It's a delicate balance and Generations seems to know how to keep it. Most of the stuff I saw was in great shape, not outdated garbage and very reasonably priced. We scored a nicely framed vintage poster for about $40. It looked like most of the tag dates were fairly fresh, so stock turns fast here. If you see something you like, snap it up because it will probably be gone! In terms of "good stuff", pricing and general atmosphere, Generations is far better than both Chattel Changers and Legacies.

When we arrived, it was about 20 minutes prior to closing, but we decided to go in for a quick looksee. I pay attention to customer service and if the vibe is welcoming and this visit it was NOT! We did not get a hello or welcome. When paying for my candle, the owner said hello, my total, and asked me to punch in my card pin. Honestly, it felt as if we were stepping on toes for entering their shop close to closing. We weren't the last customers in the shop, and we were left the store 10 minutes prior to closing. When we left, the owner immediately ran outside and pulled in her sign and closed the door. My friend and I both talked about how unwelcomed we felt, and unfortunately, we decided we will not be coming back here. It has nothing to do with the items inside the shop, but it is a crummy feeling when you want to support a small business but are left feeling rushed and unappreciated.

First week had a problem with the Frigidaire fridge had a waterline problem they swapped out the first week then the second week Maytag washer had to be exchanged the second week. Then last year I bought a furniture set. In about year in half it started giving me problems with the reclining. I thought their would be no problems since I bought there New Leaf insurance that states on their website that they cover motor framing and accidents. They sent a tech out and refuse coverage because they said the frame was bent. Crazy thing is this frame is all steel and it's just me and my wife and nobody hardly ever sits in that loveseat, anyways I paid all that money for insurance and they will not cover it. They contacted colders and yet they still have not contacted me back open claim sent a Better Business Bureau and still no reply. Worst customer service ever. New Leaf insurance coverage is a scam. If you do decide to buy something here do not get their insurance. It's worthless.

I sure wish I had read the reviews here before consigning a huge amount of furniture and china to…read morethis dishonest business. If you are looking to consign goods, AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. First off, the "contract" they have you sign is vague and has numerous contradictions within it. I thought that I was dealing with a friendly, neighborhood consignment shop, but in reality I was dealing with a predatory, dishonest woman (Vicky) who basically in the end stole the items. When I brought the items to the shop, Vicki indicated that the china in particular would do better online. Adding it up, it was worth well over $1500 alone. She never listed it online. I also consigned several valuable antique pieces of furniture. The commission you are supposed to receive (according to Vicki, not the contract) is 50%. But the contract also specifies that commission may decrease after time and that after 150 days they can simply dispose of your items. In other words they have a disincentive to sell your items. They are better off keeping them longer and even better if you go past 150 days - because then they just keep the items. Here's what actually happens. They make no attempt to sell your items other than letting them sit on the floor of the shop. You get paid next to nothing and then they "donate" your items. When I asked who she donated them to, she was unable to answer. My guess, to herself or to sell them somewhere else. They are also rude as hell. A simple inquiry into the status of my items twice turned into insults and screaming along with being hung up on. SELLER BEWARE. YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF.

Not sure what they're charging dealers to set up (that could have something to do with it). I have attended twice this year. Last weekend the weather was perfect. Not worth driving about an hour to see the same 70 or so dealers that you can see at most of the other flea markets. I would guess that maybe 20 percent or less of the dealer spaces were filled. Don't see any reason to go back to this flea market, It's a shame, this used to be one of my favorites.
