Pros: - decent produce department, even if part of it creeps into Dairy - new freezers! This was the biggest area of contention for me originally. Now you can actually SEE what's behind the doors! - nice meat and seafood case Cons: - pre-sliced meats in the deli. Why do the grocery stores around here do that? - no organic milk displayed with the conventional milk. You have to walk into the worst area of the store (you know, that little half-aisle where 2 aisles converge) to get any organic products. - congestion at the front of the store. If there are more than 2 customers in line, forget about being able to get around to continue your shopping. - front doors are too small. Either dedicate one as IN and the other OUT, or widen the doors. I always feel like I'm pushing past someone, or they, me. - the prices are not great. Add in the fact that the local paper gets jack for coupons, and I'm not saving nearly as much money as I'd like. Let me say that I love Grand Forks. But, as someone who has lived in big cities and small towns around the country, Grand Forks has very poor choices for buying groceries. It's possible to have a pleasant, peaceful time grocery shopping. Probably not here, but this seems to be the best there is at the moment, so I'll go with it. I can't comment on the location in EGF, as I've never been, but whatever you do, stay out of the other Hugo's in GF...yikes!

Thre was nothing posted for the grocery and bakery hours, but the optical and other ancillary areas showed that they were closed until noon. Since the grocery dept wasn't shown as closed I drove to town, only to find that the entire store is closed until noon on Sunday. Folks, you need to update your store's hours on the website to accurately reflect the hours of ALL departments!!! Right now you're not very visitor friendly.

There's a selection of anything you might need. I don't know how my life would be without Walmart bc everywhere I live, I can't survive without Walmart. My go to place for ice cream, snacks, chocolate, car stuff, clothes, electronics, and even plant based lotions. Very nice return and exchange policy. Thank you Walmart. America and Walmart is the best for shopping in general. But this Walmart in Grand Forks is not so nice. The customer service is not nice. Seems they don't want to work. The manager is not nice. Doesn't really do anything to fix customer service issues. Doesn't feel like there's much care for customers. Just protect the staff. There is a time and place for that but not when there are customers who need help. Disappointed.
