I m temporarily living in a one bedroom apartment (with a balcony) but I'm anxiously awaiting a spot in a two bedroom apartment due to their Move-in, Move-up flexibility. I was told that I'm first on the list for a 2 bedroom apartment as soon as one becomes available. The amenities here are great. We have a nice library, pool & spa, salon, fitness center and lots of opportunities to enjoy the movies and numerous presentations that are offered. The food is terrific most of the time. We worked it out with the chef. Maintenance and clerical folks are extremely helpful and go over and above to accommodate our needs.

There's also a café in between. My only gripe is that some of the servers are rude and condescending every time I go there to pick up meals for my clients. I'm there to also be of service and help them, so the tone they speak to me in is really off-putting, especially because of the fact that they work in such a high-end setting. Other than that, this building feels like a hotel, and I would definitely consider this in the future. The employees that come into the residential area are attentive. I also like that each room has the names of the residents, and there's even braille.

My grandmother was staying here (briefly), and we began to realize the scope of the issues here. Every time we visited she was dirty and not bathed, they don't cut finger nails here because "we aren't allowed too". Ok...so then who does? Clearly my grandmother can't. We spent that day cutting her infected toenails ourselves. She would pretty much always smell like pee and be so dirty that we ended up coming every day to watch her and hiring extra care-givers to come and take care of her (this is on top of the cost of THIS place). Within a month and a half we realized this place is incapable of handling this type of care and moved my grandmother to a medical facility with real nurses. What we should have done from the beginning. I won't even go into all the details regarding the staff, which we had major issues with. They can't keep people working here. Every time we came it was "Oh, I don't know, I've only been here a week". Geez...does anyone know what's going on at this place?! Some are OK can be very helpful...others don't do anything and avoiding cleaning "accidents" until the next shift of caregivers arrive. Seriously, they let people sit in their own filth because they don't want to do it. What kind of people do that?! The director knew my grandmothers condition before we came here, they even interviewed her beforehand. We weren't sure if they could handle her, we had our reservations...but they ASSURED us they could. (for reasons involving all the empty rooms perhaps? They say anything to get their rooms filled I guess...) What a horrible mistake it was coming here. I don't know about the rest of this place, I'm sure it's lovely...it's beautiful inside, the food and cafe are great, and as I said many of the staff members here are wonderful people. But our family had serious issues with some people who just didn't care about my grandmother and treated her as an annoyance (including the director of the memory care unit). It's just not the way you want to see your loved one treated.

Trying to find an assisted living facility for your loved one on your own is overwhelming, confusing, and sometimes scary. At least it was for me until I met Michael and witnessed how he helped and made a big difference for the betterment of this assisted living. His knowledge is enormous, and his experience with all the different facilities, based on price range, quality of services and care, community, and all the myriad factors going into choosing an appropriate place will definitely save you valuable time and energy. Brookdale is amazing from the decor and meticulous upkeep to the terrific food. From the administrators and to each and every caretaker. Also, this community focus on dementia has a wonderful social schedule, or perhaps a community for someone that doesn't want all the bells and whistles and is on tight on budget, but still gets a high level of care and need that we all deserve. Most importantly, It's the caring staff that makes this community stand out. They have a highly professional and genuinely devoted staff, which is why this place is one of the best desirable assisted living in south Orange County For those looking for a location for an elderly love one, I highly recommend reaching out to Michael and visit Brookdale Irvine.

