I can't tell you how amazing this place is and how great tasting their kettle potato chips are…read more They are I'm sorry to say, better than Cape Cod, and Mrs. Vicki's ketchup kettle cooked potato chips from Canada, which have been my two favorites. The potato seems like the Yukon go potato where it's really shiny and crispy and has a distinct, amazing flavor. In addition, their chips are not salty at all yet just enough to enjoy a potato chip at 135mg of sodium. The texture is not soft and crumbly, but crispy and stays intact even after you chew it a few times. That is what I love about this chip. The flavor is top-notch quality as I assume the potato is a top-notch potato. In addition, they have an honesty policy, where it feels like I'm back in a little house on the Prairie with Laura Ingalls. I wish every town had this kind of store because it's a beautiful thing to be able to trust people. That is Rare these days. Also, I want to mention one case has 54 bags of chips that are 1 ounce each and it's $15 per case. I bought three cases and I wish I could buy much more but my car is too small. Whenever I'm in town I will be buying these chips. Thank you so much Northland for becoming my favorite potato chip in the world. And for awesome Customer Service.

Pros: - decent produce department, even if part of it creeps into Dairy - new freezers! This was the biggest area of contention for me originally. Now you can actually SEE what's behind the doors! - nice meat and seafood case Cons: - pre-sliced meats in the deli. Why do the grocery stores around here do that? - no organic milk displayed with the conventional milk. You have to walk into the worst area of the store (you know, that little half-aisle where 2 aisles converge) to get any organic products. - congestion at the front of the store. If there are more than 2 customers in line, forget about being able to get around to continue your shopping. - front doors are too small. Either dedicate one as IN and the other OUT, or widen the doors. I always feel like I'm pushing past someone, or they, me. - the prices are not great. Add in the fact that the local paper gets jack for coupons, and I'm not saving nearly as much money as I'd like. Let me say that I love Grand Forks. But, as someone who has lived in big cities and small towns around the country, Grand Forks has very poor choices for buying groceries. It's possible to have a pleasant, peaceful time grocery shopping. Probably not here, but this seems to be the best there is at the moment, so I'll go with it. I can't comment on the location in EGF, as I've never been, but whatever you do, stay out of the other Hugo's in GF...yikes!

The amount of unprofessionalism and rudeness is astonishing. There is one female who I believe is some sort of lead or supervisor that is by far the worst one. After multiple encounters we have decide to take our business elsewhere.
