I had a leak in the inlet water line to a water heater. I called Izzy Plumbing and they set an appointment for a couple hours later. Frank arrived thinking he was only going to replace a water line, but after he determined the tank was 11 years old, I decided to replace everything. Even though it was later in the day, he took the time necessary to make everything perfect. He also took the time to explain everything he did. Frank is a true master plumber. Thank you Frank, you saved the day. read more

I was in an emergency situation, and they assured me they were giving me an amazing deal. When I looked at the bill later, it wasn't itemized with parts and labor, so I emailed them. They responded by saying, "You signed the bill," and wouldn't provide any detail. I feel I was grossly overcharged. They did great work, but I'll never use them again. There are plenty of competent plumbers who don't price gouge. read more

Not sure what's happened with Izzy Plumbing, they were a top notch company back in the day. Now they won't even answer their phones. Need to provide a review about the low quality and excessive charges from Izzy Plumbing. We called them to have our shower and bathtub cartridges replaced. We were quoted $625 at first for the repairs, then the price was increased to $850. I was told I would receive a detailed estimate, but it's just a basic flat rate charge. Plumber broke the spout on the bathtub and said it was "brittle", they refused to repair the damage. Plumber only replaced one cartridge in the bathtub, and used the wrong part. I informed him it was the wrong part because it's spins backwards now, but he told me it was the only cartridge available at Ferguson's Supply. I went to Ferguson's Supply the same day to purchase a replacement spout for the one broken by the plumber. While there I asked about bathtub cartridges and they had the correct two cartridges in stock. After paying $850 to have my shower and bath repaired. On the plus side they stopped the leaks. However, I'm going to need to hire a different plumber now to have the broken spout replaced and have the correct bathtub cartridges installed. read more

We have been using Izzy's for over 20 years, ever since it was just Izzy. Always quick excellent service, and great people too.

Izzy Plumbing just left after fixing, what I considered to be, a difficult plumbing job on old pipes. Pipes from a 2nd floor bathtub were corroded through and leaking into the room below the leak. The ceiling was dripping! With a call at 9am, Jacob from Izzy Plumbing was scheduled to arrive at 12noon the same day. Help was on the way. Jacob arrived when scheduled, quickly saw the issue and had the pipes repaired and the leak fixed lickety-split. Jacob from Izzy's has done other work for us and always solves our plumbing problems. He's smart, experienced, and professional. read more

Izzy plumbing is responsive and professional Anthony kept me informed at all times and confirmed any work prior to doing it Highly recommend their services read more

Izzy has been our go to plumber for many years, but I am discouraged by how high their pricing is now. They were already at my house to fix a leak in the new disposal I had just purchased from them, so they weren't making a new service call, and yet I was charged an additional $300 for them to power snake my kitchen drain clean out. Their tech worked maybe 10 minutes on this clean out, said it was fixed and left. The sink was still stopped up! My husband ended up using our little manual snake, a ton of elbow grease & hot water and fixed the problem himself. Very disappointed. read more

I wish I had read the other bad reviews before using Izzy again. We had a tankless hot water heater that wouldn't stay hot.....the tech they sent said they charge 550.00 to flush it. I balked at that and he immediately reduced it to 450.00. Then he charged 600 to fix the problem in the heater. It was not fixed. Came back, charged another 1200.00 after speaking with Rinnai and told us he guaranteed it would fix the problem. It did not. We asked for a new technician...he came and said he needed to replace all the cartridges in the house and did that....still did not fix the problem. Very long story short....they would not refund any of the money we already spent (around 1800.00) and quoted another 1600.00 to replace yet another part or 4700.00 to replace water heater. We decided it was time for another plumber....found another plumber who replaced the water heater for 3050.00. Needless to say Izzy is a disreputable company who overcharges, never reaches out to you and basically can't perform what is needed. No one ever reached out to us from management.....they refused to refund any of the money we wasted, and couldn't explain why they price gauge their customers. I have since received a quote of 150.00 to flush the water heater that they charged us 450.00 for. The overall time we wasted was 3 months. Stay clear of them at all costs!! read more

This is the first time I have written a negative review. But , the service was so bad I have to post. They came out 3 times , told us the issue was fixed, it wasn't. They also left 2 faucets running in parts of our hime that we didn't discover until the next day. When we told them of the issues and our disappointment their reply was " good luck with that". Such a rude , disappointing reply. We won't use them again! read more

