As a parent, I felt really good about dropping off my kids here as I knew they were taken care of very well. The place is very clean and the curriculum is engaging. I can tell how much my children enjoy it as they do a great job of sending daily updates and photos which really help us get a good grasp of what they do all day. Also, my kids always left with a big smile on their faces. This only happens when the people who operate this place truly care about the children. I can say my experience was about as good as it gets and we absolutely plan on bringing the kids back very soon. I noticed there were some legacy negative reviews that were tied to the previous ownership - but speaking from experience I can say unequivocally that this daycare is absolutely pristine and the right place to send my kids to. We've had some good and not so good experiences with other options and Genesis is without doubt on top of the list as I feel confident they take great care of the kids and keep parents regularly updated with their daily communication. Highly recommended.

Their mission statement is so good!…read moreBut in reality, they don't care about individual kids, don't appreciate the creativity of their employees, and their curriculum is only geared towards pre-schoolers and it's not set up for allowinging 1-3 graders to learn and flourish. As a result, it's really a disservice to even have it in out schools. it's definitely one program that should be cut due to budget. It does little good and costs way too much.

However, the amount of care and personal attention that's my daughters got here was amazing, all of that in a very clean, perfectly organized environment that prepared both of my daughters to continue and excel in excellent private schools. We As parents were very happy and I am planning to put my third daughter in when she comes of age. I think the best testimony to the greatness of the school is my oldest daughter memory. Even today, she claims that the real difference in her education was her kindergarten years and she still remembers all teachers dearly.

We started out with great hopes but the underlying problem of this school surfaced pretty fast. This is a one-person show and the rest of the teachers and aids are changing very fast. The Montessori method is great but keeping children sitting on the line for an extended period of time is simply unacceptable. Also, each time when they line up for any activity they have to stand motionless otherwise they won't participate in any activity. Her solution - sit back on the line. So what are they doing all day?! Nothing! Young children should never experience such harsh treatment. This woman shows no genuine emotions towards the children. Her only way to manage the classroom is by screaming and yelling. Harsh verbal discipline (HVD) is scientifically proven to be harmful therefore it is a wrong choice to keep the children under control. The last drop before we pulled out when we realized the water bottle was almost full in the lunch box after a whole day in school. Imagine your child was neglected without drinking for more than 6 hours. Extremely disappointing experience! No trust what so ever! Oh, and your children's vocabulary will pick up a few new expressions such as: "I am overwhelmed with you"; "Shut your mouth!"; "Be quiet" and "It is your fault". Isn't that great!? I am very happy that I could save my child from this bad energy and harmful environment.

Both days were unacceptable and honestly upsetting. I'm extremely concerned and disappointed with the level of care my children received. My daughter came home in a dress and without any underwear on, despite me packing a duffle bag full of extras--clothes, underwear, socks, wipes, a blanket, and a towel. Why wasn't her bag checked? Why was she sent home improperly dressed? Worse, I found her belongings scattered all over the floor in an unlocked classroom during pickup--no supervision, no help. I had to gather her things myself. My son wasn't cared for properly either. His clothes were falling off of him, and his face was covered in dried snot that I had to clean myself. I packed his swimsuit, towel, and shoes, yet he didn't participate in water play because no one bothered to check his bag. The level of security is also concerning--there's no check-in or ID process. I could have walked in with his cousin, who is not even registered, and no one would have noticed or stopped us. Their lunchboxes were untouched, which means no one ensured they even ate. That's neglectful. To top it off, communication is nonexistent. No one returns phone calls or answers emails. I also witnessed a teacher berating a child with visible annoyance. Completely inappropriate. These are not minor issues. This is a pattern of carelessness, poor supervision, and unprofessional behavior. I expected basic safety and attentiveness. What we experienced was the opposite. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: The business owner gave me a call AFTER I posted this review and left a voicemail message. I called her back and left her a voicemail message a few days ago. Instead of calling me back, she decides to provide a response to my review below.

I really appreciate how they cater to my daughter's strengths and weaknesses and always encourage her to go a step further. As someone who works with young children myself, it was very difficult finding the right preschool but I am so confident that she is in the right place. Aside from her amazing teachers, the administrative staff is also wonderful. Extremely accessible and accommodating (even when I made way too many changes to the schedule), and very friendly. Even the other teachers that we see in passing are always so friendly. It's a small school where you get to know the staff pretty well, unlike some other preschools/daycares that make you feel like you're just one faceless number in a crowd. Would definitely recommend this school. The only con is the location (fort lee) makes it hectic to drop off/pickup because the street turns into a 1 way and it's right across from one of the public schools so it get crowded. Also, the tuition rates are on the high end...but you are definitely getting what you pay for!

It's a truly enriching environment where you see your children grow exponentially, truly! Now I can say It's even better the second time around with your grandchildren as my grandson is graduating this year from Class 5! I also remember every single day of my daughter's years there and her darling cousin. They both had fabulous experiences with the original cast and crew. My sister and I went to help class 3 bake and gave the girls teacher a block of dough! They were wonderful about it and we all had a good laugh. The children come home and tell the parents everything so you know the staff is amazing! I love my grandson's teachers. They are amazing as are all grades. He teaches me about space and more! Oh, we all started with the toddler class and recommend it highly. Best place for your little ones to begin and you can peek in! 5 stars don't look further! She started in September with three full days a week and loved it so much her parents increased her to five days. This was her very first time away from home, and the teachers were incredibly kind and reassuring. We were worried in the beginning about how she would adjust, but they sent sweet photos of her being comforted and held, and thanks to their warmth and patience, she adjusted beautifully. Before long, she was eagerly looking forward to school each day! She adores all the special classes, but music with Miss Momo on Fridays is definitely her favorite. One of the highlights of the year was the holiday show they performed for the families. Seeing those little ones dressed as elves, singing, and shaking their instruments putting their whole hearts into it was absolutely precious. Our granddaughter has truly blossomed at Palisades Preschool. She's become quite the social butterfly and talks all the time about her friends at school. The teachers often send photos and videos during the day, and it's so clear from those big smiles that the kids are having the time of their lives while learning and growing. On days that I pick her up from school, I'm amazed at how joyful and excited all the children are at Palisades Preschool. It's been such a wonderful year, and while we're a little sad to see it end, we're thrilled she'll be joining the summer camp and moving on to the 3s class this fall.
