They have a large selection of wine which I was a bit surprised at, including a small selection that is Minnesota made which I often look for. They have whiskey, vodka, and other hard liquors easily sectioned and labeled as such. Plenty of space to walk and browse around. Prices are reasonable but may be a few dollars higher for some brands than larger liquor stores, nothing outrageous that I could see. On my last visit I picked up a bottle of a Minnesota wine for the New Year. I was waiting on a short amount of time in line as they were running two registers. A polite woman helped me pay for the wine and while it was processing, we chatted about a town in Minnesota and our recent visits there. She was very nice, polite, and professional. Made great conversation while she rang up my item and the payment was processing. I could tell it was a busy day but from her demeanor it didn't seem to bother her a bit or change her attitude towards customers. Overall there's a great selection, polite employees, and reasonable prices.

This store is dirty and you get that dingy feeling when you walk in there but hey what do you expect, you're walking into a liquor store so I don't really mind it... The selection is moderate but kind of limited on beer. That's another thing I love about the 42nd store, they have a beer selection so I don't have to go all the way to happy harrys anymore.
