I always prefer small businesses to corporations, and today I remembered why. Don't be fooled by a coupon. This isn't a review for that other place, so I won't get into how awful it was. I'm just so shocked by the difference. Lesson learned: just pay for the service you want. Alesia was kind, quick, gentle, and thorough. The pain was barely noticeable. I have no shame or modesty, but even if you do she won't make you feel weird! Haha. I wish I could just make an appointment for you, that's how pumped I am by this wax. Also as a side note... I hate going places that make me feel weird about wearing a mask or asking to wash my hands. I'm higher risk, and it makes me nervous to try new places. Alesia offered me hand sanitizer when I came in, sanitized everything, had touchless hand washing areas, wore a mask, and opened the sliding door with her elbow. I appreciated that! The girls at the front desk are always friendly and attentive ... and even if they do try to sell me on the monthly wax packages, they do it in a way that says they care about me saving money on services. Lauren has been my go-to technician since I started coming here ... and she's easily the best waxer I've ever had. She's fast and thorough, and makes you feel comfortable during the less enjoyable parts of a wax. I would definitely recommend booking with Lauren. That said, my most recent visit was with a different technician because Lauren was on vacation. I do wish the front desk had called me to let me know, because it was a complete surprise to me when I showed up for my appointment ... and it's kind of a process to prepare yourself when you're getting a wax from someone new.
