Never ever considered stopping for food here because getting through the city on 74 is tough enough as time seems to stand still here because no one, and I mean no one is moving quickly here. As the current situation is Shelby is now the half way point from my our home to where my daughter and grandson moved 1 1/2 hours away. Tuesday night we made the trek to pick up the grand for a sleep over, meeting half way at The Creekside Clock for dinner. In the entry way there is a sign stating that food is made to order so please be patient. OK. We got plenty of patience. Walk up to the counter and place your order, HUH??? Can I take a look at a menu? Sure, put on your glasses and read from the menu board. Sorry! I wasn't prepared for that. Menu looks great. There is a lot of variety and daily specials. We placed 3 separate orders, probably the first mistake as we were all sitting together, just not paying together. I am not a fan of paying before you get your food. Tip? What am I tipping? We sit with our little numbers on sticks at our table and a waitress comes to review our tickets and bring our drinks. So far so good. Ok now we wait. I can see the kitchen window and there are 6 heads in view and they appear to be super busy prepping and getting out the food. Apparently that wasn't the case. First order arrives, baked potato and chicken sandwich looks yum! A side salad was also delivered. A good bit later my meatloaf and fiancé's combination seafood plate and the grands shrimp. All looks good, alas, there is nothing on my plate that is even warm. I Asked if they had a microwave they could reheat my plate, it was that cold. Found out also that the chick sandwich and potato that was delivered first was not warm either. Still waiting on a steak and steak tips at this point everyone else was pretty much done with their food. The steak was good, again the potato cold. I am really shocked by all of the good Google reviews for this place. Although the menu looks nice. For them to boast that food is made to order, and not even serve the food warm along with the horrible execution, this was a one and done for us!

The space has been completely redone and the custom bar is honestly worth seeing on its own. Real creek rocks, a blue streak built into the surface, lights underneath. A lot of thought went into it. We started with the tiger chicken nachos and those things are as good as everyone says. I went with the smash burger for my main, nice crust on the patty, good toppings, nothing falling apart. My wife got the salmon and she was really happy with it too. The menu is set up so you can pop in for a casual weeknight meal or do something a little nicer on the weekend, which I appreciate. Someone from the ownership side stopped by our table to check in, which felt genuine, not just going through the motions. Live music was playing when we got there and it was loud enough to enjoy but you could still have a conversation. Prices are fair. We'll be back sooner rather than later.

They seated us right away and got our drinks (water) and I ordered the Fried Chicken Wrap with Tiger sauce and onion rings and my husband ordered two orders of six piece wings, one buffalo and one golden nugget. The service was not great. We were there before the lunch rush but we didn't get our food for almost an hour and the waitress never came back until she brought the food. She said they had to remake my order twice, but she never said anything. The food was really good but I only ate a few bites and had to leave. I only have an hour for lunch so I had to take it to go.... If you have time to wait this is a good place to eat.

Though I've eaten from Taste-T on multiple occasions, I recently stopped by on a Friday to grab myself and my sister a bite to eat. We both ordered chicken tender baskets with fries. My sister had her tenders dipped in buffalo sauce with a side of ranch. I personally believe Taste-T has the best homemade honey mustard sauce, so I stuck with the plain tenders to go with the sauce. I have tried the fish sandwich and Hot Dogs from Taste-T over the years. I've had the fish sandwich most recently and will honestly recommend it. You cannot go bad with it. Unfortunately, I don't eat beef or pork anymore so I'm not sure how their hotdogs taste these days. But they were good back in the day. It's a rural area bbq spot, 2 entrees ~$30 before tip which was a bit expensive imo for what you get The chicken nachos were a 1 star imo Pulled pork plate 2 stars The pork wasnt dry but it did have a ton of fatty pieces & it didn't have much flavor but the texture was mostly ok. The green beans taste like canned nothing beans overcooked The hush puppies were actually decent so those you should get if you come here The nachos are thick and the pulled chicken is like if I bought a Costco rotisserie chicken and ripped off all the chicken by hand leaving cartilage and inedible pieces intact. I even found a little bone in "pulled chicken" which is really chunks of rotisserie chicken. The cheese sauce may have curdled a bit or not been blended well A few canned jalapenos and a big blob of sour cream tossed on top The sauces made the food edible but they were very thin and just tasted like vinegar/sugar/ketchup. Or same but mustard for the yellow one The parking is on the street and there's a small lot nearby that says public parking and then you basically have the choice of this or the similar quality Mexican across the street. There's a couple of other shops on this road too Also it's counter service and you clean up after yourself so I guess you're supposed to tip for them to bring your food out of the kitchen?
