I had an incredible experience with the Office Depot in Orland Park. It is rare to see regional leadership so hands-on and dedicated to customer satisfaction. Huge thanks to the Orland Park team and their regional manager, Shaun for making this happen--they have earned a customer for life

#35/2024 This is not the office Max's of what they used to…read morebe This is more along the lines of a combining Staples and FedEx copy center together While they do still have a lot of the stuff they once carried a lot of the changes over here as far as home office kind of things. Service can be sketchy here at this Orland Park location it's a small location. I was asking about a particular style of a hanging file folder and I was met with blank stairs when they walked over to the folder section said nope we don't have them. (Insert big eye roll) So I proceed to walk a few miles over to where I saw the date planners everything else and voila look what was there the hanging file folders lol. It's okay in a pinch they stay open this one only till about 7:00 p.m. no longer 8:00 or 9:00. I don't really honestly know how much longer this location will be open it was like a ghost town when I came in. Pretty much anymore unless you want super geeky kind of office stuff you can find what you need at a cheaper price at Walmart or Target. Got to be honest and practical. but I'm leaving this at 3 stars because it does offer pretty much what they say as far as office and supplies etc but nothing stood out and well for the most part I guess you can say nothing really stood back so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt it really would be two and a half Stars

Is it just me or are office supply stores becoming less and less of a thing? I mean makes sense…read moreright... more people are working remotely, standing up instead of sitting at desks, typing things out instead of writing them down. Is it possible less supplies are needed these days? For me, I still enjoy cute notepads, desk calendars, and more, and I'll always need a spot to purchase ink for my printer. My last trip to this Office Depot was in search of a desk for my husband who also works at home. He travels a couple days a week and doesn't often sit still when he's working, but we needed a place in our house where he could keep his computer, work, bag, etc. because I was sick of everything always spread out on our dining room table! That being said, I wanted something stylish that matched the decor of our bedroom, but was also reasonably priced. Insert Office Depot. At first glance walking into this place, it was kind of a dump. It felt empty to me. I don't know if it was a lack of merchandise, background music, employees, or just the way it was set up, but I found it a bit odd. In the back they have a selection of desks and chairs. The chair options were nice, but I didn't see many great desks other than the one I bought which is working out great! It's like a grey color with a nice leather top. Super stylish and on the manlier side. It was just over $100 too! Assembly seemed pretty easy, although I do feel like it took my husband like 4 hours to do. He loves his desk though and it looks great! On the receipt of our purchase we were given like 10 or 20% off our next purchase of $50 or more, so I'll be coming back to find a chair for my desk. My one piece of advice to the store would be to make sure your employees are well trained. The gentleman who tried to help us seemed to have no idea as to what the assembly options were and how much that cost.

The staff is of very little help and they treat you in my opinion, rather rudely. It's a shame because I like supporting a small box companies like this but these people don't deserve my business.

This is probably one of the first times I've ever visited an Office Max. I came in because I needed…read moretwo poster boards laminated and I thought this would be WAY easier (and better) than trying to do it myself at home. I walked up to the counter and the girl was helping another customer try and find something on the computer. She didn't even look up or acknowledge me until several minutes later. When she finally did, all she said was "hi." Then a few minutes after that, seeing I had two large poster boards, she said "you just need those laminated?" When I said "yes," she went to turn on the laminator and said "it will be a few minutes for it to warm up." Awesome. To save time she could have figured out what I was there for in the beginning and already had it warming up by the time she was finished helping the last customer. Talk about terrible customer service. I was in the store for 25 minutes when it could have easily taken 10 with good service and time management. Oh and there was also a customer after me who asked about faxing. She laughed at him and pointed to the fax machine that was a few feet from him. Nice.
