Earlier this week, I felt sick and was actually unable to drive more than a few miles or go to work because I hurt my body by not drinking enough water and just wearing myself out! I literally didn't take the girls to school Wednesday because I felt too sick to make the trip! So, as stupid as it seems, I made an appointment at this place near my house to get IV hydration today. I'm so excited to tell you about this, and I hope you don't think I'm being crazy right now! There is a lady, who is a nurse practitioner at women's center at Hughley hospital, 12 years at MCA before that. During Covid, she realized how many people were actually getting sick and not able to recover because they weren't getting enough nutrients or enough hydration or enough of what they need from their food and drink intake. She opened this place, complete health at Green Oaks, one year ago! You just come in, take your vitals, and then you sit in one of those really fancy massage chairs like they used to have at the Brookstone store at the mall. Do you watch TV for 15 to 30 minutes while you get an IV and then you leave. All of the IVs are a bag of Celine, and then you can choose what you add into it. There's one for energy, there's one for vitality, there's one for hydration, there's one for mood elevation... I think she has 10 or 12 different ones available. So you get a massage, you get to relax and watch TV, you get hydrated, and you leave feeling so much better! This is better than getting a pedicure, I feel like it's better for my body than getting an actual massage, just incredible! She does take Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, but they only pay for certain things. If you're paying out-of-pocket, it's $150-$200, depending on what you're getting. You can come just one time and give it a try and never go back, or you can do it once a month if you're trying to achieve some kind of a goal, like weight loss or if you are trying to increase your vitamin B12 to help with depression or anxiety (I'm planning to do that!) Please know that she did not ask me to do this, I do not stand to gain from this financially, and I really just thought it was so incredible. I want to tell people about this because I want to see people feel better and I want for all of us to take better care of our bodies to prevent getting sick instead of treating sicknesses that happen because we don't take care of ourselves! Really, whether you go in just for the heck of it now, or if you remember this the next time you start feeling sick or rundown, or if you remember to tell someone else about it when they tell you that they are having a hard time recovering from a sickness, please remember this! I did not want to have to have a confrontation with strangers about masks but because the nurse did not, I did. I first asked very nicely, "hey would you guys mind please wearing masks?" And of course the answer was no. And as I insisted it was state law etc, the nurse said nothing. Then, the man was loud and yelling at me. I asked her if they were allowed in there without masks and she then finally said no they were required to Wear masks. And then they did. I imagine there are lots of people who go there who have health conditions and the last thing they need is to have to have a confrontation with strangers when they are just trying to get well or stay well. Of all places that should be concerned about protecting the health of their customers, I would think this would be one of them. I understand that the nurse also probably did not want to deal with a confrontation but when I made my very simple first request, she should have immediately jumped in to ask for their compliance.

She really takes the time to go over your past results to make sure you get what you need. All of the staff are friendly and professional. I originally found them through a Groupon. You can usually use one Groupon every 90 days but make sure to read the fine print before purchasing to determine if it meets your needs. Services bought through Groupon don't earn you rewards points through programs like ASPIRE Rewards, so you may do better overall buying directly from them - I highly recommend signing up for email and text alerts so you get notified of their flash sales.

If anything, she got worse while she was under their care and objected to us removing my mother from the facility when we saw it was necessary. Many of the staff are good at what they do, unfortunately, the two handling my mother's care during her rehabilitation weren't!! Other staff members privately confirmed that they are very short-handed at this facility and nurses don't voluntarily chip in to help the Certified Nurse's Aids (CNAs) when needed! As a matter of fact, very few of the staff volunteer to do anything and give the impression that it is a major inconvenience to assist! Phone calls ring endlessly, patients' "red button" calls go ignored!!! The staff doctor, Dr. Satani, isn't much better if we consider effectiveness. Besides, he goes twice a week and many times... not even that! It's a real mess at this facility although they insist that the change in management last summer has made some major improvement!!! Although complaints were ongoing on our part, the head administrator took no interest in reaching out to us. Thanks to Joanna, Social Administrator, who was the only one who listened and helped us with our situation. If you love your family member, DON'T bring them here! There is new ownership in place as of last summer, which was a very positive change. They're a small locally owned company that was built on morals and ethics, and prides themselves on patient care. I would highly recommend this facility whether you're looking for short term rehab or long term care. Take a tour and meet the staff, you will be impressed.
