We enjoyed a brisket sandwich with mac and cheese, a turkey sandwich with their signature cornbread dressing, and rounded out the meal with banana pudding and peach cobbler! Even though the lunch rush was in full swing, service was prompt and friendly. The food was hearty and satisfying--while it's not "craft barbecue," it delivers plenty of flavor, and their award-winning ribs are worth a try according to the locals. If you find yourself in the Natchitoches area, Sweetie's is worth checking out.

After dodging the usual burger‑and‑fries suspects, I stumbled across this spot and thought, Why not, let's roll the dice. I couldn't decide what to order, so an employee suggested the turkey plate. Cool. Sounds solid. Except where I'm from, a "plate" usually comes with maybe a vegetable or possibly a carb. Something that lets you know it's a plate. But nope. Not here. That's what I get for not asking (lol). What arrived was... a turkey wing. The wing and the drumette. Now don't get me wrong -- the wing was tasty. Crispy, seasoned, no complaints there. But calling it a "plate" felt a little ambitious. Good flavor, decent portion and a lesson learned: in Natchitoches, always ask what comes with the plate. ( Lol)

There is a daily menu on the board and you just grab a piece of of parchment paper and a pen and circle your likings. The service is above and beyond friendly and helpful and they showed me dining like a Sunday dinner at my aunt Rosie's when I was going up. I ordered everything I felt I had to try and now that I'm all growned up I don't have to eat it all to leave the table lol I ordered deviled eggs (Amazing) Mac n cheese (sooo good) stewed potatoes (seasoned so perfect) fried pork chops (to die for ) and both desserts banana pudding and pound cake , both are making there way back to my hotel for my snacks . Everything has good taste no salt and pepper needed and the price for all that was reasonable and most definitely worth every dime . I work out here on and off every other two weeks and now found a place that's good down home eating . If you live here and haven't been , shame on you (unless you haven't yelped it yet like I did) and if you do know then you've been back multiple times I'm sure , as I will . It's got enough seating for a small gathering , probably about 12-14 tables of four . I support the little places before the commercial places and this is why!!!

So after sitting waiting on our food for over an hour the server offered us something different from what we paid for because they had no more of what we ordered. Yes you pay in advance! The menu says the plates are $11.75 & $14.75 but in actuality the plates are $18+. After they ran out of the beef tips and vegetables i ordered they just brought me what was in the kitchen. Chicken thighs. For someone who doesn't even eat chicken! Oh, they had a problem with me not just taking what they offered me. After 2 hours we left. No apologies, no compensation and not even a return good bye when we said thank you while leaving. This woman will cater to the business around town and treat her black customers like we should be glad just to be in her facility.

The first mistake, their hours online says they open at 8, after arriving after 8, no one was there. So I called the number and a nice woman told me they open at 9. So I waited to go back up there after 9. So when I went back up there after 9, I saw that they were open and people were in there working. I went to the drive through. Sat at the drive through literally 10 mins. Nobody acknowledged me, ever came to the drive through or nothing. I know that they saw the car as one of the workers kept coming back and forth to the front placing food in a tray. They saw the car through the window. It amazes me as this place had a huge grand opening sign and this is how they are doing business already. Incorrect starting times, lack luster professionalism. I didn't get to try the food as I was never acknowledged or serviced. This place is already starting on the wrong foot. They should really tighten up or they won't be here long.

I got the special of the day which was baked chicken with rice and gravy and two sides. They guy serving was super sweet to explain to me the ordering process and I had a great conversation with the woman in line before me who comes every week for the Wednesday special. For my sides, I chose the greens and mashed potatoes. Even though I got two starches, it was worth it because the mashed potatoes and gravy were worth having as a main dish! I loved the greens, too, especially since they had all the hot sauce and peppers and vinegar choices you could want. The chicken was fork tender and I left nothing on the plate. I love that they provide each guest a little wrapped package of cornbread and iced cake of the day, too. I will definitely be stopping at Pamela's any time I'm in town.

We both felt really heavy afterward, and my mom even felt sick after eating there. It was just basic diner food and a bit overpriced for something you can get almost anywhere else. AMBIANCE: The inside felt very run down. The bar wasn't even finished and didn't look like it was ever used. Overall, it had a very hole-in-the-wall feel.

I visited Big Momma's often before I retired, and occasionally since I retired (trying to not get fat). I am treated with kindness and respect every time I go there. It's a family owned business and they work their tails off! When I go, I always think about getting something other than the fried chicken, but when I go through the line, I start smelling that fried chicken and I see that crispy skin and I mouth just starts watering. They are the best "home cooking" restaurant in Ouachita Parish. It would cost you a fortune to have the same order at Piccadilly. Everything I have had on their menu is delicious. The family/owners always have smile on their faces. I took my brother-in-law from Oregon here when he visited and he talked about it the rest of his life. If you're a local and you haven't been here, GO! If you are visiting the area, you won't find better food in the entire parish if you're looking for home cooking, but be ready for a nap! I just promised my own brother, who has never been there, that I'm taking him ASAP! PS....their dessert are THU BOMB! AND HUGE PORTIONS, one is enough for two people. Their lunch portions are huge as well. I often got an order to go and split it with my mother.

We got the turkey. For the price(15.99), the serving of turkey wasn't very generous, maybe a scant half-cup of turkey. One the plus side, they did have dark meat, and it has some cranberry dressing. The corn meal dressing was very generous, and moist. It had a generous serving of carrots&peas, not so generous with the squash. We did get a slice of Bumbleberry pie, and peach pie. I was really looking forward to the Bumbleberry pie, as it was supposed to have raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries. I hope that's correct. I was picturing a slice of thick pie just brimming over with fat, juicy berries. Instead I got a thin, flat piece of pie with the bottom 3/4 of the pie filled with a pinkish-red opaque jelly of sorts, and a sparse, then layer of mashed berries on top, just plunder the crust. The body of the pie was just under an inch thick, maybe 3/4" thick. It was an EXTREME disappointment, considering how the town is supposed to be the ""Pie Capital of Louisiana". If I were you, don't bother getting the Bumbleberry pie, but do get the peach; it was outstanding! I wish I had the recipe! The flavor of the peaches came through, it was sweet and delicious, without being heavily sweetened with spices, overwhelming the peaches. Yummy! I'm only rating it a "three", as the service was lacking.
