Tubbs is the place to go when you're prepping for mardi gras. Not only do they have beads and…read moremasks (including boxes of beads for those will be in the parades), but they also carry a wide selection of apparel in mardi gras colors---everything from funny hats to patterned tights. Go to Tubbs to get your purses, bags, sequined vests, sequined ties, sequined dresses, T-shirts, feather boas, wigs, and on and on. I thought these were way over-the-top fashion-wise, but I was wrong. Once were were at the parade route, the clothing items that seemed so outrageous at Tubbs hardly stood out in the crowd of partying mardi gras celebrants! Next year I won't be such a stick-in-the-mud (fashion-wise) but will be out front partying down in my funny hat and sequined mini skirt! Tubbs also has some lovely housewares and, of course, it is an actual hardware store, too. Just an all-round fun place for an hour or so of shopping!

The perfect example of the local hardware store…read more.. I was in the area doing some work on my parcel of land by Toledo Bend and one of my hand tools broke. Not being familiar with the town of Many and short on time, I used Yelp! to find the nearest hardware store. The older gentleman working couldn't have been more helpful. He showed me where the screw to fix my tool was located, help me choose the size and then, having no tools with me, helped me fix the tool (I brought it along) with a couple wrenches off the shelf. I also picked up another hand tool I forgot at home, which was reasonably priced compared with the big box stores like Home Depot and Lowe's. I would have liked to look around a little more, but had to get back to work. I wasn't in the market for them, I did notice a few hard to find building supplies and hunting items that can't be found at chain stores like Lowe's and Academy. Overall, a great experience...and I was back to work in no time. Probably more of a 4.5 rating, but I'll go with a 5 star rating because of the service and the fact that these local stores are getting harder to find nowadays when corporations come to town.

Like, here you can get a hammer, some nails...or a cream cheese knife with a fleur de lis at the dull end of it...You can buy a saw or some little cutesy LSU knick knack. Thing is, be it the hardware or the kitsch, it's all a bit on the pricey end. Even in their sale, 50%-75% off section, I found stuff to be still out of my league. It's still fun to look around here. This store is located in the Uptown Shopping Center. And the employees are very nice here as well.

This place is fantastic. Their staff is well-informed and incredibly helpful AND the store is really convenient. Also, they have plenty of help so I've not had to wait in line very long. I purchase one a while back and wanted a second do to the increase in my need for more gasoline usage so I purchased another one. This it turns out has a defect that makes it very difficult to open and fill up. I went by to exchange it for one that was not defective since it was purchase from Tubbs. I was told that I would have to go to the company that manufactured them to warranty it. That to me is very poor customer service. I am very reluctant to return to Tubbs to purchase anything. If you asked me if I would recommend them. No I would not.
