When reached out after a week , they told me it would cost $510 to remove the downspout, plug the hole in the gutter, and redirect that gutter to another downspout. I was willing to move forward with this work, but I was really discouraged by their lack of communication. I thought there had to be at least one company with good reviews who would respond in a timely way, so I decided to check the companies advertising to us by mail. Of those, only one company had consistently positive reviews online -- J.R. England. My experiences working with J.R. England could not have been more different than the negative and confusing interactions I had or read about with other companies. Kate and Ryan are a husband and wife team. Kate responded to me in under an hour, visited our home the next morning, and completed a series of estimates for me before the end of business hours that day. I was impressed by her responsiveness, knowledge, generosity, and demeanor. Similarly, Ryan completed the repair a day after I approved the estimate, and he was friendly and forthcoming with his expertise -- never intimidating, condescending, or pushy. Had a few rain events that have pointed out to us that we have a watershed failure. Greenoak put 5" gutters/downspouts on our home which clearly isn't enough. The worst part, we called them out to look at it, thinking they would stand by their work, or work with us at the very least. They treated us like brand new customers and quoted us $5500 to replace the brand new 5" gutters and downspouts with something bigger... hmmm. 1. Clearly, They don't know what they're doing, if they did they would have taken one look at my house and known it would need bigger gutters in the first place. Up your math skills G.O.... 2. They are dismissive and the owner should be embarrassed with their work and pay for the fix from his own pocket out of sheer mortification. I would've paid for bigger gutters and bigger downspouts the first time, I'm not paying for materials and labor twice! Shame on you!!!! Haaaaa! Ironically my neighbor who hasn't moved in yet JUST texted me as I'm typing this and asked us if our gutters are failing!
