So many things go wrong with this place:…read more - Hard to set timely appointments because scheduling secretaries don't answer the phone, rely on voicemail - Late appointments (waiting over an hour for 8:10am appt with dr plank right now) - Staff knowledge continuity about patients (nobody takes the time to review patient history before walking into the room) - Incomplete testing orders - Insufficient medical outcomes - Broken internal communication because people don't read medical records - Issues with medical record keeping system updates cause data corruption - some medical staff unaware of procedures performed here (one claimed they don't do steroid injections despite my previously getting steroid injections there) Very disappointed. When I called the billing office, I was told the charges were correct, no explanation that made sense was given. I was then told someone would get back to me. Uh-huh. A week and a half later, I called again. The halfwit I spoke with put me on hold. After a lengthy pause while being treated to a recorded huckster's litany of self promotion, the halfwit returned and said, "Dr. Mullally said the charges are correct." Period. Again, no explanation that made any sense, except to insinuate that I was wrong and I should remember who is a DOCTOR! (DO, not MD, in case you were wondering.) And, the topper....she said I shouldn't worry because "after all, the insurance company is paying for it!" I visited with the first for 5 or 8 sessions but my condition worsen and they suggested that I do surgery. Ivy sent me to the emergency after the second visit because the therapist was pulling my leg to relieve my bulging disc that was causing severe pain. I could not cough without pain. This one charged me over one thousand dollars for two visits plus a consultation and it is still sending me a bill after over one year--that is, they did not bill me in a year but then in January 2021 billed me. Please avoid Ivy in Crown Point. My experience with them is awful!!! If you have a back problem like mine, I would recommend going to Dr. Artemio Del Real at Back & Joint Rehab Center. Dr. Artemio treated me for a year. I am fully functional now!!! My experience with the other two physical therapists revealed they have NO idea how to treat bulging disc (L5-S1).

I was recovering from a lumbar fusion before I began my PT. My therapist, Dr. Kelshanna Hunter, was extremely compassionate, knowledgeable and one of the most skilled clinicians I have ever encountered. She designed a healthcare plan, tailored to my needs, which has enabled me to return to normal activities and reduced my pain to more manageable levels. She constantly provided me with suggestions and tips for coping with pain and setbacks, which only led to a quicker recovery time. As of today, I am a bit over seven months post-surgery, nearly fully recovered from my procedure, dealing only with occasional flare-ups of pain, but extremely grateful for choosing Rush Physical Therapy and Dr. Hunter, for my PT needs.
