I took in my wife's lower on May 8th to have all the proper Engravings to keep the lower California legal. This was supposed to be a 1 to 2 business day turn around. I reached out to them after not receiving a call and was told that they were a little backed up and needed more time. After About a week and a half I had to reach out to them again to ask what was going on and it was finally revealed to me the engraver had misspelled my wife's name. To fix everything they were going to have to completely strip my lower get it down to the metal, fill in the mistake and re-engrave it, cerakote it then put the lower back together with all the pieces I sent it in with. The lower had a Punisher logo on it and they offered to engrave it deeper. I just picked up my wife's lower today and it is June 8th exactly one month. The the engraving is okay but you can tell a mistake was made. Unfortunately the Punisher logo was made bigger than the original and you can see the outline of the original Punisher logo underneath the new one and to top it all off the caliber was supposed to be engraved as 5.56 mm but instead they engrave it as 5.58 mm. I agreed to pick the lower up in pieces and not assembled as I sent it in because I just wanted the lower back. The girl who helped me this morning came out of the back room said to me, oh you know it's in pieces right. Handed me the box, watched me as I checked everything and then just smiled and said okay bye So here's the bottom line, if you're looking for a place that has attention to detail, and great customer service this is not the place for you. While this company did fix everything and did not charge me it still doesn't negate the fact that their customer service is extremely poor and their attention to detail is weak.The lower my wife took her time to build is not the lower I was given back. Being a small business owner myself something like this would never slide. If you care about your firearms and take the time to meticulously put them together find a place that will value your weapon the same way you do. read more

Wow! Came in to get my lower engraved to beat the deadline in 2 days. They said 1-3 days due to the backup but finished in less than 2 hours. The lady in the office was very friendly and nice. Will bring in other guns to get some logos added. Hope they stay in business read more

Started with a message i left through yelp asking for a quote 15 minutes later i receive a response from Heidi, $40 for a serial engraving on my 80% P320 FCU. Upon pick up the serial was engraved perfectly through the window of the grip module and she was kind enough to put it in a nice cigar box along with my receipt. I dropped off my.45 for engraving 3/22/2022 and paid in full for the engraving. I was not given a date that I could have it back, but I have been emailing them for a finish date. I get the answer that there is a lot ahead of me and I can not get a finish date. Today 6/3/2022 I see that there is a message telling everyone that they are closed and will reopen on September 1. Been engraving 2 80% lower receiver today for CA Compliant Serialization I was able to drop off and pick up same day few hours laters Ladys at the office were friendly they gave me choice of the size and depth of the text engraved Since I want to paint the lowers later I asked for a deep engraving the result came how I wanted perfect! Update :: I had taken my lower to get estimates at other places to see what the cost would be to properly repair the damage that was done. After having it assessed and priced, it would have cost me more to repair it properly over buying a new lower and getting it engraved correctly. I reached back out to American Engravers and after speaking to Heidi, she offered to try and fix it again or they would purchase a new lower and can engrave it for me with no cost. I decided to have my lower replaced with a new one. However will not be getting the engraving done here. Even though I was more than unhappy with the work that was done and the service, I appreciate that they came to resolve the issue. They are purchasing the same exact lower I have and mailing it to me with no cost. read more

The folks here at American Gun Engravers are fabulous. But they don't only engrave guns, I lost a Randall Knife and they they engraved the Randall Knife I purchased as a replacement. This brought back wonderful memories and history. The engraving from them was better than the original engraving from Randall. The Knife is truly a work of art.
