I'm super picky about nail salons so before coming I read all the yelp reviews. It was a last min decision to actually go I just happened to be driving by so I figured I'd give it a shot. I was only in the market for a pedi and didn't have much time. I walked in and was greeted and asked what service I wanted and was seated right away. My nail tech was very nice and he made conversation with me as well so that was pleasant. The salon itself was very clean and relaxing, there was a tv but It didn't bother me, massage chair was a little rough (but I'm very tense and sensitive), and water was very hot but I didn't mind. Tools were clean you can see the nail tech take them straight from the sterilization area. I even had a little mishap with my nail polish I was holding (I always bring my own from home) it started to leek in my hand bc I was holding it on its side so my tech kindly cleaned the bottle and my hand and then polished my toes. In all I will definitely be returning here when I happen to be in the area. They even give you little bottles of water while your nails dry and a discount card for returning customers after 6 visits. I highly recommend Ivy Nail Spa in Queensbury. I spent a long time going to other nail salons in the area and I never really felt comfortable, the work was bad or the service was bad or the atmosphere was bad. I finally found Ivy Nail Spa on yelp and instantly fell in love. The techs are wonderful, they take the time to make sure that you are getting exactly what you want, the prices are very good and the atmosphere is beautiful. It's a large open area, very nicely decorated (makes you feel at home) and above all else it is very, very clean. I see one tech there but have had the pleasure of having all of the techs do my manicures and pedicures at one point or another and each of them are very friendly, very accommodating and extremely well at their jobs. So, if you live in the area or are just visiting, and are looking for anything from a basic manicure to gel or ANC you should most definitely check them out. I have tried a number of nail salons in the area and I finally found the perfect one! I had gone to another nail salon that was decent a couple times but the last time when they completely butchered my nails I decided to do some research. When I did, Ivy Nail Salon came up and with awesome reviews. I was greeted right away by a gentleman I believe may have been the owner. I showed him my nails (instead of the traditional squared shape when doing a full set I wanted more of a almond shape), which the last place I went to just didn't do. He took extra time to fix and reshape my nails and they were EXACTLY how I wanted. I understand now why this place also received Best of the Region! From their friendliness to small incentives like handing you a small water, it's clear they value your business which is why I'll be back! read more

This place is top notch! Seriously the BEST service in a clean environment. Excellent customer service skills by all staff. Tom and Lynn, the owners take special interest and know customers by name. They both give outstanding service. The pedicures are incredible, Never a wait time if you make an appointment, they get you right in on time. I think "V" does an outstanding job too! Was up in the 'dacks for the weekend and was seriously in need of a fill format acrylics... I had waited 3 weeks... Too long. Thanx to great reviews on Yelp I found Ivy's and stopped in. Clean and inviting. Up to date waiting area and a huge selection of polishes. The young man who did my nails was a polite and sweet young guy. He did a great job, very natural looking. The only nail salon I will go to in queensbury/Glen's falls. The owner, tom, did my full set. He is extremely FAST (under 45 mins for full set with gel color and answered the phone 3 times) and the quality is superb. The staff is very friendly, although I have never seen more than 5 of them working at any given time. Lots of people get turned away so your best bet is to call ahead or make an apt. Going in the afternoon during the week is a good option too. Excellent gel color selection. Comfortable, clean, and professional. read more

I was so pleased with this place! Will not go anywhere else in the area anymore for a mani or pedi. First off, they are CLEAN. Their stuff comes out of a starilizing machine or is individually wrapped. They are super detail-oriented and gave me the best deluxe pedi I've ever gotten in my life. This salon is the BEST in this area of NY and VT...Made the mistake of getting acrylics last week in Rutland, VT on Woodstock Ave...Route 4...absolutely the worst job EVER...!!! and I've been getting my nails done for 15 years...Discovered IVY and went today...They were super nice, re-did my finger nails...and now they are gorgeous...!!!Also had a pedicure...wonderful, relaxing experience and my toesies look great...!!! Did an awesome job on my manicure and pedicure! The staff were very friendly and the place was so nice and clean. Best manicure I've ever had and the best 1st experience with pedicure. Wonderful service, relaxing and high quality nail techniques. I had a relaxing pedicure that looked perfect and had a French ANC manicure on my hands. If you haven't tried the ANC technology just do it. No lights to bake under and it lasts so much longer than acrylic or gel nails. The French looks very natural. Awesome experience today. I am a newcomer to the ail world. Went in for a pedicure and ended up getting a gel full set manicure as well. My fingernails needed some work. I had the spa pedicure, choice #1 and asked if they could help my finger nails look better. Both gentlemen that cared for me today were courteous, friendly, and professional! Ivy Nails is a fabulous nail salon. It is well run and very clean. Everyone who works there offers excellent service. Tom has done my nails for many years. Had a nail 'emergency' and called an hour before closing time to see if they would be willing to take me 45 min later. They stayed open late to accommodate me (!) and couldn't have been nicer. My gel manicure looked really nice afterward and the warm paraffin wax was a nice relaxing finish. I had a nice experience and was impressed by their willingness to accommodate me. Updated review. Do not expect walk in service. The owner cannot retain employees due to the lack of understanding how to run a business. This is not the old Ivy Nail Spa people expect. The prior owner sold this shop with the intentions of opening a new business closer to town. Expect long waits but good work. Today I went to Ivy Nail Spa and was greeted by a very friendly staff. I did not have an appointment, but I also did not wait long. I received a pedicure with a nice hot stone massage. Ivy nails is the best nail salon in the Saratoga region. I drive from Saratoga to Queensbury to get my nails done without hesitation. They very are friendly and accommodating, my manicures and pedicures always look great. They also provide waxing services which I use and I am always very happy with the finished product.
