Three friends are visiting me from out of town, so we went there together. What a find!!! We all found things we loved and made purchases. It's fairly small, but they had a really nice selection of clothing, along with some other items. The staff are awesome, so friendly and helpful. We arrived an hour before closing time, but they never made us feel rushed. Prices are about what I expect for a botique, and the clothing each of us bought seems to be very good quality. It was a great stop on our girls' trip!!!

I love cows and have purchased the Lang Cows, Cows, Cows calendar for over 15 years. The monthly artwork spotlights paintings by Lowell Herrero. This frame ornament contains a print of one of Lowell's paintings. The staff is very friendly and look at the nice sticker on my receipt- thanking me for supporting small business! I'm happy to!!

The need to pick up unsold items before a certain date was made clear when I dropped off my resale items. I do not recall anything being said about the requirement to stop by for payments within 30 days of sale. Of course, it's all in the contract...so Haute Exchange keeps my $$. More than half the store is given over to clothes and there are six short aisles of housewares and knickknacks. They don't have much in the way of electronics, kitchen items, or furniture, but I was surprised to see a great deal of country and religious records. They do have two bathrooms and three dressing rooms. It was worth stopping into, but this store doesn't rank very high on my list of goodwills that I've been to.

From the outside, this looks like a small thrift shop, but once inside you'll discover a large back room with shoes and mostly men's + women's clothing. In the back there's also an entire room set aside just for kids clothes and toys. At the front of the store, they have tons of books, a decent selection of glassware, games, puzzles and a few electronics. Everything here is very well merchandised with a level of quality you won't find at your average Goodwill. Lots of good clothing with very good pricing and two dressing room rooms to try them on. Across from the dressing rooms you'll find lots of CDs and DVDs. At first, I didn't think they carried any furniture, but they have a lot of furniture and luggage hidden in outdoor covered location next to the men's clothing area. I brought in a silver necklace to have the clasp repaired and asked about adding a safety chain…read morelike a friend had done. The woman at the counter when I first brought in was very kind and helpful, and the clasp repair itself was done well. It seems the problem is with the man that sits behind the curtain that came out and took my order and was there when I picked the necklace up. However, the completed work added a chain in a way that made the necklace impossible to put over my head. At no point was I told this would happen. When I returned to pick it up and pointed out the issue, he became rude, loud, and dismissive. He said I insisted that a chain be put on and it was totally my fault. He insisted I should still pay for the added chain, made an inappropriate comment saying "you old people always seem to be this way," and continued raising his voice even as I was leaving after I told him I will not be back. He said I was disrespecting him and he would take no more business from me! I agreed to pay and had the chain removed since the necklace was unusable as-is. This situation could have been easily avoided with proper communication, and the way it was handled was extremely unprofessional. I will not be returning and advise anyone else to do the same. Shame on this Vik's Jewelry employee in D.S to be so unprofessional. Here is my take on this situation: When someone asks about modifying a necklace clasp or adding a safety chain, it's standard practice for a jeweler to explain how that will affect wearability. Not pointing out that it wouldn't fit over your head is a clear miss on their part. * Customer interaction: Raising his voice, making a comment like "you old people...," and continuing to yell as you left isn't just bad service--it's inappropriate and disrespectful, full stop. * Blaming the customer: Even if there was a misunderstanding, a professional would clarify, fix the issue calmly, and move on--not escalate.