While what clearly was a life changing decision originally, moving into Vivante has proven time and again to be the best for both. Sadly, we lost our mom last month after an incredible fight she had been putting up for the past few years. Her last ten days truly showed us the incredible "loving care" by so many of Danica Coronel's TEAM. Now, over the years I have visited the facilities hundreds of times. I have gotten to know many of the caregivers, nurses, medtechs, servers, etc., and I have always felt good when leaving that my parents were in great hands. It is always clean and in good condition. We have enjoyed many great meals, met many residents & their families, and created some good memories (under the circumstances). Those "last ten days or so before her passing," REALLY opened my, and many of my family's eyes to the true depth of passion & caring of SO many of the Vivante staff (On the apartment side & especially in The Shores facility). From the smiling greetings by Jojo & Julie, the always positive Vince, Danica & Olivia, the incredibly joyful Alyssa (and mom Debbie), Krista, Ashlee, Elizabeth, Zoila, Jesus, Angela, Pilar, Irizella, Sara, lovely Aricelli who would make mom a nice cup of hot chocolate with a smile & warm words, to the cooks & servers, there are many more to mention. These past years have also opened my eyes to how difficult a job it is, especially to care for those with various stages/levels of dementia. If you are looking for yourself or for one of your loved ones, my entire family would urge you to look into Vivante Newport Mesa. It is a first class facility run by an incredibly dedicated TEAM that exudes passion. Respectfully, Dan Stauber

As a former Skilled Nursing Director, I knew it would be hard to find not just a care facility but a true community for her. She was my main concern. From the moment we arrived, we found exactly that! Danika, the Director, leads with compassion and strength. Olivia, the coordinator, brings a level of organization that made the transition feal seamless. Julie the secretary, greeted us with warmth every day. Making The Shores feel like home. Kaytlin, the activities director is slowly bringiing my non social mother back into life with her creativity and genuine joy. The employees ooze happiness with their jobs. The service is exceptional and its truly is a 5 star resort for the elderly. The menus are beyond brilliant and the food quality is a chefs kiss! The entertainment is beyond amazing, with numerous grand events to entertain family and the residents. Vivante isn't just an Assisted Living or Memory care facility. It is a touch of elegance that I am putting my name on the waiting list soon! I couldn't be happier with the care my mother is receiving. The employees go above and beyond to make each resident feel loved! I couldn't be more gratful that Vivante has walked alongside our family in such a vulnerable time! You made a very difficult situation a seamless effort to make my mother content and happy. I can literally relax now and live my life in peace. Just an FYI, they serve amazing dinners and have a good selection of wine for visitors and residents themselves. Always a good reason to visit a loved one. Vivante..... One classy place! Exceptional in every way! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Yvette Matthiessen (Yolande AKA YoYos daughter)

From the moment I first toured Forever Young, I was beyond impressed--it felt and smelled like a real home and was immaculately clean. William took the time to address all my questions and concerns thoughtfully, both in person and later during a conference call and follow-up tour with my siblings. We knew immediately that Forever Young was the best memory care home for our dad, and we added our name to the waitlist. As dad's disease progressed rapidly, we toured other residential and larger memory care facilities. Each visit only reaffirmed our decision to wait for Forever Young. During this period, William also provided valuable recommendations for equipment to help dad stay safe while he remained at home. Now, eight months into dad's residency at Forever Young our gratitude for William and his caregiving team has only deepened. The caregivers are genuine, kind, compassionate, and loving--truly exceptional. They know dad so well that they can anticipate his needs, which not only ensures outstanding care but also helps reduce his frustrations with his condition. The staff frequently send me pictures of dad participating in activities, which is such a comfort. Meals are carefully prepared to be both nutritious and tailored to the residents' preferences and abilities. Dad has the freedom to come and go and we can visit anytime. Knowing he is in a place where he is genuinely cared for and understood brings us immeasurable peace. There truly is no better place for dad to be.

We were finding extreme challenge with his then current living situation when we came across William and his team at Forever Young. From that moment forward he proved to be accountable and above all, humble and human. He genuinely listened and was authentic in his position. He has the highest standards for himself and his team. His home was extremely clean and well kept. William was exceptionally resourceful - connecting me with proper professionals in the hospice and MediCal consulting arenas. This was especially important as we had no idea how to proceed with these services. In William's care and experienced advisement, my dad lived as well as anyone could in his situation. His end of life was filled with love and affection. The team was patient and loving to our family's accommodations as we navigated that terribly sensitive time in our lives. William is someone you will immediately bond with and keep a relationship with throughout time. That is how deeply impactful his approach and communication is with his families. I am forever grateful for William in every regard and know that if you choose to be a family in his residence, you too will feel secure and blessed!
