * It's in the perfect location, too. Right next to a bus stop (Bus 228). * Nestled off the busy roads of 3300 S and 2300 E, you're close to the 215 Belt Loop if you need to get somewhere else.