If I could give a 10 Star review I would. Fernando and Jose were absolutely amazing. Professional, went above and beyond and all While being happy and helpful. The initial phone call to the office was also great and they got us scheduled, seen and resolved same day. They will be our new Go-To for any plumbing needs. read more

Just finished with Izzy Plumbing appointment and I MUST say...these guys are the ULTIMATE Plumbing Professionals! I have used other plumbing services(even written a Yelp Review) in the past, and have come to the conclusion, after recently using Izzy more than once, that IZZY PLUMBING is the BEST of all the rest. From the time of my original request for service, to receiving a response in less than 1 day, and the Service Call being scheduled first thing the next morning...I couldn't have expected more. Adrian Martinez and Frankie were on time, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They took a look at all our home plumbing issues and quickly diagnosed the problems. Going ABOVE AND BEYOND in CUSTOMER SERVICE, Adrian got on the phone and contacted the manufacturer of our plumbing fixtures, to complain about manufacturers defects in the products (which Izzy Plumbing had no hand in either the purchase or installation of). The Manufacturer responded by offering to send new fixture "heads" directly to our home at no cost! WOW! Thank-you ADRIAN M. and Frankie! After discussing with me how I wanted to move forward with resolving our plumbing repairs, and devising a firm plan to do so, Adrian wished me "a good day" and was off to help other customers potentially "in need" of excellent plumbing repair. In previous repair services, I can attest to Izzy Plumbing being MORE THAN FAIR in their plumbing service PRICING. Yes...the VALUE factor here will "SCREAM" at you when you review the bill. This visit...which turned out to be more or less a "consultation", NO CHARGE! That's right SPORT FANS...NO CHARGE! In this day and age...literally unheard of! This kind of "customer first service" reminds me of a time that seems, oh so long ago, when the Service Professional actually CARED about "building" an exemplary "company to customer RELATIONSHIP", rather than haranguing the customer for every dollar they can get!!! Just a REFRESHING thought, leaving me at the door...with a smile on my face. Huge KUDOS to IZZY(Owner), Adrian(Plumber)and Frankie(Plumber) who in this Yelper's humble opinion truly EARNED, today and for previous OUTSTANDING SERVICE, Izzy Plumbing's "highly recommend" 5 Star review! read more

My go to plumber, usually pretty fast getting an appointment. I've used them 4 times now. First the fridge water dispenser, the leaky pipe behind the fridge, 2 sink installs, and just last week for a hot water balance that wouldn't close. Great service and price every time. read more

I have used Izzy Plumbing for clearing drains over the last year. For the most part, their service was good, but overpriced in my opinion. Nonetheless, I continued to use the company.... NOT ANYMORE! I called for a shower stoppage, made an appointment with Izzy for 3:30 to 5:30, as my tenant works. Showed up early (which in most cases is good) but tenant was not home. He was allowed into the unit by a neighbor with tenants permission, and proceed to unclog the bath tub, which did not have an issue. It was the shower stall that was clogged. At no time did the plumber contact me. He left and shower was still clogged. I got an invoice from Izzy for $225. I called Izzy and told him that shower is still clogged and tub was fine to begin with. Izzy told me that I need a new p-trap for the shower. My question was, why didn't the plumber call, and why are you charging for snaking the tub when the tub was fine. I told him i would pay for a trip charge, but he would be losing a customer if he was looking the full amout. His response, we went out, we can't work for free, and you got your tub draining... Very arrogant, very dismissive towards me. I told him that he just lost a customer, and paid his ridiculous charge, because it was pointless to argue. Called a contractor friend who ran the snake with a smaller bit and unclogged the shower...... P-TRAP IS FINE IZZY!!!! read more

Do not use this company. This are dishonest and will rip you off. They won't quote charges until after they arrive at your house and will charge a service fee if you don't like the quote. Prices with be out of scale and exorbitant. Avoid at all costs. Expect charges in thousands of dollars when it should be hundreds. Bad business that no one should ever use. See Better Business Bureau reviews. It is all bad. read more

