The siding…read morewas good (it was painted in the factory and should last 20 years), but the original wood trim wasn't. Most of it had started to peel a few years after it was repainted. Now I needed a painter who could repaint and recaulk everything.... without accidentally changing the color of the siding. Enter VIP painting. They came in and pressure washed the house, and hand scraped and prepped everything. They were so detailed oriented that not only did they make sure I knew exactly what material they used (all very high quality) but checked in on color and gloss. In fact, they also repainted the doors, metal handrails on the front door and the restained and resealed the doorstep. The house looks great and is ready to weather the elements for several more years. I can't recommend VIP Painting enough and am already telling my co-workers to hire them.

They were over an hour late for the estimate visit. I understand things happen, but a courtesy call to say you are running late is more professional as I had to make special arrangements for this meeting. I often had to follow up after weeks or even months of non response. There were no responses in the fall until was too cold so I was assured I'd be first on their list in the spring. Come April, I again found myself having to reach out to them as to when they were going to do the job. They seemed to lack communication or urgency to perform my job. When I did get a response I was told that May was still too cold and that we should push to June. Here we are in July and after numerous emails, phone calls and texts I am going to move on. So now I've missed 2 seasons that I could have had my house painted by someone else.

I called Josh and talked to him about my house that is huge and old; as I told him, I needed to repair the windows before the paint job could be completed. Josh said that he knew a carpenter who could do the windows and would paint the house after the repairs were done. As it turned out, I needed to get 27 windows fixed. So I had a bargain, a good carpenter who was ready to go up three stories to get my windows on the top floor and a painter who was going to paint my three-decker. Eventually, J&J came after all the repairs were completed and painted my house in 10 days. They were extremely efficient, professional, and pleasant to deal with. They answered my concerns by scraping, sanding, and caulking all surfaces. They used primer and good paint. Some of my neighbors came over to Josh to ask him whether he could paint their houses too. There was no drama, no mess. They told me in advance to inform other residents not to use the common area for a day or two. I definitely hope to hire them for inside jobs and recommend them for outside painting.
