So awful! I bought some Revolution Pils here - upon opening the box, the canned date was over a year ago! Each can has foamed out when opened and the flavor is really off. Check the expiration dates when purchasing! Two stars for the selection - but do better! read more

It has an expansive selection of all kinds of alcohol from domestic to foreign. They have a good selection of cigars.

Today I was given the task of picking up a $40 bottle of Malbec for my fathers birthday and the first place I thought to go was Friar Tuck because it has never disappointed me in the past and because I couldn't remember where any other liquor stores were. Being that it is the day before Thanksgiving, the store was very busy but when I was able to finally get someones attention to help me I received excellent service. The staff member informed me that they didn't carry any Malbec that was quite that expensive but showed me around the Malbec section and told me which was his favorite and also helped me pick out a second bottle. He also took the time to explain to me the differences in flavors of several types of red wine and seemed very knowledgeable on the subject (which is good because I am not). The store really does have a great selection of beer, wine and spirits and I can't say enough about the employees excellent customer service. read more

Had to kill some time in Peoria just after Christmas and wanted to see what beers I could find that are available in IL, but not distributed in WI. Friar Tuck's didn't disappoint when I walked out with the Schafly Tasmanian IPA among others. The beer aisle is a haven of delicious specialty brews. Having stopped elsewhere in the city, I can say this is the place to go. They have it separated by state or region of brew. Lots of single bottles available to make your own sixer. Tons of bombers. Also a great section of specialty sodas. I don't know what else is available in the city, but I thought it was awesome they had a half aisle of homebrew supplies - I'd never seen that in a liquor store before, but it makes sense and thought it was a smart move. I didn't wander the wine and liquor selection, but place is big and I can't imagine they don't have much of what you're looking for. There's a big area up front with gifts and accessories. read more

Friar Tuck Beverage - Lolz - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Peoria, Illinois

If you like wine, sign up for their wine of the month club and you will get a coupon for a great price on a bottle of wine each month. You can go in and sample the wine of the month Saturdays from 1-4 (or is it 5?), along with some other wines, beers or spirits. They have one of the better selections of wine, beer and liquor in town, but their prices sometimes seem a little higher than some other places. read more

If you can imagine an alcohol, they have it at Friar Tuck...well, maybe not everything, but they've got the best selection of anywhere in the area. *Beer - As far as beer goes, they have all the major American brewers, but their specialty is in craft beer; which is what I get. They carry a lot of American microbreweries, and also a lot from overseas. The only place I've seen Delirium in Peoria. *Wine - Excellent wine selection, from really affordable to really luxurious (my way of saying cheap and expensive) and everything in between. *Liqueurs and Hard Stuff - They've got everything you could think of. Definitely sign up for the mailing list. read more

Friar Tuck Beverage - rows of beer bottles on shelves - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Peoria, Illinois

Lots of craft beers and a vast selection of liquior too. The employees are very helpful AND if they don't know, they aren't afraid to get someone who knows. Great place. read more

The store is clean and the inventory is vast. The customer service needs improvement. My 76 year old mother in law went to pick up the family favorite wine for the holidays. She bought every bottle on the shelf, spending a large amount. When checking out, the young lady behind the counter just pointed and said the boxes are over there. The cashier never even made eye contact. Again she is 76 and uses a cane. She had to pack her own boxes, which were heavy. Its a shame that manners and kindness are not a priority for this establishment. read more

Amazing selection of drinks for any occasion. The place is very clean and the staff is super helpful and friendly. They also carry a lot of local beer as well which is super cool! If you're looking for variety and something new to try, check this place out! read more

They have a great selection and the manager is super accommodating. Amazing customer service by all. We love coming here whenever we need anything from beer to scotch or just tonic water. read more

Always worth a visit when I'm in town. Their prices are reasonable and they have a really good selection of regular sodas as well as cider, beers, liquor, wines, and mixers! They also have a case of cheese that's local. Check out their mix and match sodas as well as their mix and match beer/cider. Always a great way to find a new favorite! read more

Amazing selection, free weekly wine and/or beer tasting, what more could you ask for? The professional staff members are very knowledgeable, less so with the younger help, but that is to be expected. They have email and snail mail clubs so you can get discounts on the wine of the month and be notified of upcoming tastings and sales. read more

Can't necessarily give this place 5 stars off 1 visit yet. I needed to find a place to find some good scotch. I come from Los Angeles, so finding a place with good scotch was dime a dozen. I recently moved out here, oh boy, can't really find anything. Had to do some searching on google. This place reminded me of Bevmo. The only place that I could find online that carried Macallan 18. I'll update the review as I come back for more scotch. read more

