They do not serve food of any type here, but outside food is certainly welcome. We brought dips and charcuterie items. We all tried an extremely affordable tasting of three wines, and we each ended up buying some wines. There is plenty of room inside, a shady patio with several tables outside, and nice outdoor furniture positioned around the lake. All the wines are fantastic, but my wife and I found the Magpie (white) and the Sunset Red especially enjoyable and brought some home! It's worth the trip! I canot think of a beter way to unwind than Old Mill Vineyard!

To start off, I opted for the the 3 tastings for $5.00 - I chose #1: Albert 703 #2: Cynthiana #3: Broken Barrel As I progressed from 1-3, the more I enjoyed the flavor (that's just me). I really enjoyed the bourbon barrel flavor and aroma - a very nice dry wine. I had a great conversation with the owner, Donna, who stated they had been in commercial operations for 10 years and having this physical site open for 8 years. She was a wealth of information and extremely nice and cool person to talk with - she knows he wines! After discovering the Broken Barrel was my favorite, I decided to purchase a bottle and enjoy the pastoral setting of the outdoor seating overlooking their lake. What a nice way to enjoy a beautiful fall afternoon! I highly recommend you check this place out!

Bust'd Brewing busted me out of winter boredom with some beer and board games…read more Ever since I heard about Bust'd Brewing open up in Peoria Heights, I knew I'd end up there eventually and the time finally came. Emily and I both agreed that going out for a drink sounded good and I asked if she wanted to check out Bust'd and she said yup. We rolled up on a Friday night around 6pm and the place wasn't too busy. There was a couple couples in there so we grabbed a beer and took a seat and started playing some games. A coworker told me about Shut the Box and funny enough, it was on the table and we played quite a few rounds as we worked on our first beer. Emily's first beer was the That One Coach and my first one was the Cattails. I usually really enjoy hefeweizens but this one felt a bit flat. It lacked the banana and vanilla punch I am used to them having. It was good, don't get me wrong but didn't hit quite like hefeweizens usually hit. Emily said she really enjoyed her beer. I tried it but brown ales are not my cup of... beer. Once we switched to playing Anarchy Pancakes, we grabbed another beer. This time Emily got the Trailblazer and I got the Hazy not Hazy. I jokingly said the Hazy should be called Hazy not Crazy and the bartender (who I think might be one of the owners?) laughed and said she liked that. I told her she could use it for a future beer, free of charge. As we grabbed our beers, a family came in and took over the other half the big table we were at, so we hopped onto a 4-top to enjoy our new beer and new game. I really liked the Hazy not Hazy. Emily liked hers and we both wished that we would've gotten our 2nd choice for both our beers. The interior of the brewery is really nice. A lot of wood throughout and the place was brightly lit. This brewery is located in an old Subway building so if it looks like every other Subway out there, that is why. On the backside of the building is where The Other Dawg was located years ago. It is a bit small inside so if they are busy or are hosting an event, it could get crowded quick in there. They have a giant Connect Four and a plentiful board game collection to enjoy while you are there. I absolutely love that these social establishments are providing fun stuff to do and providing a place for people to gather and socialize. As we were paying our tab, I picked up a t-shirt and some stickers. The shirt was $25 (I think) and the stickers were $1 each. Emily grabbed a beer opener for $5. In hindsight, I wish I would've gotten a beer opener, too. Not just to support a local business but they were pretty good quality, too. If you need a social spot to grab some beer and space to play some board games, Bust'd Brewing should make your list. They also have a ton of events to attend if that's more your thing. Cheers!

The liquor store is very upkept and there are not trashy people that hang around outside like in other liquor stores around the area. The farm is how this place gets its name, and there's a few interesting artifacts, such as equipment lying around and hanging up on the walls. As expected they only have a few beers. It's about $7 a pint. Best one we had was the Broken Spoke, which is an American pale ale. It's about $5 for pretzels. Cool thing is these are made with actual spent grains. The seating is limited but they have a patio with a few tables. For sure it's a place we would come to again. It's got pretty limited hours only being open Fridays to Sundays.
