I recently had trouble with the electrical and took my 2018 to an Audi dealership. They fixed the electrical system, but not the underlying problem which was a leak in my spare tire compartment. After a heavy rain, I took it into Tom's to have a go at the problem and within 15 minutes, Fender (his actual name) had diagnosed the problem and placed a temporary fix. He then contacted Audi to effect a permanent fix to the problem. He also didn't charge me for the evaluation. Of course, I was very impressed. Needless to say, Tom's now has a lifelong customer!!

My son was living in Columbia last year while attending Mizzou and the catalytic converter was stolen off our CRV. We filed an insurance claim and chose the dealer to do the work to ensure it was done correctly. We got the car back pretty quickly and the initial interaction was positive. Our service advisor (Michelle) was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, about six months later the engine light came on. The car was back in St. Louis by then, so we took it to a local place and were told that the catalytic converter installed was not a genuine (OEM) Honda part and had failed, and they actually could not do the repairs because of that. We called Columbia Honda, explained the situation, and they told us to bring it back and they'd repair the car correctly. We did that and they had the car for about a week and a half. When we picked it up, Michelle told us that the genuine Honda part had been installed, welds had been fixed, and it the warranty was good for a year from that date (September 2025). Unfortunately, none of this was true and the catalytic converter failed again six months later. When we called and spoke to the service manager (Aaron), we were told they'd work with a local Honda dealer to get the repair done correctly this time. We took it to a local Honda dealership and were quoted $4400 for the repair. Our new service advisor called Columbia Honda and they will not work with the local dealer on the repair and we're told now that the warranty on their work is expired. We specifically chose Columbia Honda expecting quality workmanship and honesty, but feel like we didn't get either one.

The appointment was this morning and it all went well. The only thing that may cause me to not go there again is that they charge a $160 diagnostic fee that does not apply to fixing the car, just figuring out what might be wrong with it. I've been to places before where there is a charge that would then be applied to the repair, but here they clearly say it is a separate non-refundable fee that would not be applied to repair costs. If they guarantee it's accurate, then it might be money well spent. But if it's not and we end up searching for a cause with multiple fees... I'm really iffy on that. So far that hasn't been the case.

I replied, "No, the one you still have listed is not available. Why would I trust your dealership again?" (Paraphrasing) as the conversation ended he just hung up.
