1000% NO! The owner threw away or lost all but 3 of the dozens of items I consigned. I went to retrieve my unsold items after the vibrations exposing. There were NOWHERE to be find. I sure wish I had read the reviews here before consigning a huge amount of furniture and china to this dishonest business. If you are looking to consign goods, AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. First off, the "contract" they have you sign is vague and has numerous contradictions within it. I thought that I was dealing with a friendly, neighborhood consignment shop, but in reality I was dealing with a predatory, dishonest woman (Vicky) who basically in the end stole the items. When I brought the items to the shop, Vicki indicated that the china in particular would do better online. Adding it up, it was worth well over $1500 alone. She never listed it online. I also consigned several valuable antique pieces of furniture. The commission you are supposed to receive (according to Vicki, not the contract) is 50%. But the contract also specifies that commission may decrease after time and that after 150 days they can simply dispose of your items. In other words they have a disincentive to sell your items. They are better off keeping them longer and even better if you go past 150 days - because then they just keep the items. Here's what actually happens. They make no attempt to sell your items other than letting them sit on the floor of the shop. You get paid next to nothing and then they "donate" your items. When I asked who she donated them to, she was unable to answer. My guess, to herself or to sell them somewhere else. They are also rude as hell. A simple inquiry into the status of my items twice turned into insults and screaming along with being hung up on. SELLER BEWARE. YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF. read more

Shop is a mess. Overpriced garbage. Why would I pay $45 for a wooden duck? If it was at goodwill it would be $2.. overpriced furniture with visibly damaged leather from a safety pin and a tag that was already marked up from the original price. Rude cashier. People.... a consignment shop is not an easy business to run! I just support a few shops by purchasing from them, but I do understand a bit after working with people involved. I'm grateful for people like the ones at Ivanka's trunk who undertake and offer the public the opportunity. Walk through this shop...it's full of history! It's full of unique retro items. Yes, there is a lot! I brought four things in to Ivanka's Trunk for consignment for the first time myself. The owner was clear and precise with her procedures. The contract was easy to understand. It is the persons responsibility who brings things in for consignment, to follow up and be on top of things. I received a check in the mail the next week for one item that was already sold. Do not consign things with Vicky, she a is a lair. I've called multiple time about a check I was supposed to receive for a sale. It's been months since my items have sold. It states I should recieved my check a month after my stuff has sold. Them you have the audacity to take 50 percent from my stuff and check fee so I get next to nothing. Do not waste your time. I am tired of calling. And Vicky is also rude and a damn liar. read more

We came in 45 minutes before close. We were not greeted, and as we shopped we were stared at. The lady working turned out lights around the store as we were shopping. The lady then asked me if i was ready when i wasn't even close to the counter, i said ok, im sorry are we catching you closing early and she said nope. We left and she turned off all the lights. May be a nice place for buyers - but it hinges between unethical and just plain crooked for sellers. DO NOT JUST drop off your items trusting that they will be properly inventoried and credited to you - no matter how well you mark the boxes. We never saw seven of our linens again. Another 4 items were never listed on our final inventory. Prior to taking them to the store for consignment sale we had listed in great detail 61 items on the provided consignment agreement form. When we arrived at the store we were told by the owner that she does not list things "that way", and that she would re-inventory (and set prices) for our items when she had the time. A couple weeks later we received a copy of her listing. It did not match ours. Some items were missing. We decided to pick up our unsold items after 90 days because this fit our life's schedule. Be aware that you are expected to bring your own boxes and packing materials as well as to walk (which due to the absolute clutter and stacks of items is difficult to do) through the store to retrieve your items. With the help of a very nice employee we spent over 2 hours trying to locate 55 items. We could not find 7 of them. I left photos of the missing linens and she said they would continue looking for them. Another month passed with no contact from the store so I called them. The clerk who said she had looked again with no success suggested I call the owner over the weekend. I did this. The owner pointed out to me that they are not responsible for any consignment items left with them as stated on the agreement. The agreement also states "all reasonable care will be taken of articles to Ivana's Trunk...". Misplacing 7 pieces of linen - from large vintage lace table clothes, to table runners is not in my mind taking reasonable care. I was told that I could come back and look for them again... If you truly care about your items and hope to sell them and to be reimbursed what is due to you for the sale DO NOT USE IVANA'S TRUNK for this endeavor. read more

