Once upon a time, there lived an evil human being hitting cars in parking lots and celebrating the…read morefact that they had gotten away with it. They left without a note or a word and kept on living their shameful life in their own vicious, sinful ways. Lucky for this damsel in distress, a place called Shur-Way Auto Body exists to restore peace and goodness to the chaos this evil human being brought upon her world. So, in short... I had a hit and run. A car scratched my barely 6-month old 2019 Subaru Forester and I was devastated. I decided not to go through my insurance and the excellent reviews led me here. I walked in on a Monday (incident was on a Saturday night) around 9:30am but the guy who does their estimates was busy with another client. The lady at the front desk asked if I could come back in 30-45 minutes but as I was pressed for time and missed making an appointment, I asked her if there was an opening later that day at 3:30pm. She booked me and I came back later for my estimate. I was running a bit late due to traffic but they were very understanding (I called on my way). I got in around 3:37pm and Mike S walked out to my car to assess the damage. He gave me an estimate of $644.81 and said they needed 3 days to restore my damaged bumper as they would have to remove it, fix the damage, paint and make sure it's all the way dry. I told him I didn't have 3 days and he said they could do it in 2 but no less than that. I didn't even have to tell him the color, he knew from looking at my car that I have a pearl white paint on my Subaru. It's not a common white color which was my biggest concern but he assured me they can match it without a problem. The price sounded reasonable and I was set to get it fixed as the damage was slowly eating at my soul anyway so I made an appointment with them. They are pretty busy but I was able to book an appointment a week after my initial consultation. As I did not want to mess with insurance, I was able to decide right then and there that I wanted my car fixed by them. I did notice during our walk-through that the person who hit my car left a scuff on the passenger tail light as well. I pointed this out to Mike and he came out once more and confirmed then added a note to buff out the damage. He did not say it would cost me more but I had anticipated it would in the back of my mind. In the end, they didn't charge me for it and the scuff is gone! The day came for them to fix it. I dropped off my car at 8am without any issues and the next day, I got a call around 2:30pm that my car is ready. My bumper looks like no evil has befallen upon it and my spirits were lifted. During my check out, the lady explained that they stand by their work and gave me my warranty paper, instructions on how to care for my car in the next 2 months, receipt, and a reminder sticker that in February, I should bring my car back for a wash and wax. After leaving the place, I noticed they even vacuumed my car! Such a lovely gesture!!! They charged me the exact initial estimate I had gotten which was what I was already expecting. So far, I am happy with the work that they did. My SUV looks good as new again and I no longer have to stare at that ugly reminder that humans are horrible. As far as the shop goes, it's well-kept with friendly staff and a wonderful dog! If you or anyone you know are ever in need of an auto repair service, I highly recommend you try this place out. They truly are fantastic!

I can't recommend this body shop enough. This is my second rave review of this Caliber on Big Bend…read morein 63021. This time it was for a nasty long scratch on the passenger side of my Lexus. I'm not sure when, but it was in a parking lot, I'm certain. The scratch and abrasion went along both doors and also left an abrasion on the front door handle. I love my beautiful old Lexus and was not going to leave her in that condition! My insurance covered it (after deductible) and there was no way anyone else was going to take care of her but Caliber. As before, everyone there was courteous, helpful, responsive, very professional and obviously very skilled. Appointments are kept and communication is top notch. Ian kept me well informed as they worked and also took care of a small matter related to their previous repair (their work is guaranteed for life!) They really know what they are doing - all of them. I dropped my car with them on Monday and they estimated a week to do the repairs. It was done by Friday - two days early. You could never tell that anything bad had happened to her! The repair is absolutely perfect. And, as with the last time, my car was not only ready, but detailed inside and out! That is such a really lovely touch. My girl is herself again and I'm very grateful to the Caliber team.

I went to Caliber Collision after an accident because they were on my insurance company's list of…read moreapproved repair shops. Unfortunately, they significantly overpromised and underdelivered. I was initially told my van would take 2-3 weeks to repair and cost around $6,000. Instead, the process took nearly three months and ended up costing closer to $8,000. Communication was extremely poor. Each time I called, I was told someone would call me back, but it often took several days to actually speak with anyone. I was also repeatedly told they would arrange a rental car for me, but that never happened. Shortly after getting my van back, a "Maintenance Required" light appeared. I took it to the dealership, where I was told, "It looks like you let a 16-year-old repair your car." The wiring had been patched together with electrical tape. I ultimately had to pay an additional $800 for the dealership to repair the issue properly. Save yourself the time and frustration -- find a different repair shop.

Worst experience of my life…read more My car was sent here to get fixed after an accident that was solely cosmetic fixes. After repeatedly lying about when the car would be finished, he finally said it was done after 2 months. When I got there the car was not finished, in fact it had additional damages such as horn not working and airbag light on. My airbag did not go off during the accident, so that should not have been a problem. In addition, the windshield was still cracked, and there were still other cosmetic damages present from the crash. I took my car to a different auto shop to have the damages fixed and they informed me that the additional problems such as the horn and airbag light problem were due to a break in and theft attempt that must have occurred at the previous shop or the towing yard. So, either West End Auto Body are either too inexperienced/incompetent to recognize those signs or they failed to report it if it happened at their location. Because of this, I had to file a whole new claim on my insurance and pay even more money for their incompetence. The new auto shop also showed me that West End used used parts for the "fixes." They put a used door on the car that had red paint showing through from the previous car, a used tire that had a faulty tire pressure gauge, and more. My new shop wanted an itemized list of fixes from West End, but they could not produce one and said they work off of "insurance estimates." They have some type of insurance fraud scheme here it seems. In addition, my car started making weird whirring noises when I left their shop. DO NOT GO HERE NO MATTER WHAT. I feel violated and completely taken advantage of.
