Bogarts Service - Goodyear Tires

Bogarts Service

Absolute Warning If you are looking for an Auto Repair place to be fair to you then you are…read moreprobably hoping that this establishment should always inform you (PRIOR) if additional repairs are needed on your vehicle, and should never conduct repairs without giving you an estimate and getting your approval. This is a Strike 3 place for me. Three different events from charging a towing fee of $80 (where the company said it would be $50) to go a distance of .6 of a mile (3200 feet) charged to and elderly Grandmother. Adding extra parts and services without authorization first to the same Grandmother. Lastly, Her vehicle kept dying in November and she was going through hospital issues to find heart and cancer issues asked if someone could take her car over to a repair shop to diagnose the problem at the beginning of the year (February). Bogarts stated it was a "bad battery" (frozen was said to be fair); (which oh by the way was brand new in October) so without authorization they indeed installed a new interstate battery without authorization. The Car had been on a trickle charge since January and did not freeze and in fact no fault was found with the original retail store. However, the store did in fact replace the battery with a brand new battery. So the Grandmother said just take out the Bogart battery and replace it with the exchanged battery from the retail store. So that was too easy and easy to return the new interstate battery to Bogarts. A few days goes by for an out of region payment to get completed by another family member because Grandma is 83 and has no spare income (she avoided the $270 payment with the interstate Battery and only had a $119 bill with the battery exchanged) So yesterday we try to pickup the vehicle to take to grandmas house and it doesn't start! (Remember that the bill is paid in full and verified that it was a balance of $0) I call today to talk with Bogarts about the vehicle not starting and I'm told that it's because of the new retail store battery is far superior to the interstate battery. What? Okay yes it's cheaper than interstate - however, a new battery that becomes dead in less than a week is not because the battery came from Walmart. It's most likely due to a poor diagnostic review of the vehicle that has a parasitic draw of the battery. These are the facts that I know to be true. I pray that each person treats each other fairly. There are other places close to Blackduck that will not install items and charge you without talking to you first. But Bogarts is NOT that place.

The guy that picked us up was friendly and towed our truck and gave us a ride to Bemidji. He dropped us off at the car rental location and brought our truck to the body shop. Excellent service! Highly recommend!
