Tarquini & Sons paved my driveway in October, 2016. It was part of a big project that involves a complete make-over of my entire front yard and part of the back yard. The general contractor Giverny Gardens installed cobblestone curbing, apron and inlay for the driveway, and brought in Tarquini & Sons to do the asphalt. One month after completion of the paving, the cobblestone curbing was unraveling: stones became loose, even came cleanly out of the concrete bed. Turned out this was because the asphalt level was too low. While Tarquini & Sons acknowledged this problem, they first tried to blame me, the home owner, to make them pave lower than needed (as if I would, or could, force such liability on them), and then refused to correct it (i.e. resurface the driveway) at this time. I met with Anthony Tarquini on site to discuss this matter, and reached a compromise that we would wait to see if stones would become loose again, and if they did, Tarquini & Sons would fix the stones and resurface the driveway at that time. We shook on it. However, merely a few hours later Tarquini went back on his words. I will spare the details (available at BBB website), but just say that this company has no honor. read more
