I found that they had been here for over 60 days, so the price was now 25% discounted. Yay for me! As I checked out, I was told that pillows were on consignment from a woman who got them for a new couch but found they didn't do what she had hoped for. So she sold them unused. I believe it, as they were in perfect condition with no smell to them. The pricing here is appropriate, and unlike other consignment shops, the items do not smell old and used. The variety is good, but you have to keep checking in to make sure you don't miss a good item. Things come and go quickly. The rooms are not stuffed full which is nice.

First of all, their furniture selection is amazing! M&R has every style you could ever want. I can't imagine anyone walking in and not being as impressed as we were. We could tell just by looking at the furniture that it was all very high quality. And then when we sat down on it, there was no doubt in our minds that this store is committed to selling some of the finest, well-made furniture you can get your hands on. We worked with Michael, who was very attentive to our wants and needs. We have a unique living room configuration that is a little difficult to work with, but Michael came up with a great suggestion that gave us more seating than we had or thought we could ever have. We are so grateful that he had that vision and that we followed his advice. We honestly feel silly for not arranging our LR that way all these years. The furniture we selected was very different from what we had had in the past. I was a little nervous of how it would all come together. When it arrived, all my fears were allayed. The pieces are beautiful! Everything looks and feels amazing! There is an accent chair that Michael nudged us a little to consider and recommended a certain leather. He said it would really pop . . . . he was right! It is a stunning chair! Although people who are seeing our furniture for the first time compliment all of the pieces we got, everyone is just wowed by that chair. We are so glad we listened to Michael. He has a great eye. It is our favorite piece! And we would be remiss if we didn't mention the impeccable customer service that M&R offers. Starting with Nick, the owner, who is so friendly and personable, to Carol in the office, to Jason and Scott who provided the best furniture delivery we have ever experienced, and, of course, Michael who was such a pleasure to work with, we can say that you will absolutely have a fabulous furniture-shopping experience with M&R! We will definitely be back! We still need more pieces, and I want to get my hands on some of their unique accessories that they have throughout the store. ;-)

While many of the makers' goods are familiar to me from fairs in Milwaukee, seeing them all in one place is a testament to relationship building, good curation and great service. They have a grapefruit mint candle that is natural and smells refreshing, and I wanted to get that again. When we arrived, it was about 20 minutes prior to closing, but we decided to go in for a quick looksee. I pay attention to customer service and if the vibe is welcoming and this visit it was NOT! We did not get a hello or welcome. When paying for my candle, the owner said hello, my total, and asked me to punch in my card pin. Honestly, it felt as if we were stepping on toes for entering their shop close to closing. We weren't the last customers in the shop, and we were left the store 10 minutes prior to closing. When we left, the owner immediately ran outside and pulled in her sign and closed the door. My friend and I both talked about how unwelcomed we felt, and unfortunately, we decided we will not be coming back here. It has nothing to do with the items inside the shop, but it is a crummy feeling when you want to support a small business but are left feeling rushed and unappreciated.

Some guy won't need to run off and find a calculator, then scribble some mess out for you to try and decipher. (Yes. That's actually what happens in a store made by and for adults.) I have to recommend you shop at almost any other store. If they exist, find one without commission based sales people. Especially one where they aren't so obviously desperate. Or just do the right thing and buy online. Be your own sales person. Even if you want to shop from Colders, buy it from their website and save yourself the price is this or that fiasco. Final friendly side note: Walmart sells- for example, Winners Only items on their site for half what Colders does. And they clearly show the price. As does Overstock, Amazon, and others. She took more things out of my house than she sold and this was the week before the sale when she was suppose to be marking things. If that isn't bad enough she put the ad for the sale in the journal for the wrong week. Instead of it saying May21st it said May 14th I had people coming to my door all day and they were very upset. If that isn't enough the actual day of the sale she posted the times there was a line outside an she didn't even show up til way later several customers told me. When her and her counter part finally showed up she decided she was short of help at her store so she left one person to watch two floors plus the garage an outside. She took my pet turtles an never told me she was going to do so took my riding lawn mower key an has refused to return it. Today is 30 days from the sale. Since she is ignoring me I am going to the police for theft an then filing a claim in small claims, court for non payment. My boyfriend woke me up at 6am, unable to sleep. He told me we were going to a flea market that…read morewould be open already. I grumbled. I wanted sleep. We could get up and drive to the burbs for some flea market after I'd had my full 8 (read: 12) hours of sleep. After loading myself up with coffee, we were on our way. He was right. Go as early as you can. We rolled in around 7ish with all of the other sleep deprived, unshowered flea market goers. I was in absolute awe of how big it was. It would take a few hours just to glance at each booth. There are two indoor components too. They have food for cheap. I shamelessly ate a brat at 8am, which fueled the rest of my deal hunting morning. It's also worth noting that they were selling beer... and people were buying it. Pretty sure it was only High Life and Miller Lite, but still. There were plenty of fairground appropriate food options to choose from. With the two hours we were there, I don't think we saw half of the booths (granted we did take time to sift through all of the 90s Packers jerseys). No pets. Bring a cart or something to haul your treasures around. Get there early. No need to dress to impress. Bring cash, duh.

The amount of dealers that set up there compared to a few years ago doesn't really make it worth…read morethe drive. Not sure what they're charging dealers to set up (that could have something to do with it). I have attended twice this year. Last weekend the weather was perfect. Not worth driving about an hour to see the same 70 or so dealers that you can see at most of the other flea markets. I would guess that maybe 20 percent or less of the dealer spaces were filled. Don't see any reason to go back to this flea market, It's a shame, this used to be one of my favorites.
