I gave 5 stars based on the last 15 years of quality work received. The old owner sponsored me in sports when I was younger so my loyalty has always been to this store even though they have hire prices then local competitors. But last year I canceled an order due to rude customer service from Lou Olivas and haven't been back since. The old owner and the new owner are always nice and do a good job which is why I stuck with the 5 stars. The other lady (Joy) who used to work at the front counter was always a doll. I do volunteer work with a local non profit and we always need Engraving work done. Since they hired Lou Olivas, I had contact with him three times and it was never pleasant. He cant type and even had a typo on one of the invoices. He had attitude and made excuses when I asked him to fix just the invoice. He cant multi task and always had a line of people. He would talk about how great he used to be and lived in Hawaii.....then why are you working at a trophy shop? He must be family and that's the only way he can keep this job. I wouldn't hire him to be my point of contact if I had a business. read more

My daughter had won a couple of perpetual trophies which had been put on display on a shelf in our home. Last week I was referred to J & M by a jeweler after I requested having a seashell engraved. Although no one was really sure whether the shell would be strong enough, they were willing to try as long as I wasn't too attached to the shell. At that time, they didn't really know the significance of the shell, and I was just hopeful it would work. Today I picked up the shell and it brought me to tears to see the names beautifully engraved within. It is a scallop shell that I will carry with me on my 580 mile walk on the Camino de Santiago in Spain. After I told Steve the significance of the shell, he gave me the shell asking for no payment. Just got all the trophies, awards and pins for a soccer tournament and they turned out great. They worked with me so that I could order as late as possible (as our numbers kept changing). There was a delay on one item - but they did everything in their power to track the shipment, keep me informed and even drove the materials to me (and had offered to help with the sorting and packaging). I had arranged for someone else to engrave a brass plate for me, but it wasn't done by the day before I needed it! Panic! So I called J & M Trophies. They were very helpful on the phone & I sent the specifics to them by email. Not only did they have it done by the NEXT morning, they also did an amazing job on designing & engraving the plate! I was so relieved - and I only made one trip down there - to pick it up! Friendly & great customer service too! BAD SERVICE!!! NEW OWNER! OVERPRICED! RIP-OFF! I received a free engraving card from the 66ers, when I went in to use it the 69 year old man Keith took it and asked what I wanted. I clearly stated I wanted to use the free engraving. Keith then pulled out a template and showed me that is the size and font I would get. When I picked up the item they wanted to charge me $25. I spoke to the owner Stephen and discussed my issue. He "discounted" the work to $10. I paid it just so I can get out of their. They lost a long time faithful customer! -Robert read more

This place is SOOO nice. Don't listen to other reviews. I have been getting wedding, engagement and birthday presents engraved here for awhile. They know me by first name which I thought was very nice. Two champagne flutes engraved with full names and Mr. & Mrs. came out to $8! How is that overpriced? Other engraving places charge $4 per letter! The people here are amazing and like a mom and pop type of atmosphere. I didn't get paid to write this and I do not work for J&M. I walked in needing a unique wedding gift and ended up ordering a wooden wine gift box with engraving. Needless to say the box turned out amazing and the bride and groom loved it!
