As a…read moreresult of my visit to J.K Williams, I learned more about the history of Peoria and the distilling process. They do tours every hour on the hour from 12pm-4pm on the weekend. The facility is not huge, but there is still enough space to not feel crowded during the tour. Our tour guide did an excellent job at giving us useful information about the products that J.K Williams makes. We concluded the tour with a tasting of a few of the spirits and I enjoyed all of the samples. The bourbon was my favorite. This is a wonderful place to check out if you are visiting the Peoria area or live nearby.

The worker was friendly and nice, introducing me to the shop the moment I stepped in. You can try samples of all their oils and vinegar. Unique ones from truffle flavored, black garlic infused, to lemon and basil. It is a great place to buy gifts or add detail to your cooking. Goes great on salads when making homemade dressing.

And then the staff says "there's a corking fee" Really? On your own bottles of wine? Have some class and just up charge your already overpriced poor wine and skip the embarrassment of a corking fee on your own wine. We won't be back.