Izzy Plumbing - Speedy service! - Plumbing Near Me - San Luis Obispo, California

Many houses on my street have old clay laterals to the sewer which clog up with root build up over time. I've lived in my house for 8 years and the pipe normally needs to be snaked and cleared 1 (maybe 2) times per year. Depending on who is available at the time, I've worked with a few different plumbers over the years to do this. Each time, the plumber would carefully snake the pipe and spend time to ensure that they couldn't feel the resistance from the roots. For most plumbers that was around 35-45 minutes. The pipe would empty properly and I wouldn't have this problem again for the better part of a year. Not with Izzy's. My most recent plumber was busy when I needed someone so I gave them a try. That was a mistake. The plumber was friendly, but he was at my house for only around 15 minutes. He used a battery-powered, backpack-sized snake. which was different from any past plumber who would bring larger units that needed an electrical outlet (more recently I've now spoken with other plumbers who have said they would NOT use that backpack-sized unit for clearing out a main lateral). I was surprised at how quickly he was done since most other plumbers on past occasions had worked on the issue for longer. I paid the minimum fee (over $220) and thought my problem was over. Unfortunately, that clearance of the pipe was the absolutely minimal work needed to get it to drain and I was back to having a clogged pipe in less than 1 month. I've never had that problem (nor as far as I can tell most of my neighbors) in 8 years. That was very frustrating and a disappointment. I left a message for the company on a Saturday, told I'd get a call back and that never happened. So, on the next Monday I called and left another message. This time I was called by the owner, who then explained how the problem is really the pipe and that I should replace the lateral and was completely unwilling to consider the possibility that his plumber did a sloppy, non-thorough job. Instead, he classified the work as "efficient" since his plumber was done in only 15 min. Unwilling to take any responsibility for the quality of the work, he instead just wanted to pitch selling more services, so I could have a long term solution to the problem (at the cost of thousands of dollars). That may be the case, but I'll be sure to use someone else. Someone who is thorough and takes responsibility for the quality of their work instead of blaming the customer. read more

Beware of this company and their false advertisement/pricing. After being qouted a price, we had these guys out for a sewer lateral survey/report for a property inspection. After completing the video work they refused to write up a report & qoute unless we paid them extra. I brough up the fact that we had already agreed on a price and they wouldnt budge. Apparently they knew that we were on a time crunch and had no other options. Thier website even claims "free estimates" what a scam. read more

I called for a quote and sent pictures to replace shower fixtures. He told me it was pretty complicated because it was the original fixtures and would require extensive work to replace. His quote was $995 so I trusted him and booked an appointment. An hour and a half later, it was fixed with an hourly rate of $633+ per hour for just labor. I called to inquire and was told it was a fixed rate and not hourly as they often don't know how long these jobs will take. It was highway robbery and I will not be using them again! read more

We've worked with Izzy extensively for five years now, on more projects than I can count. Izzy always responds back immediately, his team is qualified and thorough; Izzy is a Plumbing Savant, the plumber's plumber that troubleshoots an issue that others get stumped on. Our relationship started off professional, but now I consider Izzy a friend. Our families even had dinner together in Montana when we were both on vacation. The other day, I was at a party raving about our plumber, and one of my friends gave me a strange look. What can I say? Izzy Plumbing is that awesome. read more

Adrian was soon on his way and within a couple hours we had a new water heater installed for a very reasonable price and were back in the hot water business! Thanks, Adrian!! read more

Great service, fast response time and courteous staff. I can fully recommend Izzy Plumbing. After trying to get what seemed like every plumber in Paso Robles to come out over a holiday weekend on a last minute job to install a dishwasher and change a kitchen faucet, Izzy called me right back and had a guy come over in a few hours. He apologized for being late even though he wasn't, did the installation in record time, adjusted the positioning of the dishwasher to sit deeper in the cabinet than its supposed to because otherwise it would block a drawer in my oddly built kitchen. Overall, couldn't have had a better experience and if you are in need of a plumber, call Izzy now. read more

The only reason I'm giving even 1 star is that our plumbing issue was fixed. However the service was horrendous. The plumber and company was rude immature and unprofessional. While fixing the pipe all the stuff fell out. Instead of asking me to remove my pehe left them under the sink and let all the junk fall all over it. When I peeked in I saw that everything was covered. Instead of telling me that he let this happen he hid it. I confronted him about the issue. He got fired up and immaturely said you won't let me talk so I'm not talking. I told him I would be calling his boss and he said go ahead the number is on the truck. When I called his boss he said " well, yeah but your stuff was in containers right?" I cannot express how disgusting it is that they expect people to use products that they wipe sewage from. Update: After the incident the owner Izzy reached out to discuss what had happened. I appreciated that an apology was made from him as well as an effort to fix the wrong doing. This act spoke volumes for the company and it's commitment to customer satisfaction. Overall this was the 1 company out of the 3 we dealt that was able to properly assess and fix the plumbing issue efficiently. read more
