During our tour of the property, we noticed some moisture in the wall behind the fridge and and a couple of other areas with mold. We asked the property inspector if he had any recommendations for a mold company. We asked Steve at Pacific Coast Home Inspection because he was so thorough with the property inspection on. He referred us to Don. I was initially skeptical of this whole mold-sampling business. It felt too simple and too expensive. However, I have since been educated and have a new appreciation for this industry. Don found 2-3 areas that were creating spores. The sellers were conscientious and remedied the sources; however, their plumber tracked spores back into the house. Don had warned that this might happen, but his recommendations weren't followed. Only due to Don's expertise were we able to discover invisible areas where spores were tracked in and ask the sellers to clean them up before we took possession. Without Don's expertise, we would have never known that mold spores were still present. Our daughter is very allergic to mold, so we are so grateful that we found Don and Environmental Mold Sampling. I had a contractor attempt to treat water damage for mold, but he made the situation far worse. I called Don to provide definitive testing, and he was very professional and thorough, and confirmed that the "contractor" had NOT eradicated mold at all. Don's testing found some pretty bad types of mold. He does not do the remediation, so his findings are not biased. Don tested my house after a competent contractor did the sanitation, and the tests came back clean (no toxic mold, levels as expected). I highly recommend this service!

I discussed the job with their inspector Jesse and found him to be very knowledgeable and thorough in his description of their services. I usually do not take the lowest bid on a project but was impressed by Jesse's knowledge and followup and set a date for the inspection. Jesse arrived 10 minutes early and thoroughly reviewed the inspection process. We then took a tour of our home and he pointed out the areas that would be most prone to mold and stated that he would place primary focus on those areas. The inspection included sending air samples out for a full report, and at the conclusion, Jesse explained the areas that need the most attention regardless of whether mold exists. We have not received the final report as yet, but I was extremely pleased with Jesse and Legion Property Inspectors and would highly recommend them for anyone needing a reasonable and knowledgeable home inspection.

I never heard back and called another company for a quote as I don't think that hiring someone you have to chase down to do work is reliable. Almost a year later, I start getting phone calls and text messages demanding payment for work, threatening to show up at my door and asking when I am going to be home to collect payment. I had completely forgotten who this even was because it has been so long. I asked what work they had done and what I was supposed to "pay" for. I asked them to please mail me a bill as I also thought this was a phone scam. They said I needed to pay for the mold inspection report and then also said there was no mold. I had never received a report, I had never received a bill, and asked for them to mail me the "bill" with the report so that I can actually see and receive what I am being charged for and so I knew this was in fact a legitimate company and isn't a scam as the phone number texting me was unknown and I had never communicated with that number. They texted me a file that I could not open and so I asked again for them to mail me a bill and stated that I would like the report they said they are charging me for. A month goes by and I still have not received the report in the mail and they start texting again demanding payment for something I never received. I ask again for them to send me the report, they state that they mailed it with the bill which they absolutely did not. I had received a one page bill with no inspection report. I asked again for a copy as when you are asking for hundreds of dollars for something, you should actually get it before payment especially when the company has been this terrible, lying about mailing a report and never even giving me a call after they come out until a year later demanding money for something I never got. In the end they ended up texting me pictures of a report. I would never hire this company due to their horrible customer service, lying about mailing a report, and never following up about the work, but a year later text demands for money for a report they never even printed out for me. They stated they e-mailed it to my e-mail, but I had nothing in my e-mail and if it went to spam it deletes after 30 days, hence why I asked for a copy. Asking them to actually just send a copy in the mail was too much work for them and never happened, but they still charged me hundreds of dollars for the report.
