There once was a guy named Tom (I won't say which company he works for) who used to come service…read moreour yard for what I THOUGHT was a reasonable price. But when attempts to get him to do follow-up services became more and more difficult, I knew it was time to seek greener pastures (no pun intended). So, what do you do when your former lawn care guy develops a case of CRS and forgets to respond to that text you sent him two weeks ago? Why, you hire the folks at Guzman Lawn & Landscape, of course! Naturally, I found this local landscape company via Yelp. And, I mean...not only did these guys clear my yard of the 3 to 5 foot tall weeds that were multiplying faster than a viral meme on the Internet; they did so for nearly $80 cheaper than my former lawn care dude! I was seriously impressed! Here's another thing. Rather than waste my time spraying some mystery chemical on the weeds and dragging out the extraction process by waiting another two weeks for the chemicals to kill the plants so they could THEN cut my grass (like the previous guy did), these guys get right to it and eliminate the weeds the day they get there. Granted it took him about 5 hours because those weeds were almost as tall as my 5'7" son...it was worth the wait. And payment was easy and secure. They'll issue a digital invoice upon request. The only reason I don't give them a perfect score is because getting a quote from the owner took longer than it should have. Apparently, he doesn't take phone calls and only communicates via text--which is fine for an introvert like me. But the communication process in the beginning felt like I was texting someone who spoke a totally different language. In the end though, we got it all sorted out. They even offered to do a 3 week follow-up treatment for a lower price. I may follow that up whenever the weeds first start rearing their ugly heads out the sand again. For now...I'm giving Guzman Lawn & Landscape 4 sprouting weeds awaiting imminent death by weed-wacker out of 5.

I thought it was torn landscaping paper and took a good look before I went to pick it up. It was something tiny and moving! It was trying to burrow into the crevice of the gate. I immediately called ProTech and they arrived within 20 minutes- it was 6:30 PM on a Saturday night! They removed the creature and told me that it was a Brown Mexican Bat and that it was rabid as determined by its actions. Yes, this pest control visit was costly but if my little dog, Luciano, went out there and decided to play with it, or if it bit me (I am always in flip flops and open toe shoes right now) it would have been a night mare. Thank you ProTech!

I explained to him what I wanted and even pointed out my neighbors yard and told him I wanted it exactly like theirs. He promised he would get it done and we wouldn't be disappointed. We were and still are highly disappointed. The cement that he poured was uneven and literally crumbled and cracked the day after he took off the moldings, the turf was bumpy, uneven, and had no defined border making it look extremely messy (he had told me he was going to put a border but he "forgot") and the rocks were just average. He took our money and did not come through with what he said he would do. I also want to point out that the business is not registered in the city of El Paso nor does the owner have a general contracting license. Do not hire him.

I recently contacted this company for an estimate. After the owner came out to my property, he gave…read moreme a quote on which I agreed on. (But before I proceed, I know the owner will bad mouth me, because I would not pay him in advance, and that is fine since I have him and his wife/helper on video. He was verbally abusive to my mother). A disposal fee was included in the quote which I was aware of and agreed to. The problem we encountered was his persistence on paying him before hand. He was asking for the money, days in advance. I'm not one to pay for a job that hasn't been started, never the less not completed. He initially quoted me a time of arrival, which he didn't commit to. I have made a visit to my local police department, presented the video of him being verbally abusive and filed a report. I have also submitted surveillance video evidence to my local news media to prevent it from happening to someone else. Verbal abuse: the act of forcefully criticizing, insulting or denouncing another person. He did just that. Verbal abuse is not the same as misinformation. As stated above, he will try and defame me, it's okay. I have my lawyer in place to press charges for slander, intimidation, and harassment (all provided with video evidence- surveillance and personally captured).