I was referred by my neighbor to take some old items from my parents home that I found in the Attic, owner Vicky was there when I told her I was referred to her by my neighbor, I asked her a question about my product, she was so rude and disrespectful to me it was a shame, as a business woman myself I would never treat a potential client or a client the way she treated me. Not once did she look me directly in my face as were talking, she did everything behind the counter as we were talking to avoid looking me in my face as we spoke, not sure if she didn't care for people of color, or she was just a real son of a bitch! However the service was rude and it totally represented who she is! I would not recommend this store it doesn't matter how nice her products are, it about treating people with respect! read more

Please do not do business here! What this place does is completely unethical. They take belongings and the owner never knows what happens to them. It's wrong. TAKE YOUR THINGS TO LEGACIES INSTEAD! I know of a few people that have given items to them for resale and have been completely taken advantage of. I feel bad writing a review like this, but what I know of how they conduct business is just wrong. One of my friends lost her father and after trying to sell his brand new dishes, they told her that they would add the dishes to her account. She was so distraught from the death, that she didn't get a receipt. When she asked about the dishes, they told her they never got dishes from her. It's a shame when this happens to a grieving person! They've also taken items and then told people they couldn't sell their items and that they would donate them to Family Share. But after going to Family Share to get the slip, they said they never received a donation. read more

People BEWARE of this place. I had a very bad experience there last week. She is very shady. She told me a price on something I wanted to purchase. I texted that price to my husband right away to discuss it with him. She told me she would hold the merchandise for a couple hours to talk to my husband about it. That was the only nice thing she did. When I went back that day to make the purchase, she increased the price. She was very rude and told me she never told me that first price. My mom was with me, she heard the first price, and I know what I heard for a price as well. All people have to do is read all the bad reviews she has out there, I didn't see many nice ones. All I know is I will never step foot back in that shop, and I am telling everyone about my experience! I really don't know how she is in business yet! read more

Vicki misled by saying that we would have a successful estate sale because of our high-end furnishings. We turned over $27k (our cost) of furniture, home goods, power tools, and a car to sell. She told us not to get rid of anything after we signed our contract and before the sale. We received just over $3k over 2 months later after calling multiple times (the contract stated 14 days). Vicki said that her "computer crashed and all of our sales information was lost". We were originally told that we'd have a 2-day estate sale. We ended up with a 4-hour sale, 2 hours of which were half price. The most expensive items that didn't sell ended up on her showroom floor. We would have rather given the items to family and friends. I am disappointed with the customer service. I brought several crystal items in December and they haven't sold. According to the agreement I can come back and retrieve my unsold items. It would have been nice when I called to ask if I could pick up my items that I was told to bring a box. I brought them in a box. IIvana's trunk is a horrible business very dishonest. I had her do a sale for me on May 20th and it was nothing but problem after problem. It is now June 21st and she still hasn't paid me. She took more things out of my house than she sold and this was the week before the sale when she was suppose to be marking things. If that isn't bad enough she put the ad for the sale in the journal for the wrong week. Instead of it saying May21st it said May 14th I had people coming to my door all day and they were very upset. If that isn't enough the actual day of the sale she posted the times there was a line outside an she didn't even show up til way later several customers told me. When her and her counter part finally showed up she decided she was short of help at her store so she left one person to watch two floors plus the garage an outside. She took my pet turtles an never told me she was going to do so took my riding lawn mower key an has refused to return it. Today is 30 days from the sale. Since she is ignoring me I am going to the police for theft an then filing a claim in small claims, court for non payment.