I was reluctant to give Friar Tuck a plug on Yelp because it is the one and only place everyone talks about to get beer, wine, cheese, and there are other options in Peoria that no one checks out (try Super Liquors, or Pottstown...) but admitedly, Friar Tuck has it all under one roof, a great selection of MicroBrew (including mix and match six packs) and, what finally made me a believer, a great homebrew section. Friar Tuck makes Peoria a better town. read more

Stopped in to explore the beer selection while I was in town, and they had an impressive inventory. Managed to pick up some beers that are much harder to find back home in Madison, WI. I can't imagine there's a better liquor store in Peoria. read more

Best place to find belgian ales in Peoria. They have an excellent selection of beer. I usually end up spending more than I would like because of their vast variety. read more

Not a great selection of wine but probably good for Peoria. As always, very friendly and helpful! My go to store in Peoria. But, the search continues! read more

For off-beat selections, this is your place! If you are looking for the basics, price shop elsewhere. Huge aisle of craft beers and a ton in their coolers. Great selection for a pick-a-six too. Good wine choices but again basic = UFS, exotic= Friar Tuck. The customer service here is awesome too, they will search high and low for something if you ask. Definitely not a place where you have to be nervous to ask "Do you have this in the back?" read more

Literally the best liquor store in America. Every time we go to Peoria we stop here and load up. Do you want some Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream which you cannot find in any other liquor store in the Midwest because it is so fucking good and everyone buys it immediately? Friar Tuck will have a couple cases. Huge fan of another fantastic Buffalo Trace product, Col. E. H. Taylor bourbon yet unable to afford the normal $70-80 price tag? It's $39.99 at Friar Tuck. In the mood to try literally every type of hard root beer on the market right now? Friar Tuck has them all. This place is amazing. read more

I like Friar Tucks a lot and have been shopping there for many years. It has everything you want, beer, wine, alcohol, gifts, etc. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They had a decent selection of non-alcoholic beer which I appreciated. I will continue to go here when need to make a run in Peoria! read more

Friar Tuck's is by far my favorite liquor store in the Peoria area. I'm more into beer than wine and liquor, so I can't speak to that side of the house so much. The beer selection is amazing here. Prices are a little above average, but the selection makes up for it. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The store is nice, clean, and easy to find. They also have a large section of home brewing equipment. I make sure to visit every time I'm in the Peoria area. read more

Excellent selection and local variety of beverages for the Peoria area.

These guys always have a fully stocked HUGE selection. They also support home brew guys like me and you can buy bottles by the case which is great. The wine selection is very impressive and the staff are very educated on their products. read more

Friar Tuck is your best bet for a fantastic selection of beer, wine liquor etc. I live in Iowa and when I swing through Peoria, I always stop. Big store with tons of choices. You won't be disappointed. read more

Very large assortment of any Beer, Wine, or Liquor you can imagine. Prices are a little high for most items

Love coming here after a paycheck when I actually have some extra money to try different beers. They have the widest variety of alcohol that I know of in Peoria (more than UFS) and a huge selection of everything... including home brew kits and bar essentials. This place doesn't have that sketchy get-in get-out feeling of the liquor stores around Bradley... Its roomy, clean, and its great for just browsing. On a side note, they don't sell cigarettes. read more

As far as alcoholic beverages go, this is definitely the place to go to get hard to find items in Central Illinois. After trying A LOT of places looking for a certain dessert wine I liked when I went to Rome, I stopped here and found it. My dad found a great bartender's book here too that I am definitely stealing. The people seem pretty helpful as well. read more

The staf is grate. Big help to me looking to making wine. Thank you for all your help.

This place is truly amazing. I was in awe the first time I set foot in the door. This place is huge! I have drove past it for year and never noticed it because it's 'tucked" behind Subway and the Fish House off University and Glen. I just instantly fell in love. They have just about any kind of beer, wine, liqueur, and spirits you could ever want. There's also a good selection of cigars, bar supplies, gourmet chips, crackers, candies , cheeses and teas. They even have home brewing supplies!! I felt like a kid in a candy store. The prices were resonable too. If there's something they don't have then they can special order. The staff is always friendly and they actually know their stuff. I've been many many times since I discovered it. It's always been clean, well stocked and with the feel of a small town store. Believe me if you go as often I do it starts to feel like Cheers~ "where everybody knows your name." :-) read more
