We thoroughly enjoyed our meal: lentil soup, the kibbeh and mezze sampler, and Israeli salad with beef kabob. The soup was delicious with a huge serving! Their hummus is always my favorite, so smooth and creamy. Portions were super generous, and we even had some to take home. I made a mental note of the large round table for our next group date night! I've been going to Izgara's Plantation for years, so I was thrilled to see them open in Weston and it was just as amazing! We were a party of four, including my 84-year-old mom, and our server Miguel was so kind and attentive, making sure she was comfortable and had exactly what she wanted. The food was outstanding. The lentil soup was one of the best I've had in a long time, the hummus portions were huge (one is plenty to share!), and the falafel was incredibly flavorful. We got lucky when I googled 'restaurants near me' and Izgara popped up. Walking in my first thought was 'this is fancy'. The decor with green chairs, gold chargers & cutlery and wicker light fixtures was all very stunning. We were there for lunch and they were not too busy, service was pleasant and attentive. We each ordered a platter, the falafel, grilled steak and chicken tai. Each came with a very generous, serving of hummus, warm pita bread, cucumber & tomato salad and a side. The steak was served with peppers and the chicken had a touch of spice. The hummus is the creamiest I've ever had. The sweet potato fries were not crispy at all. Prices were higher than I expected for lunch, $82 pre-tip for 3 meals and 3 sodas, but we all brought food home for a second meal. Sodas are served per can and there are no free refills. Izgara is located in a plaza and there is plenty of parking. I recommend a visit to Izgara. read more

We are so excited to have a new restaurant in Weston! We have been to Izgara at the plantation location and honestly this space just hits differently. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the decor and serviceware. The location is in a small strip mall on Weston Road. Parking is adequate and there are actually quite a few restaurants to choose from in the same plaza. We started with grape leaves. Sooo good! The are served warm and that is the only way I like it. The rice mixture melts in your mouth. My husband got the rib eye steak. Our server, Blake, explained that the rib eye is served cut in pieces. He wanted to make sure we didn't expect a slab of steak. He had his meal with couscous. I had the chicken shishlick. It was amazing. The chicken was very tender and and not overly sweet. I opted for fries. Both meals came with the house salad (or Cesear). I should have opted for the Caesar as i absolutely hate cilantro and that was in the salad. Near the end of the meal we were offered a small shot of complementary tea. I loved it. My husband isn't a tea drinker so he passed. We decided to try dessert. We got the baklava. Never have we had it served warm. It was DELICIOUS! The nut layer was perfect! Service was wonderful. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The space is very cozy and I love the emerald green chairs. Soda is served in cans, which drives me nuts. The dessert menu was a little weird. Other than the baklava desserts weren't what I would have expected at a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant - so get the baklava. All in all we loved the experience. Finally a good Mediterranean restaurant in Weston. I really enjoyed dinner here. We started out with the grape leaves appetizer. They are stuffed with rice and served warm and very tasty. My wife for dinner had the Shishlik chicken with fries, it's grilled chicken thighs in honey with onions and pepper. I got to try it and was it good. As for me I had the grilled ribeye steak with coucsecouse. It's also served with grilled peppers and onions. It was fantastic. We decided to have dessert. It's seemed like an odd list of desserts for a Mediterranean restaurant, except for one, Baklava. We had the Baklava, it was served hot. I had never had it served that way before. I never new what I was missing. It was unbelievably good. The combination of really good service, great atmosphere and a great meal, makes this a great place to eat. The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing. The service was excellent. The prices are very good for the quality and quantity of food. We started by sharing an Israeli salad . It was delicious. Next , my wife had a beef dish cooked with onions and peppers in a delicious sauce. Surrounding the meat was incredibly delicious hummus , more than she could finish. I had the lamb. It was ground , cooked medium , melted in your mouth. The spices were great. I also had hummus surrounding the lamb, that I couldn't finish. We took the unfinished hummus home . The dinners were served with pita bread that was grilled. At the end of the meal we got complimentary glasses of hot tea and honey which I have never had before. It felt like eating a dessert. Overall we were really impressed and can't wait to go back. They have a pretty extensive menu of middle eastern dishes. If you like this kind of food you won't be disappointed. read more

A-mazing! The place is absolutely beautiful and charming, with the most wonderful Mediterranean olive grove vibe. The food was outstanding -- the falafels (highly recommended!) were hands-down the best I've tasted in ages. We ordered all the house salads, and they completely filled the table with zero room for elbows! The service was excellent too. They brought us this delicious sweet hot tea that I couldn't stop drinking, and the friendly waiters kept popping by to make sure we had everything we needed. Such a delightful experience! read more

The waitress was very knowledgeable about the gluten-free options. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Baba Ghanoush appetizer. I had the chicken shawarma hummus plate with carrots instead of pita. My husband had the lamb kabob humus plate. Both were delicious and entirely too large for one meal. The waitress offered tahini sauce and a spicy sauce (jalapeno and cilantro) to add to our dishes. At the end of our meal she brought a shot of hot mint tea for us to aid digestion. This is definitely a place we will come back to when in the area. read more

Last night, some friends and I ate at Izgara. From the minute we walked in to the minute we closed down the place, everything was absolutely amazing. The food, decor, staff, portion-size and overall experience were all top notch. We started with the sampler that included kibbeh, baba ghanoush, falafel, grape leaves, pita, Israeli salad, and hummus. It was a great dish to try a little of everything. I can eat the babaganousch, hummus and pita all day every day. We then ordered chicken schnitzel, salmon, chicken shawarma, and beef kebab. Everything came with a nice size side salad and other choice of side. All the entrees were delicious, but my highlights were the shawarma, salmon, potatoes and sweet potato fries. One of my friends is gluten-free and they have great options for her. We shared a couple of bottles of wine that were reasonably priced; they were out of some options on the menu, but the waitress was generous in letting us try what they had. At the end of the night, we were so full and had plenty of leftovers. I will definitely be back! read more

Excellent! We've been to their Plantation location many times, so we were excited to try this one. The menu here is slightly different, which was a nice surprise. Also, this location is gorgeous. I've always loved both the food and the service at the Plantation location, and this one absolutely lived up to that standard. Fantastic service, food, ambiance, and management. They're extremely polite and helpful.

Let me by saying we were 5 that arrived just before 1pm to be seated in an almost empty restaurant. Upon sitting a young woman came over to take our order. To which we were advised that they did not have any alcohol. No beer or wine either. We ordered teas and soda. At no time did anyone bring water to the table. We had to ask for it. We ordered appetizers and that arrived shortly afterwards and were very good but the still no water. We ordered our entrees and waited, waited, waited. Salads were brought out except for one which took another 5-10 minutes for it to come out. We had our salads and again waited, waited and waited some more, At about 3pm the entrees arrived. The food was fair but most of it was fried and greasy. Extremely disappointed with the service considering it was not busy. I will not be returning. read more

Beautifully decorated with black walls, green velvet chairs, rattan lighting fixtures in various sizes and shapes,gold charges at each table setting, olive trees and more giving a true European astehtic . The food is served beautifully and each dish deserves a gold star. The lamb dishes are the best anywhere, the salmon and chicken dishes are delicious..the hummus plates are scrumptious . The portions are very large. They treat you at the end of the meal to a delicious hot tea.
